((Uh, Jake was standing right outside her door, Plague. >.>
)
-
Gunner shrugged and followed the duo out of the room. "Talk is cheap."
-----
If anyone had been paying attention, they would have noticed that another face was missing from the luau, that of Jake Walsh. He had followed Shioh from the party to her room, and was now waiting patiently outside, leaning on a wall adjacent to the door.
I'm getting to the bottom of this before anything else. The presence of another Arachnos operative just doesn't sit well with me.
Of course, as soon as he said this, he glanced at his watch and gave an exagerated sigh.
"Dammit, why do women have to take so long to get ready?"
But nonetheless, he stood resolute. And, when she finally did step out, ((I'm assuming. If she decides to take a window or something, I'll rewrite it.)) he immediately stepped in front of her.
"Why are you here?" He asked, his voice as cold as it would be in an interrogation, his gaze as uninviting as a troll under a bridge. "And more importantly, did Arachnos send you?" -
The man looked up at her, blinking, as if suddenly coming out of a thought. "Oh. I'd say call me by my monikor, but, since we're on vacation, anyway, go ahead and refer to me as Gunner."
-
((Gah! This is gonna be one of those RPs I have to check every thirty minutes, isn't it? :P))
Jake had remained relatively passive during the fight, attempting to look as inconspicuous as possible whilst the rest of the group tangled up in a brawl. However, he never took his eyes off of the girl, who, despite claiming to work for Arachnos and having a very good chance of being deployed here for the very same reason he was, was almost hilariously ignorant of the world around. His mind boggled. Just why was she here?
As the group followed the steward or activity director or whatever he was, Jake hadn't paid much attention, he made special attention to follow Shioh. She was most certainly an object of interest right now, and his personal interests temporarily overshadowed his objectives. And as they walked, Jake patiently waited for an oppurtunity to catch her alone.
-----
The man sighed as the fight seemed to peter out, his arms dropping to his sides and the guns disintegrating into nothing in about a second. "Dammit." He simply said, walking into the room. When intrduced, he only ignored David, choosing instead to enter the room, and when offered a drink, he only waved the woman off. Half sulking and half waiting for an oppurtunity to bust out a katana, he leaned on the wall adjacent to the door, watching the two of them.
A fight's no fun unless both parties are interested... -
"Haha, I knew there was some action down here!" A voice shouted just as the woman discharged her illusions. If either of the two had cared to look, they would now find the same man in a white T-Shirt and khaki shorts holding two hand-guns up in the air, one at each of their heads. (Or, at least, what he perceived as their heads. Illusions are tricky that way.)
"Relaxation's nice, but nothing can beat the thrill of a fight. So, who's first?" He said, a smile playing on his lips.

A teenaged boy sat on the railings, his legs dangling above the level right below him, obviously trying to not care about anything in the world. He stared at the sky, at the clouds, specifically, and pondered for a moment how lucky they were to be free from any shackles of servitude or slavery, how they weren't bound to any force on earth except the wind. However, he was brought crashing back down to earth when he heard seven little words uttered.

I work for Arachnos. I kill people!

His eyes shot open, and he immediately look downward to determine the owner of the voice. A million different thoughts were now buzzing through his mind.
Arachnos?! Why's another Arachnos Operative here? More importantly, why wasn't I told about it? Are they setting me up? Are they setting her up? What the Hell is going on here?
Taking a deep breath, he continued to look downward, and determined that, out of the group of the jittery young man, the aged oriental, the strange man in a suit, and the girl in a bathing suit, it had to be the latter. He jumped down, landing several feet behind the group.
"Arachnos, huh? What business do they have here?"
Intelligence told me about some suspicious activity that they suspected to be going on the boat, but never another Operative. Is it chance? We'll find out, I guess.
Again, anyone who cared to look in the direction of the boy would find a teenager of about seventeen years, however, his eyes revealing that he'd seen much more than even one of seventy years should see. He wore a simple white T-shirt and, as if in defiance of the concept of 'fun in the sun', a dark blue pair of jeans complete with sneakers, which seemed to completely contrast his odd hair color, a pure white. He held goggles in his hand, and it seemed his jean pocket was bulging with several disk shaped items.
"Because, call me crazy, but I don't think Arachnos soldiers get time off." -

((Meowth! That's right!))
Edit: A lone man, decked in the standard white T-shirt, khaki shorts and sandals, leaned against the railing of the ship, looking down at the ocean as the ship caused salt water to cascade in a brilliant combination of blue and white.
He was a slender man, standing at about 5'10". His long dark hair reached the back of his neck, a pair of sunglasses parting his bangs in the front. He was of obviouis caucasian descent, his skin only slightly tanned due to his time under the sun.
His mind was fairly blank for the time being. After all, it was vacation. Who needed to think? All he cared about at his moment was the pattern formed by the ripples on the surface of the sea. However, that was certainly going to change in the next few moments. Right as he finished watching a dolphin in the distance jump into the air, at almost the exact same moment the old man began to cry murder, his ears perked. He could feel it. He'd been around death for long enough to know the feeling of passing life, and the sudden coldness it brought to those around. It was a feeling he was all too familiar with.
He smiled, leaned off of the rail, stretched his arms, and leisurely strolled through a door leading to the interior of the ship.
-
Haha, awesome. Can't wait to see his adventures in Arachnos. Mayhaps a cameo appearance by your favorite roleplayer? Huh? Maybe?

The Arbiter was now in no condition to be fighting, no only his life force having been drained, but also with several faults in his armor plating. As Silver Menicus lunged at him, he slowly attempted to move out of the way, however, failed, and ended up only deferring her blow to his abdomen, whose armor plating also fractured, fell apart, and exposed a weak point on his ventral side. For the next fifteen or so seconds, the Arbiter could be equated to a turtle on his back.
-----
Jake, in plenty of difficulty, despite his, albeit weakening, constrictments, managed to grasp the break free, and eagerly ingested it moments before Silver Meniscus's Soul Transfer went off. He smirked in triumph, momentarily shouting a thanks to the man who had handed him the life-saving drug before reactivating his Repulsion Bubble, causing the three Knives that would have otherwise cut Jake to shreds flying several dozens of feet back into a (what appeared to be steel. One can never be sure on Rikti Earth.) plated wall.
Hopefully, anyway. One never knew exactly what these girls had up their sleeves.
-----
Jake's minions, not affected by the Soul Transfer as biological lifeforms were, were not too concerned about its effects, and, on an order from Jake, who had recently come to the conclusion that to multi-task at this point would be death, began to download a very special experimental software in the sudden decrease in fire. Oh, sure, the half-dozen still fought back, but it was solely defense during this period.
Right as the blast reached its apex, the download completed with just enough time to barely register the sensation of siphoning power. This only, however, took power from them. Power in biological creatures and power in mechanical creatures are two very different things. In humans, for example, the loss of power is like a declining slope, until one finally has the need to sleep, eat, or whatever it is one does to sustain oneself.
Machines, however, are more like a cliff. Performance is always at its peak until there's just no more power left to supply, after which they shut down. Jake's bots were no exception to this rule, and they kept on doing what they did best even after the transfer of energy, with only a slightly more rapidly decreasing battery bar to show for it.
However, this didn't account for the sheer stunning force of the drain. All robots were temporarily frozen in place, their sensory devices being overwhelmed by some dark force. If the Knives were going to act, they had better act now. -
Blasts of energy were fired at the Shivan Decimator, most likely to no avail. Most were simply getting out of its way before it irradiated them, nearly killing them instantly with mutation and cancer.
Suddenly, one had a though, and, as he relayed his thought to his comrades, dozens of grenades, incindiary, biological, and good ol' shrapnel based alike, all flew toward the being at once, lodging themselves in his gelatinous interior. Seconds remained before they exploded. -
I normally find this site to be very useful in naming my characters, and, as for the last name, I normally just translate something into a foreign language and pick what sounds good.
-
Shrapnel attempted to pierce her armor and head, neither to any avail, mind you, as the Claymore exploded, giving Julia the fright of her life as she was suddenly thrown off balance, which, generally, while flying through the air at twenty-something miles per hour, is a bad thing. She barely managed to regain her composure, however, wasn't fast enough to avoid barelling straight into War. He would soon find an impervium armored young girl suddenly flying into him at roughly twenty miles an hour, a speed not to be laughed at when dealing with an object of such weight.

((how is target lad speaking to Kirae? what is he using))
[/ QUOTE ]
((Handy-dandy head-set, I'd guess. Standard RP device used by a lot of people to explain the different channels when in-game.))
Edit: Julia quickly recovered, shaking her head as if to forcibly evict any ill-effects from her conscience, when, as soon as she stepped out of the med-bay, the same man who had been pointed out as the operator behind this entire mess sped by, Protector Bot in tow. She stood for about a second and a half before the image registered, in her head a loud "Hey!" resounding throughout teh corridors as her rocket-boots activated and she sped after him, charging her gauntlets threateningly.
((I believe that, by the way the architecture's been described, this is accurate. If not, please tell me and I'll correct it.)) -
Julia, already in excrutiating pain from the psionic assault, suffered even worse with the addition of the spores, breathing them in without even realizing what they were, nor even realizing that there was an abnormality in the air in the first place. Her eyes shot open immediately upon feeling the effects of the spores, and the beginnings of a scream were heard before a flash of light was seen, her biological signs becoming uncomfortably low for her suit to sit by and watch. It teleported her to the nearest medical facility, convienently located right inside of Portal Corporation.
She fell to her knees, the mental shock of receiving such a blow still haunting her mind. -
Julia stopped her rain of plasma long enough to grab her head with a piercing pain, the psychic shockwave that had just resonated throughout the surrounding room affecting her with full force due to her lack of psychic defense. She then crashed to the ground, shoulder first, which, considering she couldn't concentrate on maintaining her aerial balance, just makes sense.
She gritted her teeth, shutting her eyes tightly as the migraine continued to pain her. -

((And the other two are 'Super' and 'Stars'.
You may applaud me now for my wittiness.)) -
Just as Julia raised her glowing fist to strike the silhouetted man, a Battle Drone jumped into the way, blocking her strike with his own hammer-like hand.
"Don't have time for this..." She muttered, hopping back and vaulting over the minion before again sailing through the air, this time staying toward the ceiling and choosing to fire plasma beams at him from afar.
"Seriously, the best field trip of the year!" She screamed, putting particular emphasis on best and all words after it. -
((Ah. Was wondering about the architectual difficulties of that, but wasn't about to argue.
))
-
"No." She simply stated, taking a running start before boosting off the ground and into the air, flying toward the fleeing figure. Her two hands raised and fired identical beams of plasma, each making their way at an incredible speed toward the man.
-
About two minutes later, Julia finally made it around the building, in her frustration not even bothering to check inside first.
"Alright, I still wanna know who the Hell organized this whole thing!"
The only question was who or if anyone heard her.
((I'm leaving this open. As I understand it, there are several characters in a random hallway, so anyone's welcome to pick her up.)) -
((Huh, guess the forum didn't like my last reply.
Post deleted out of my own stupidity, and original post involving said Bane Spider has been edited accordingly.)) -

Unfortunately for Malta, as soon as said Bane Spider even made a threatening gesture in the direction of the med-porter, he was bombarded with a hail of plasma fire, quickly melting his armor and himself to slag before the robots continued to fend off the opposing force.

((Whoops stealth doesnt work that way and neither do secret plans.))

((I'm fairly certain Jake has both himself and his robots equipped with enough tactical vision to see through his own troops. Not to mention, he placed the med-porters as top priority, so any hostile action taken in their direction would be considered a no-no and pretty much end up as a bad thing for the offender.))
