  1. Angus may have been invisible to any type of technological means of detection, but this didn't exclude plain old eyesight. Jake clearly saw him making his way towards Acanous in an obvious rescue attempt.

Well, obviously, an Arachnos Arbiter charged with the task of bringing said hero back wouldn't like this. Landing on his perch, he took a quick aim and fired a stream of plasma at Angus's head, which, if it hit, would tear a perfect hole through his skull.

Tamesis's eye twitched as the staff gave nothing to indicate it had even been damaged.

Dammit. He thought. This guy's shields are as good as Jake's.

This is, of course, when he saw the giant-evil-buster-cannon-of-death-and-destruction, as he liked to call it, be brought into the fray. Grinning, he hopped back a fair distance, opting for the rest of the soldiers to stay back and fire as well, if for nothing else, then for the effect of overkill.
  2. ((Alright, alright, I'm coming. *GrumbleChristmasGrumble*))

Tamesis had given the man almost no time to even think of the words he was about to say, his combat oriented brain already noticing a pattern. It appeared that his crystalline staff was the source of his shielding, thereby making it his weak point more than anything else. Teleporting right next to him, he immediately made a grab for the staff, hoping to take it, or at least break it, as soon as he had a grip on it.

Jake was just beginning to see the battle on the horizon, his goggles already identifying several figures in the battle, including the retreating L3-37 and his captured resister. "Excellent work." Jake praised as he passed by, the robot giving barely more than a beep to signify that it had received the message, much less appreciated it.

But why let this element of surprise go to waste? Jake veered upward and to his right, heading straight for an old building. The perfect vantage point for sniping.

  4. "Well, [censored]!" The head of the tribunal cried, his face getting so hot so as to almost give literal meaning to 'blood boiling' anger. He slammed his fists on the podium, a thud followed by a small crack indicating that at least some damage had been done to the elegant piece of furniture.

He sighed, rubbing the bridge of his nose.

"OK, attention!" He screamed, conversations that had been going on instantly dying at the sound of his voice. "Cry has left his post. Courses of action?"

"Track him down, of course!" One man shouted, his face indiscernable in the crowd.

"Wait for him to come back. He lacks the finesse to read minds, so there's no reason he should be out there because he's running." Another shouted, his face equally as hidden.

"Agreed. Besides, that's not his style."

Much debate was had over the subject until the group finally came to a compromise.

"Very well, we'll send out several probes and wait here until he's found. Agreed?"

    "Aye!"
  5. If things were indeed going according to Acanous's plan, it had to be one of the least formulated plans in the history of reality. The Sky Raiders, if they had the least bit of intelligence, would have gotten out of the way of the onslaught far before Acanous reached them.

((I'm assuming. I'll leave it to Sovs, who actually controls them, to decide.))

But, in the unlikely event that they did sit there, dumbfounded, and basically more helpless than a turkey in the rain, they would find a steady stream of plasma and missiles, a feat of organization and timing allowing the robots to keep up an attack that would devastate all opponents. As W0-07 opted to switch to explosives rather than incindiary rounds, he saw the words come from Acanous's lips to which he responded.

    "lol skillz"

His four other followers replied "Kekekekekekekekeke", fired yet another literal wave of plasma and missiles at the group. The Sky Raiders would be completely decimated, and Acanous would at least be partially crippled from the burns.

    U 2!

    [/ QUOTE ]

    I've heard of them.

    >.>
    <.<

OK, fine. I'll admit it, bad joke.
  7. This was certainly a new developement. The robots' collective experience with this particular being didn't show him to be able to do that. Regardless, their objective would be completed. That would be assured.

Seeing that their one method of containment wouldn't work, one sole Protector Bot continued onward with its prey whilst the other five stayed behind, ready to take down the threat.

W0-07 uttered a single word before he lead his squad into battle against the master of space.

    "n00b."

A literal wave of plasma beams, incindiary missiles, and overall pain crashed over Acanous like a tidal wave would a surfer. Should he be even the slightest bit damaged from his little escapade from the bubble, he would be absolutely devastated by the sheer force of the attack now being launched at him.
  8. The pair would find that the robots had no intention of letting them escape. Indeed, as soon as the two had seemingly conceded to their fate, both Protector Bots simply renewed the Detention Fields and began to carry the two away. It wasn't difficult to push a being cut off from reality through space, and it was certainly made easier considering both of them were simply waiting.

The robots flew off into the distance, carrying their bounty back to their master.

"Nice reflexes..." Tamesis muttered as his hands hit the forcefield, noticing that the man hadn't even flinched, but instead had opted to take to the skies. Wasting no time, he teleported into his path, this time attempting to knock him back with a blow rather than damage him.

Right now, he had to bide for time. Hopefully, along the course of the battle, a weakness in the shield would be found.
  9. ((Wait, as in, skin tight shields? Dang. Editing, if I can at this point.))
  10. Cynic would find himself rather lacking in the time department to complete what actions he took. Malak's order was carried out with the utmost haste, giving him almost no time before Tamesis brought down both of his darkness enshrouded fists onto the head of the cocky intruder.

In addition, many soldiers were now rushing towards him, maces drawn and ready to beat Cynic to a bloody pulp, as well as several snipers now in position and ready to assassinate the being at any time.

Tamesis's overhead blow should have kept him from performing such acts of defense, and therefore would leave him subceptible[sp? Probably wrong...] to any and all of these blows.
    -----

Jake nodded briskly and blasted off in the direction of the indicated coordinates, arriving shortly thereafter. Although, the trip should take at least a minute, he assured himself that his creations could handle themselves in that time, if not capture the two.
  11. "Depends who's asking." Arbiter Tamesis replied cockily, folding his arms in front of his chest as recovered from the sudden surprise, his eyes glancing over the new comer. "Generally, guys who pop in out of nowhere in front of three of Arachnos's most powerful leaders," His ego lead him to bend the truth a little, considering that he truly didn't have as much power as either of the two others. "Don't have good intentions in mind."

    -----

Jake muttered something in his headset, sending a signal to the very same soldiers who had just finished fighting. Luckily, it seemed their lust for battle hadn't yet been satisfied. The unexpected visitor would soon be within firing distance of at least two dozen blood thirsty Arachnos Soldiers, and at least half a dozen snipers.

    -----

"Witty Remark: Peekaboo!" Incindiary missiles fired from W0-07's shoulder mounted missile launchers, putting the apartment in a literal blaze as everything from wallpaper to furniture caught fire. Not only would the smoke make visibility almost impossible for the limited visible spectrum offered to mortals, but it would also cause their inferior biological functions to malfunction, in addition to the fire scorching their skin.

But the assault didn't stop there. After W0-07's missiles, the Both Protector Bots L3-37 and N0-013 encased the two in Detention Fields, with the intent of bringing the both of them back to the Steel Canyon Arachnos Outpost.

    -----

Just as Jake finished giving orders, a small beeping emitted from his goggles, a small message indicating xyz coordinates for a certain location on Earth.

"Lord Scirrocco," He began. "W0-07 has given me the coordinates to the two rebels. Shall I assist my robots in capturing them?"

"Yeah, go ahead." Tamesis boastfully replied, despite his opinion having no impact on the situation. "Malak and I shouldn't have any problem keeping this guy down in case he turns hostile."

"In fact," He added, grinning at his [At least, what he hoped was] adversary. "I could probably beat him down alone. Whaddya think, Scirrocco?"

While Tamesis wasn't very bright, he was a brilliant fighter, and loved to spar to boot. While a fight may not have been an ideal situation, Tamesis had been put in the mood, and would gladly exchange blows should the situation allow.
  12. Perhaps you could make one of my RP character?

Also, his backstory is here. Should be the last post on the page.
  13. "Makes sense." Jake remarked, his right palm meeting his chin as he thought. "Unfortunately, I'm not very skilled in Kheldian tech."

"Don't we have a sector for that?" Tamesis inquired, walking very casually with his hands behind his head. "Well, maybe not a sector, but at least a specialist? Seems like we would."

In addition, nanites flooded from the inner workings of each of their battle suits, repairing damage done to each of the armors. Fairly soon, within the next few minutes, even, both of their outfits would be fully operational again.
  14. ((*CoughStillDon'tKnowWhereCryIsCough* >.> ))

I knew it. Jake thought matter-of-factly, keeping his attention to Scirrocco. That infant doesn't have the needs of the whole in mind. Attacking Black Scorpion? That complete defiance of the truce could cost Arachnos dearly, and for what? Because he doesn't like him?

Jake sighed. Cry was certainly a power to be reckoned with, but his lack of foresight, or, for that matter, common sense, made him a poor choice for a lieutenant, which honestly left Jake wondering how he'd gotten the position in the first place.

But, like Scirrocco, it wasn't so much that part that worried Jake so much as the cryptic message given to Malak by the Mu Mystics.

"Kheldian vehicle? Forgive me for my ignorance, but may I ask what your agent is speaking of?"

"Yeah," Tamesis agreed, having just finished his internal monologue consisting of the words 'Stupid' and 'Baby.' "What's this about a Kheldian vehicle? Something happen while we were fending off these guys?"

Even as the group spoke, workers were already getting on the sight, and the framework for an entirely new wall was beginning to be built.
  15. Roughly half an hour later, the entire chamber was lighted and filled with what looked to be high-tech Arachnos machinery. The Arbiter glanced around the room, satisfied; for the time being, anyway.

Truth be told, he was a bit worrisome. If there was one thing he had learned in his long line of service for Arachnos, it was that nothing this easy. Nothing. He proceeded with only a cautious optimism, nothing that scanners were picking up other small EM fields in the area, indicating another technological presence in the area.

"Damn that Walsh..." He muttered. This would be made much more difficult with the presence of an opposing faction.

But for the moment, at least, they outpost was secure.
  16. An annoyed sentence was uttered from the lips of Tamesis, saying something along the lines of 'Sure, but I hold off a Sky Raider assault and barely get acknowledged.'

Of course, such wasn't said with the intention of anyone hearing it, so it was kept to a barely audible whisper.

"So, what, we just gonna hang out until W0-07 gives us the coordinates?"

    -----

"Thank you." Jake replied, not wishing to push the compliment. "And yes, Tamesis, we'll have to wait. Take the time to recover a bit, W0-07 should be done in no time flat."

"Unless Lord Scirrocco has something of more pressing concern? Surely a simple skirmish isn't enough to warrant a relocation of one of the inner-circle." He turned his eyes to Malak, already sensing that not everything was right. Cry had run out in the middle of a battle, and one that had taken place in his office, nonetheless. But still, that small act of insubordinance wouldn't be worth sending in Scirrocco.

Then what was it? Had he done something else while the battle was taking place? Surely that had to be it. Perhaps a larger act of insubordinance after he left. Cry always did have a 'I'm-better-than-you-so-I-can-do-anything-I-want' attitude.

Jake assumed this to be the case, but still listened intently for a response.

    -----

((And, uh, before I continue with the tribunal... Where's Cry, again? >.&gt)
  17. ((Wait, wha- *Reads through pages* Ah, crud. *Sigh*))

The two heroes dissapeared in a flash, leaving absolutely no trace as to where theywere going, and leaving no trail to follow. The two had made the perfect getaway, and they would be getting away from assaulting an Arachnos outpost absolutely unscathed.

Or, in any case, that's what they'd like to believe.

"W0-07, lead the squad to their location. Contact me once you're done tracking their teleportation."

"Response: Affirmative. Command: File Reference, Pop Culture. Autobots, roll out!"

The six of them launched in what seemed to be a random direction, Hell-bent on finding the location of the duo and bringing them back for interrogation.

    -----

Soon enough, half a dozen robots none-too-stealthily blasted through said apartment wall, plasma blazing and incinerating or melting everything it touched. W0-07 immediately sent out coordinates to their current location to Arbiter Jake.

((Wonky timing it to where this happens after Scirrocco, Tamesis, and Jake recover from the brawl. 'Bout two or three minutes after the fight ends, I guess.))
  18. Jake followed Malak's lead, ordering the six of his robots to follow the heroes. While they may have been going beyond the speed most humans could handle, it was always a bit tough to compete with artificial monstrosities equipped with jet rockets.

The half dozen machines quickly gave chase, following the duo with almost no trouble.

W0-07, naturally, had a say on the matter as he fired at least a dozen heat seeking missiles from shoulder mounted missile launchers.

"Witty Remark: Reference, Internet Phenomonon[sp?], Zero Wing: Somebody set YOU up the bomb!"

Something resembling a chuckle arose from one of the Protector Bots, as the both of them again attempted to lock down the two fleeing heroes, respectively.

And full blown laughter was heard from each of the three Battle Drones, who all fired a flurry of plasma beams from their firing arms.

All in all, the two weren't out of the woods yet.

    -----

Jake, himself, was fairly worn out. However, this didn't keep him from helping with the rest of the effort. The Sky Raiders were still at the base, and... Wait, what?

It seemed, by the large pile of rubble and the corpse, that the leader of the Sky Raider assault was dead, and that the rest of the party had disbanded, that is, turned tail. Tamesis was left hovering in the air via small jet boots, winded and panting.

"Jesus, the guy put up a fight, that's for sure." Tamesis remarked, his eyes settling on Scirrocco, forcing him to give at least a small salute before he touched down on what would have been a second story storage room.

"Scirrocco, what's the occassion?" He remarked almost jokingly, following the heroes with his eyes, ready to teleport in front of them should Jake's 'bots need the assistance.
  19. ((Does speed really affect a teleport?

Not trying to nit-pick, I just didn't think it did.))
  20. ((Especially considering most of us have school and/or jobs. >.>

Also, gonna wait on Anthius before posting.))
  21. In addition to a few Arachnos Soldiers being brought up by the elevator, the Arbiter that had been brought here was brought up as well. Taking a quick, unbiased look around the room, (Or rather, what he could see of it), he ordered that lights be brought up at once.

Should this place prove to be non-hostile, than with a bit of tweaking, it should make an excellent temporary base of operations.
  22. Well, it's a T rated game, so I'd assume the same rule applies to the public boards.

Of course, interpretation of such is sketchy. I would think that it'd still be OK to include that stuff, just don't go into nitty-gritty detail.

*Waits for one of the more experienced RPers to come in here and pick apart my post.* >.>
  23. ((Well, from what I've gathered, Cry only really listens to 'Daddy', so, despite the Arbiters technically having the same authority, Cry wouldn't pay them a second thought.

Also, Acanous, you seemed to ignore the intense beam carrying the heat of the sun heading for you. >.&gt)

    Beep... Beep... Download Complete.

Each of the six robots' visual sensors lit up with a red glow, looking around the area with movement that would almost suggest that they were one.

"Statement:" W0-07 began, "File: Pop Culture: I'm tired of these mother [censored]-ing heroes in my mother [censored]-ing base!"

It looked at the Anthius's sudden dive toward its master, and relayed the image to each of the others. They discussed a strategy and decided to teleport him down to them and fire at his hamstrings, using precision aim to completely incapacitate him.

This process took all of one fiftieth of a second.

They proceded with the plan, paying no mind to Scirocco's offensive toward the hero.

Anthius would find himself unexpectedly on the ground, with his legs about to be rendered useless in a little under half a second.

    -----

Tamesis and Jake both did not let the Arachnos Drones' presence go unnoticed. However, Tamesis, who only did well at battle tactics, decided to let Jake have the reins.

Besides, he was having fun with the Sky Raider Captain. He teleported on top of the vehicle yet again, making sure to bypass the forcefield that he knew was coming...

    -----

Jake smirked as he saw the Arachnos Drones make their way onto the battle field.

Excellent. I wasn't able to summon them in the midst of battle, but it seems Lord Scirrocco has done it for me.

He certainly made use of them. Noticing that his own 'bots were taking care of Anthius, the newest threat, he had one of the drones continue to fire on the Sky Raiders, but had the other focus on Acanous.

If Acanous didn't die right now from the sheer amount of force coming at him all at once, his particles being scattered into the surrounding air might just do the job.

The Drone fired with the precision only a machine could achieve.
  24. Jake's eye almost twitched in a very anime fashion when Acanous simply dropped down, avoiding his blast.

    "Simple fix."

He simply rose his other hand, and again fired at the back of Acanous's head.

    -----

In addition, the mass number of Arachnos soldiers had managed to fend off the majority of the Sky Raiders, with much help from Arbiter Tamesis, which, obviously, lead to more and more of them taking interest in the invading hero. No less than thirty Arachnos soldiers seemed to be firing at him all at once, and with that many, there bound to be at least some that hit their mark.

    Arachnos Outpost: Steel Canyon
    Some Random Room

"So we're agreed, then." The leader of the tribunal shouted across the room, deliberately interrupting any conversations that had been taking place. "Due to Lieutenant Cry's rashness, he will be 'Relocated'," He quite literally said this with air quotes, "To the European front. Hopefully, Lord Recluse's presence there will be enough to put him in line. All in favor?"

Again, a resounding 'Aye!' echoed throughout the chamber.

    "Very well then."

"But sir," One voice spoke out, his face undetectable in the crowd. "Cry will no doubt be infuriated at the concept of being relocated. He'll put up a fight. Won't we need to enlist the help of at least one of the other members of the inner-circle?"

"True, although I believe the help of the inner-circle would be a bit much."

He scratched his chin and stared into space for a moment, only a second later snapping his fingers as if in realization.

"No, this will be easy. His loyalty to Lord Recluse is second to none. We will simply say it is an order from above."
