Back to my orginal question: How do i tell between driver crash and a graphics card crash?

There is no error msgs. My screen just goes black and my system kinda like stalls and i have to hit the power button for it kick back on.

I been having trouble with my computer for a few months and i cant figure out the problem, here is a link to my intial post which is how i got to this point.:

My question is how can i tell if its my graphics card or driver that is causing my computer to crash?

So i installed Riva Tuner and started tweaking my overclocking. Well my graphics card was not overclocked and it seems to be working fine. Maybe my OS system is overclocked?

I tried playing Command & Conquer 3 several times and now even that game is crashing my system to! im thinking the problem could be my driver, i have uninstalled/re-installed it, took off the nVidia firewall, got the latest patch (185.85). But still crash!!

What can i do to test the difference between a bad driver and a bad graphics card?

Now that u mention it, my buddy (who is the computer guy that put my computer together, but now lives 2500mi away) did overclock my computer. I gotta go back to the shop anyways, i guess i should have them take it down a little, right?

Not sure if this makes a difference, but CoH is on my e:drive and teamspeak is on my d:drive. i turned off the recommened things like the ipod and punkbuster. is there any kind of log that would tell what happens when the game crashes?

Back at the beginning of Mar09 i have been noticing that i have been crashing 5mins into the game. I have owned my nvidia geforce 9600 GT card for over a year and never had a problem with it til then. I diont see any driver updates or game patches that coincide with when the game started crashing. I have gone to 3 different computer stores and they told me my graphics card is working fine. I have no problem with any other of my computer games so i know im not overheating or anything like that. Anyone have any suggestions, sources or links to help me get back to the game?

Its amazing how you put together all these cool features but still have not worked on past feature issues. By i3 you had Epics for heroes and since i6, almost 2 years ago, villains STILL do not have epics. Heroes can change epic powers via respec; villians are STILL stuck with the 1st patron they picked. Heroes have been giving numerous maps to explore; other than Grandville (RWZ and the Abyss/Monster island are just copies from heroes) villians STILL have not recieved new maps. And then you allow villians to team up in RWZ, but the issuse of giving teammates from opposite factions inspiration is STILL not fixed. Well i would like to clap my hands and say good job on all the new features and concept that you guys have come up with, and do not worry about villians side because we all know it was just something you guys threw together just so there is an illusion of balance .

After watching movies like Troy and Gladiator, plus that new movie 300, they have all really gotten me into the anchient greek era. Can we get those style helmets, kinda like Magneto's, but with the mohawk. Also the breast pieces, shin gaurds and bracers would be fantastic!! If i am going to fight in the arena, might as well look like a REAL gladiator!!
