Indeed and one I would agree with personally.
Quote:Another is Sea Witch and im sure the list could go on and on.
Wonder who else there is? (Probably a topic for another thread).
Edit: Thanks Ashen for the compliment. Genuinely -
Quote:It's not just you. That happens to me all the time. It's stuck on quite a few characters as wellAlthough, oddly enough.. if I ever create a new toon and hit 'Random' for a laugh, why do I always get toons in pink. Not a little pink, no... just a massive heap of PINK!
Could just be me setting it off though. :P -
I love it when people preach a bunch of words which barely manage to make any sense and that fails to address the issues at hand and disregards the opinions of others.
If you want to get along with others, just get along. Don't jump into their face and go "I'm this type of person."
It's like walking along the street and being jumped upon by charity workers who don't seem to understand that one of the quickest ways to put someone off donating is to be aggressive about it. -
Quote:That would be the most obvious assumption. It is not, however, a confirmed fact. That is kinda the point there is an absence of evidence so we can only default to the evidence we do have and that is straight heroes/Villains.
And FFM is right. Unless it's a plot point for a story arc in the game, it has no relevance - it's not even a speculation point, because really the only speculation you have about sexuality in this game is that Manticore got lucky on his wedding night and that Dominatrix is very, very sick indeed. -
Quote:And yet if I tell the world that I'm a straight, white male and proud of it, I get called a bigoted, sexist racist? Usually by those who claim that I'm trying to put them down.Being open about who we are is how this world rejects hatred and bigotry
I wish we could all get along - I'd love that. But until the hypocrisy comes and those who demand equality are equally willing to give it, I don't think it'll happen.
(NB: This doesn't apply to everyone demanding equality just, in my experience, the ones demanding it louder than everyone else, rather than trying to live their lives) -
Quote:Holy crap, you posted something that made me laugh!Synapse seems pretty flamboyant - Back Alley Brawler has an outfit that's a heck of a lot like the ones worn by the Supatrolls in those male only raves in Skyway City - Lord Recluse's father came from the same country as Bruno - open your eyes and see the cavalcade of camp right under your nose!
Well done. -
Quote:Which is more often than any person over here (especially where I live). And for the record I make a point of saying "Toodle Pip", "What Ho" and "Cor Blimey gavna" at least twice a day.
In fact, the only people I've ever heard say those phrases was the collected US cast of Mary Poppins. -

Quote:And how do you know they're straight? Or have you made an assumption without facts? How do you know? The sexuality of NPCs and contatcs isn't mentioned that often in their bios - quite a few signautre characters could be non-unhappy.

Quote:Peter Davison (and I've got a soft spot for Sylvester McCoy too)Heh, oh yeah. That's pretty open-ended, that, isn't it? Does that mean we can discuss anything at all as long as it's got a European connection?
Favourite Doctor, anyone?
Eastenders or Corrie?
Who thinks Poland's gonna actually get all the infrastructure in place for the Euro 2012 in time?
Eco.
Neither, they're both boring, banal tripe which should never be allowed on television
Football? Oh dear lord no. -
Is the weekend actually over...?
*That was my subtle voice* -
I've just gotten my 57 month badge and will get my 60 month one at the end of October. Given that the offer granting Tier 2 access runs until mid-November, that means I'll probably see most, if not all, of Tier 1.
Then again, they may not start the GR beta until 2010, in which case I'll definitely see it all.
I hope I was joking in that last sentence.
Around the same, my friend whom I introduced to the game, will get his 66 month Vet badge. Stupid account system due to the transfer to the EU...
Yes, I'm still bitter. -
Bacon and Tattie Scone with no sauce.... you East coasters have some weird tastes!
-
As said in my other thread, got my 4.75 year old Defender to 50 at long last.
Got my Illusion/Rad Controller up another level to 42. (Not bad for 2 missions work - and story arc bonus)
Started a new DB/SR Scrapper - got them to level 20.
Started a new PB duo with my Wife, got them up to level 11.
Was a fun weekend. -
I spent early morning Saturday on Defiant, levelling my Ill/Rad controller.
Spent most of the weekend on Union though. -
Erm, no. Most (all but Jack and one other I believe) of the dev team at that time stayed here.

(Not you personally, obviously, unless you do. In which case, stop it.) -

We have so many differences in the scant miles comprising our isles, not to mention the rest of the EU, so what hope do we ever have of communicating with the myriad souls on the other side of the Atlantic (heck, Pacific in some cases).

Quote:Maybe in crazy land, but I've been having a roll and burger for all my 32.5 years on this planet - it even says that on the menus dotted around the city.Nonsense! A roll is the thing we put our chicken fillet, lettuce and mayonnaise on to make a delectable lunch. A bun is what burgers and hotdogs go on, you silly aardvark.

Quote:Days then went out to prove that black is white and promptly got killed on the next zebra crossing...Well, it must be. Golden Girl encountered 'admin problems' on the NA forums but was still cheerfully (very cheerfully) able to post on the EU forums. As she is able to post on these forums it leads us to the conclusion that these are indeed the EU forums with a few friends been invited to join us!

Quote:Rubbish, it's a roll. Always has been, always will be...For the first and last time, the thing that the burger goes in is called a bread BUN!
(regional differences are fun though. Since we're at it, to all my colleagues and other people from Leeds - the word is THE, not T' )
