ahh, never considered raising difficulty, thanks for the tip! you've convinced me to give the cloak another try

hehe, yeh i love the look of it, and I've read a little about these sappers but not come across any yet (highest I have so far is my level 33 brute - when do I meet these sappers?).

also, just out of convenience (can't always find a team) I tend to solo a lot - which ultimatly means most mobs I coume across are relatively small in number and quite manageable without the cloak. In this situation, wouldn't the cloak be detrimental as it would cut into my fury building?

Can't comment on any other builds as my energy/dark brute is pretty much the only character I have only really used in the game so far, but I would stay stick with it.

I love my en/dark brute, to such an extent that every time I try and test out one of my other characters i very quickly give up and go back to the brute - so far I have 2 whole servers with slots full of heroes and villains, the brute is level 33, the rest are between 2-8! didn't want to hijack miss's thread so thought I should create my own.

I just picked cloak of fear for my brute, there were not may powers left to choose that i liked the look of (was a choice between cloak of fear and energy transfer ((energy melee - at least I think what the power was called)) ) and so I went for the cloak.

My question is: was it a mistake choosing this power? I really can't seem to find much use for it, I hardly ever pvp, and the only time I would go into a pvp zone would be to collect badges or temp powers.

am I missing something? what can i use this power for? and should I use my free respec to get energy transfer or should i just bear with it and save the respec?

im still interested in signing up my corruptor (level 26 dark/thermal) and piratical brute (level 30 energy/DA). But unfortunatly theres been some last minute plans made and I'm going to be away as of this afternoon until the 6th August

may get a change to log on for a day or so mid next week, if not, just hope there'll be spots left for my 2 characters.

Pirates of the Apocalypse, that a pirate themed vg? if my character Captain Pinkbear would be interested, recently quit my current VG after a long period of not seeing anyone on.

also have an old corruptor who i had almost retired, would be good to bring him back

was almost ready to hang up ol' Q Pid's cape after i hit level 26, couldnt seem to find anyone to team with.

did a mission earlier today with my level 24 brute in sharkhead. unfortunatly I have no idea which contact it was from now, but I remember the mission was to take out a Longbow EB called Ballista.

when I enganged him in combat, he referred to me as "HeroName" in his speech.

Personally, my corrupter is more of a support character, having choseen dark blast as my primary and thermal as secondary.

i can, if needed, hold my own, but not that well. I've tried to design him to be a lot better in teams, and i think it works great. being able to heal people makes you very popular with the teams and so can usually get myself onto with relative ease.

the only problem is, teams often need a LOT of healing, and i just dont have the endurance to both heal the team and fight at the same time, so i've resigned to the fact that thermal will be my most used powerset. then again, in line with my plan to be a support character, i can use my primary to pull with a sniping move and also trap large groups in my tentacles and then leave the rest to the team while i carry on healing.
