Almost all my play time in Warburg is spent trying to move fights away from the beach, which I hate. It totally kills the zone having everyone hanging around there in my opinion, which is why it's my least favourite zone to PvP in.
I have no earthly idea why the people who whine the loudest about heroes running to the boat, always go straight to the hero beach the minute they get in zone.
Silly, if you ask me. The zone is much better when the play is spread around it. -

No offense to Octavian Vanguard (see comments made about frustration) but I wouldn't expect many pleasantries for fast killing death/gank squads.

Most of the PvP I've done lately (at all in fact) is in two defender teams. Sometimes with a (PvE built) scrapper or two as well, but more often not. I honestly cannot remember the last time I was in a team which was bigger than four people in a PvP zone. We certainly don't have the sort of numbers that a couple of the villain groups we regularly fight do.
Hardly what I'd call a "fast killing death gank squad", and if it is then zone PvP has more issues than I thought it did from a teaming point of view.
A large number of people simply seem to have issues with people who play sensibly, and play to the strengths of the sets they are using, and it's absolutely nothing to do with uber builds. -

Sorry to hear that, normally union folk a lot better than that. You have to let me know in game which blaster it was.
[/ QUOTE ]
It's not normally better than that at all.
[/ QUOTE ]
Joking aside, it's really not normally better than that, and I don't play an Emp, I play a Kin most often, sometimes a Rad. -

(hero side, I wanted something super-powerful so I built a Dominator for villain side)

YAY! More Domis in PvP.
[/ QUOTE ]
I'm really enjoying her for PvP, I wanted something different from what I'm used to, it's also nice to build a character and not have to worry too much about having massive mobility at level 30 for Sirens.
I have to confess I made a Kin corruptor too, I just couldn't resist, I promised myself no more kinetics, but, well, I guess a girl just can't have too many and I like them. Can't wait to get her into some zone PvP. -
I pretty much only ever play Defenders in zone PvP (hero side, I wanted something super-powerful so I built a Dominator for villain side
) on Union, and I have established, I think, what is generally expected in order to avoid getting moaned at. You just need to follow these three simple steps:
1. Don't buff people, it's lame.
2. Stand still, being stunned while standing still would help, it'll avoid the possibility of you accidentally falling face first onto a heal button or something.
3. Die. Lots.
Do more than that and you'll tend to get whinged at a fair bit. Defenders are there to provide easy kills - everyone knows that! -
I guess I don't get to wind you up about being a lazy bum student any more. Damnit!
'grats on the job Amber, catch you around at some point I'm sure. -
Hey there Arctic Princess, check your PMs please.
Cheers,

Nah, you're fine, if you want to do it that's no problem and we have room for both you and Nicky. You'll both need to take an exemp though (to 46 or 47) or it'll screw up the level spread too much and we will mostly be going squish.
-
Excellent, that's a full team. I'll see you all later on.
-
At 7:30. It starts in the Chantry.
Still have one more space for this. -
My supergroup is planning on running the Saga of Lanaruu TF on Friday evening (tonight) at 7:30pm UK time and has three spots free for anyone brave enough to join us. We'll be starting the TF at level 46/47.
Teamspeak users would be preferred but it's not essential. It just makes life easier
Anyone up for it?
Please shout here or drop me a PM if so. Cheers. -

I have heard that RV is getting stalker heavy though.

I've noticed that too. All zones are really. There's definitely been a shift recently in what ATs I'm seeing most of in the zones recently, now that I think about it. -

I expect Dominators to be the new standard in zonal PvP by the time I get back, btw. so get to work, y'all.
[/ QUOTE ]
Hehe, don't glare at me. My highest level villain is a Dominator. -
If you're still in need of the badge, my SG normally runs an STF once a weekend, and generally has a spot or two free for people from outside the SG.
As usual, when I know when and how many spots for next weekend, I'll post on this forum.

That was a very fun team to play in. Not the quickest ever - took us nearly 2 1/2 hours in the end, but I really enjoyed it, and the last mission was a doddle.
Cheers.
Also, I didn't die! (Yay)
Ohms also didn't die (boohiss!) -
For Ohms obviously, I never die, I'm invincible! Or invisible maybe. Something like that. -
I know, but encouraging you to get yourself killed is always as much fun as actually getting you killed myself!
(I think both the kins for nuking fun btw, SB PLZ!) -
If you're desparate for the badge on that character then that's fine, but if you wouldn't mind using one of the other level 50s you've got listed in your sig (frankly, anything but a tanker would be great!), it'd be a lot more useful. Apart from anything else I think you're going to feel like a fifth wheel in the team we have.
See you all later.
Please be on time folks. -
Probably the Fire/Rad please.
Edit: One more spot for anyone daft enough to join us. -
Lovely, I'll see you there.
Still two spots free, had someone pull out. Strangely, a blaster or two would probably be handy, but we'll make anything work.
Usual bonus points for anyone helping me get Ohms killed of course. Don't forget to bring cookies for the Kinetic. -
Yup, see you there.
If you don't mind what you play, Reactor Core would probably be best (no surprise!), but if desparately want to use a scrapper, that's fine. -
My supergroup is planning on running the Statesman TF tomorrow (Friday) at 7:30pm UK time and has a three spots free.
Teamspeak users would be preferred but it's not essential. It just makes life easier

Put 2 accuracy IOs in Transfusion and 4 numina's convalescence as these give a 6% bonus to heal powers. Slot another 4 in health along with the unique from that set and you can boost your heal from 468 to 500. Expensive though, i've only managed to slot two in each on my kin.
[/ QUOTE ]
Theoretically, yes, but you're aware that the heal bonus doesn't work most of the time?
Same bug as with Power Build Up. I had them in for a while, but ended up speccing them back out and saving them for my other defender, as the majority of the time I was getting a lower heal (by three points) than the Kin I team with who simply has 3 level 50 Heal IOs in transfusion. -
PvP against stalkers (I play defenders, generally):
I see a lot of stalkers that provide pretty easy kills - they don't learn to play their sets well (possibly because it's quite easy for them to get a reasonable number of kills anyway against players who don't keep moving - of which I see a great deal), and make a series of mistakes, which lead to them getting slowed, debuffed or drained, and killed, or being fairly easily driven away or avoided.
If there's a semi-decent stalker around, prior to epics, I'd probably die if I make a single mistake (e.g. firing a longer animating attack at a bad time and rooting myself on the ground for a while).
Inventions have been very good to the solo stalker.
I thought the original post was going to be sarcastic.
