I wouldn't mind it, instead of being origin specific and banned from the others, simply giving a boost to the abilities within, should your origin match. Like with the Nemesis Staff or Blackwand. Perhaps a large bonus for an exact match, and a smaller bonus if the origin is one that is linked by DOs.

That sounds reasonable to me, but I don't have to program it.
