back from swimming! Well more "aquarobics" No instructor there but I did a bunch of stuff I remembered from previous classes, INCLUDING AQUATIC BURPEES! RAAAAAAAAAAAH Did a lap, did some burpees, did another lap, did some crunches, did another lap sprinted in place for 2mins. There were kids in the pool making fun of me but I don't give a [censored] lol
[/ QUOTE ]
sure can't do burpees I see how it is
jk
hows the knees?
All that had to hurt.....
Welp off to bed 5am comes earily and so does my workout!
[/ QUOTE ]
I did the burpees in the water silly! No impact! When I work out in the water I don't hurt after. At all. Zero impact, and buoyant. It's so awesome. You also get 3x the workout in the water than you do on land, so if you have a pool near by, USE IT, especially in this horrible heatwave..UGH -

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Natto I've been seriously craving this for a while.
I loves me my Natto rolls -
Thing is I don't use that much oil. A tsp here a tsp there.
Cooking Spray = PHO Partially Hydroginated Oils are the bad things.
Olive Oil is a good one.
Make sense? Olive Oil is good. PHO = Bad
basicly because Corinary artery disease runs in my family, I cannot use the cooking sprays loaded with PHO's. MIL IS getting me an Oil spritzer when she comes down. So I can put the EVOO in that.
Of course, 4tsp of olive oil isn't that bad. Teaspoons not tablespoons.
hence why I'm going with South Beach. It was designed by a cardiologist. -
I'm not burning 1000 cals a day usualy that's the thing. I'm very very sedintary.
-
Yesterdays calories were 1441 and todays will be 1042. I'm gonna hit the pool after supper and puddle around a few laps, probably "run" pool laps.
-
I told you it's too carby for ya Noire :P
and according to the South Beach Diet book ,it's a phase one recipe and the nutrition at a glance says the grand total is 506 calories. -
South Beach Chopped Salad with Tuna
1 6oz can water packed tuna
1/3 cup chopped cucumber
1/3 cup chopped tomato
1/3 cup chopped avocado
1/3 cup chopped celery
1/3 cup chopped radishes
1 cup chopped romaine or red leaf lettuce.
layer in a bowl, lettuce on bottom tuna on top...pretty easy..
Dressing
4tsp Extra virgin olive oil (EVOO)
2 tbsp fresh lime juice
2 cloves of finely chopped garlic
1/2tsp pepper.
For this I just dump it all in a food processor, not even chopping the garlic, let the food processor do all the work. Drizzle this over your salad. Nummy light lunch! and filling too
506 calories, 48g protein, 18g carbs, 28g fat 4g saturated, 640mg sodium 50mg cholestorl and 6g fiber. -
HOLY COW. I just added up the calories for what I'm eating/ate today and I come out with a whopping:
1042 calories!
That South Beach chopped tuna salad was do die for and was so filling too! (too many carbs for you Noire, at 18g)
WOW. Just WOW. -

Here's what you can do. Go to a friend who has a toddler. Offer to take said toddler for a walk in a stroller.
(pray they have a jogging stroller)
Jog with 2min sprint intervals while pushing stroller
TRUST ME IT"S HARD WORK! lol -
Yesterday's Meal diary posted up in my blog. today will be a bit better for sure. Got a buttload of housework to do this morning, and after supper the lil dude and I will go on our power walk around the base trail again
-
I can't do any of those Noire. I have bad knee remember?
not much good if I knock my knee out of place and am forced to be sitting in a wheelchair.
LOW IMPACT...that's the key.
I can walk, I can't jog unless it's on an eliptical. i can *barely* bike due to the way my knee grinds....
Man I hope they find a new Aquafit instructor at the gym -
hmm that sounds good. now I gotta find something for chicken breasts, and more hamburger.
Burger is on sale...so is chicken breasts -
New Meal diary up in my blog!
Hey Noire, any Kid/Alpha friendly dinner recipes ya got?? Today is grocery day. -
Noire, I use plain unsweetned yogurt...dunno how many carbs it has...
-
btw Noire: Here's a recipe you can eat, without the pita,
Chicken Shawarma.
Take 1lb or so, of frozen skinless/boneless chicken breasts, and cut into very very thin pieces. Get a sharp knife.
Marinate in:
1 cup yogurt
1/2 cup lemon juice
3 tbsp cardamom
3 tbsp cumin
1/2tbsp corriander
1/2tbps nutmeg
1/2 tbsp cinamon
Overnight.
Then cook covered in a pan *everything even the goop* on low heat for about 30min, then uncover, and raise the heat and brown the chicken stirring frequently.
Serve with: Tatziki sauce, or garlic paste *bunch of garlic cloves wizzed in EVOO to make a paste, and/hotsauce over a greek salad. -
No Noire. no other kind works without even worse side effects.
Zombification without a penchant for brains being one
Manic episodes landing me in hospital being another
And well...there's another that would make Alpha EXTREMELY unhappy if you know what I mean..
Remeron works to stabilize my moods, and only ups my appetite for food. Can't go wrong there. I need to do a serious pound drop to lose what I've put on since Christmas time -
Well, I keep getting hungry because of my anti depressants...
I had the rest of my lentil/brown rice dish all spiced up with wonderful thermogenic spices of Cardamom, Cumin, Cinamon, garlic and onion, on top of a whole wheat pita with cucumber, red leaf lettuce and some low fat ranch. Tastes kinda like..a vegitarian Gyros. NOM.
Lentils + brown Rice = complete protein. -

I drink Green tea. And Bengal Spice herbal tea. I hate Orange pekoke
Only caffinated beverage I drink daily is one cup of coffee in the morning. that's it. -
Hunger is your worst enemy btw. You go hungry body goes into fast mode and starts stockpiling fat.
Key is to NOT be hungry.
Noire, Splenda is a chemical I can't injest any form of sucralose/Aspartame without getting dreadfully illI highly encourage you to look into using Stevia. It's natural, 0 carb and 0 cal sweetener.
-
http://www.healthylifestylepublishin...evia_faqs.html
Here you go Noire, a non-chemical sweetener with no carbs and no calories -
Celesital Seasonings bengal Spice is just that, a whole slew of spices you'd have in your cuppboard lol Cinamon, cardamom, pepper, Chickory,
I can't drink anything with Aspartame or Sucralose (splenda). I'm allergic to it. One smidge gives me a migraine from hell. Hence why I'm using the more..umm..expensive yet natural sweetener, Stevia powder. 0 carbs, and non chemical.
Yeah the Tetley Pomegranate green tea has like 1g/carb per serving. I think I'll get the ol Lipton, or even hit up my health food store for a custom blend and a tea ball. -
We're just doing it for the excerises. Told Alpha that it would be good for him too, because instead of dragging his sorry [censored] to the gym first thing in the morning, getting too tired to work, he can do it before going to bed, take a long hot shower and konk out. no need to stick with Gym PT schedules
BTW Tetley Green Tea and Pomegranate + Celesital seasonings Bengal Spice teas go well together. Might make a huge batch of it and chill it for later. -
Alpha has the Px90 queued up in his Utorrent right now. We'll be pricing excersise bands when we hit up wally world tomorrow. hehehe.
YES I got him kinda on it too.
Right now I'm just gonna do the "Push the stroller and chase the active 2yr old workout."
The Military jogging path that goes around the base is 1km with stations all along it for chin ups, ladder ex, wall climbing..(I'll pass on the wall climbing....can't really do that with a stroller) I think I'll do the ones I can tonight on my walk. Will try to jog a bit here and there for intervals....
