I've been encouraged by Hyperstrike to post here.
It seems I have a similar problem although the problem is slightly different with this error instead http://img801.imageshack.us/i/newnvidiaerror.jpg/

My system is an ASUS N53JF laptop with:
Intel Core i5-460M 2.53 GHz
Nvidia Geforce GT 425M (and an integrated Intel HD graphics card)
6 GB DDR3 RAM

I've sent a support ticket, and they're looking further into it.

I just wanted to add, COHHelper makes an error saying "Unable to read you City of Heroes registry information!" every time I run it. On top of that, as mentioned I can't get the Geforce graphics card to show up with driver information no matter what I do.

Because it uses the Geforce GT 425M card when it runs CoX, but for some reason it doesn't show up in the logs.

I already have, and I did not choose Ultra Mode settings the first time I started the game on my computer. But all of a sudden, yesterday it started having these CoX crashes. I will, however, try and tweak a bit more on the settings.

EDIT: If you meant all Ultra Mode settings, I just want to say that it doesn't help either. However, at resolution 1600 x 900, CoX wasn't running in the background after the crash. Not sure if it helps explain anything?

Anyone? And can it be related to the same problems that some people have expressed in this thread http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showthread.php?t=244780 ?

It seems it gets more stabile if I lower the resolution, but I'm not completely sure.

Hey forumites. As the title says, CoX crashes for me. Generally it just occurs randomly with no specific "pattern". Sometimes it ends up with slowing the entire computer down so that I have to turn the power off, other times I can close it down, but CoX will still keep running in the Task Manager under Processes. If I then try to open CoX again, it only makes it to the City of Heroes Loading bar and then says the following:
"NVIDIA display driver files from different (incompatible) versions of the driver have been detected.
NVIDIA OpenGL acceleration is disabled in order to maintain system stability.

To resolve this problem, update the NVIDIA display driver. The latest driver is available at http://nvidia.com
Error code: 5"

I have already done what it says, but even with the newest driver from March 24, it still does the same. My computer has an integrated Intel graphics card and an Nvidia Geforce 425 M.

Can you help me find a solution?
