Ah, in that case, I know of a couple on Infinity. Saint Joseph's School and Bloodvine Academy (Hero and Villain side respectively) are the most well known ones on Infinity. They have a super-high school theme going on, but other than that there aren't many restrictions. Linky to their site.
You could also try the Legionnaires, although, I'm the leader of that group, so that's more of a shameless bump than anything else. -
"Wait, so you're not Arachnos?" Jake said, feeling tempted to wipe some illusionary sweat off of his brow. He sighed in relief, putting his hands in his pockets. That could've gone horribly wrong. Thank God that this guy seems to be with us... Question is, why? And for that matter, why's he even here?
"Nevermind, that's obvious..." Jake said, physically shaking his head free from his previous question. "So, Acid, huh? You one of those villains bent on taking down Arachnos?" -
"Yeah, yeah..." Jake shouted, turning on his rocket boots and rocketing forward in the direction of Apex. His bots performed similar measures, albeit, with fewer rocket propelled feet and more running to catch up.
-
Jake followed suit, still encased in his omni-potent Personal Forcefield, confident that not much, if anything, could get through. Looking at the Bane Spider, and then hearing Penny's retort, Jake did the obvious thing that anyone else in that situation would have.
He face-palmed.
"Ya know, we could've gotten away..." He said in a clearly irritated voice, making sure that no one but Penny could hear. "Unless, of course, this is part of some sort of plan I'm not aware of..." This was said with some trace of hope.
Otherwise, the Bane Spider would immediately alert those near him, and in turn, those near him would alerlt the whole of Grandville. Soon enough, it'd be a battle against Arachnos in the Headquarters of said-Arachnos. Jake could try to use some of his influence, which, albeit, was really only with Black Scorpion, who was impressed with his gadgetry, but very few people who hack a com-tower generally get off scot-free. -
With fewer Mayhem troops around, Jake was becoming less and less serious by the second, and even felt confident enough to try and have a little fun.
Waiting for a Mayhem guard to come charging at him, Jake ducked at the last possible moment, aimed up, and shot a force bolt at him. This sent the poor sap flying into the air, which would then give the bots free reign to fire at him, filling him with very many holes and quite and unpleasant feeling regarding his vitals.
Chuckling, Jake said "Fish in a bucket." and resumed his normal method of battle. -
"That's certainly not good..." Jake commented, getting serious for once and taking the situation with much more mental thought than he would have otherwise. Lathankia's down. There's a stalker type super in the room right now, and a good one at that. He didn't even show up on my sensors...
Now, as odd as this may seem for the situation at hand, Jake took down his Personal Forcefield. This, of course, invited several Mayhem Troopers to attempt to bash in his skull, but they were soon disuaded by a forcebolt to the gut and a couple dozen lasers to the head. Brushing some imaginary dust off of his trenchcoat, he began to focus on some of the higher ups in the room, having his bots fire a couple of shots in their direction so as to garner their attention. Jake figured that if he could convince them that the bots were the main threat, then he could keep casualities to a minimum, but was quickly being contradicted by the new comers who had just entered.
After the display of the quite possibly insane scrapper and the firey antics of the firey demon Baliaal and his henchmen, he was quickly undermined, being labeled as one of the lesser threats.
Oooookaaay... He though, slightly annoyed that his plan, albeit, unspoken, was completely ignored. I suppose that works too... Same result I guess... Jake sighed and went back to letting his bots have at it with the soldiers, the Assault Bot seeming to almost take joy literally bashing in the head of one of the soldiers, helmet and all. -
Indeed, I didn't even know this thread existed.
Anyway, Jake's description soon to come.
Edit:
Name: Jake Walsh
Alias: Corrupted Youth (This was a name given to him by the oh-so-unimaginative media. He doesn't like it, particularly, and will ask those that call him as such to not.)
Age: Fifteen
Threads: The Necronomicon, A Force Into the Isles, The Future is Mayhem
Appearance: Normally wears a black trenchcoat with a white T-shirt underneath. Wears deep blue baggy pants and black boots. His hair is white and semi-long, his bangs reaching just past the eyebrow and halfway covering his ears. He also is almost never found without his blast goggles, which gives him information on his vitals, as well as providing him with several other features. They are always either on his forehead of covering his eyes, depending on whether or not he has a task.
Jake was once, and last time I checked, still is, the son of a recently famous professor, known to give new and veteran heroes alike devices to aid them in their eternal fight. In fact, the day before his escape, he went with his father on a trip to Freedom Corps HQ, where his father was hired to develope advanced technology for Longbow's use. But I digress, attention like this certainly never always good, and this case is by no means an exception. Professor Walsh had garnered the attention of many villain groups, most notably Crey and Arachnos. Both factions wished to use him to pursue their own devilish experimentations, however, Arachnos decided to act first, unleashing a psionic assault on the residence of the Professor, thereby having him seemingly come to the Isles of his own free will. The plan, unfortunately, failed. The Professor never made it to the Isles in the 48 hour time span that was expected of him, and most certainly didn't come after that. Frustrated, the Arachnos higher-ups planned to 'reassign' the Arbiter in charge of the program and put someone else more capable as the head.
The third day after the failed assault, only hours before the Arbiter was officially taken off the program, Kalinda reported a new arrival in Mercy, having come via ferry to the Hell-hole of an island, to a certain Fortunata who was to be put in charge of the program. When asked what relevance this had, Kalinda simply replied, "He says his last name is Walsh." The Fortunata's ears visibly perked at this, and demanded that he be escorted to Grandville immediately, to be presented to Recluse himself. One hour later, arriving at Recluse's tower via Arachnos Flier and being escorted by many, many, Wolf-Spider Huntsman, he was presented to Senoir Spider himself. Bowing before the might of the man who was programmed to be a God in his mind, he presented him with several gadgets, two of which truly stood out. A portable forcefield generator (Which Jake had modified to fit in his fingerless gloves) and several different models of combat robots, originally being developed by his father for use by Longbow in mid-combat. Recluse seemed pleased enough by these findings, and ordered Black Scorpion and his technicians to begin mass-producing them for Arachnos soldiers of all ranks. Satisfied with Jake's work, Recluse ordered his back to Mercy, so that he may prove further worth among the organization of Arachnos.
For the past two months, Jake has been serving Arachons without fail, killing who he was ordered to kill and siding with the spiders on all occassions(sp?). Jake is still himself however, and will often attempt to skip out on his duties if the oppurtunity arises. He often approaches with a very laid back and nonchalant attitude, partially due to a bit of cockiness, however, when the situation arises when he realizes that he truly is out-matched, he changes clothes, so to speak, and becomes serious, taking in the scene with much detail and speculating on an ideal battle strategy.
As of late, Jake's mind has been slowly reversing the effects of the psionic alteration, leaving his loyalties to himself above all others. This is only just beginning, as he would still kill someone who so much as lifts a finger in his direction without losing a wink of sleep, but he is certainly moving in the right direction. (This is most noted in 'A Force Into the Isles' thread, where Jake is attempting to go back to Paragon and hopefully redeem himself among the general population.)
DESCRIPTION OF POWERS AND ABILITIES:
FORCE FIELD: Jake's force field gadetry resides within his fingerless gloves, making it fairly simply to activate on the fly. It essentially has three basic functions. Repulsion, in which it is designed to throw someone back wildly. Shielding, in which it is designed to deflect (and/or redirect) incoming projectiles. And Detention, in which the forcefield encases someone or something inside, allowing nothing to hit it and vice-versa. Jake's shielding works in certain degrees of power, from a barely noticeable shield that will knocking something off of its mark by a miniscule amount or all the way up to a Personal Forcefield, being similar to the Detention Field, however, allowing its occupant to move about. Each of these refracts the path of the incoming object in an increasingly extreme fashion until it is finally outright deflected by the shield. They are currently being improved and adapted by Arachnos, who, upon its completion, will issue it to all foot soldiers.
ROBOT HENCHMEN: These little buggers come in three basic designs, the first of which being designed to function as a unit in groups of three, coordinating attacks on a single target and basically covering for other, larger, more effective units. They are highly ineffective when compared to the other two models, and mainly serve as fodder whilst more advanced units do the majority of the damage.
The second type of model is appropriately called the Protector Bot, designed with roughly the same amount of fire power as the Battle Drones, but with the added bonus of the ability to give medium shielding to fellow bots and allies, giving them a very defensive role.
The final model is also appropriately called the Assault Bot, known as such for its sheer size, defense, and fire power. Its size alone is normally enough to intimidate normal foes, and at least give a moment of hesitation to other supers. It's not an empty threat either, as the Assault Bot has a different type of laser from it's other two counterparts. The laser it totes deals major burn damage, most times enough to melt armor. This is complimented by Jake's modification of a flamethrower, which it will occassionally use on opponents, if the mood strikes.
Despite Arachnos's attempts to keep the design secret, it appears to have leaked all across the Isles, as many would-be villains and true villains alike have been seen toting the metallic monstrosities across the Isles, striking fear into the hearts of passers-by.
Jake is currently working on several modifications to his bots, although all are in the prototype phase and not ready for field testing.
BLAST GOGGLES: Jake blast goggles are just and all-around good device to have. Not only giving Jake a good idea of his personal vitals, it gives him a detailed description of his robots' conditions, and even warns him when and if his shields will go down. The goggles also have the ability to scan one's face and access their file from an Arachnos data-base, immediately giving Jake all the knowledge that Arachnos has on the particular hero, or villain even. Note that this requires both that the person's face being exposed and Arachnos having information on it. If either of these requirements is failed, the scan will as well, resulting in a rather annoying ' FILE NOT FOUND'* to show up in Jake's view. Jake is also currently working on modifications to his goggles, again, which are in the prototype stage and ,also again, not ready for field testing.
*INSPIRATIONS FULL ftw.
Edit again: Huh... just realized that he's an evil Shikamaru... Ah well. *shrug* -
Jake chuckled. "Can't say I didn't see this coming..." His bots immediately retaliated to the assault, unleashing a barrage of lasers and such on some poor sap who happened to be swining in Jake's direction. The blast blew him back some, momentarily leaving him flat on his back.
Taking a few moments to survey the battle, Jake determined that there were roughly ten Mayhem soldiers present. He smirked. The head of this base had obviously underestimated them grossly. Ten of these guys wasn't going to be a problem at all... -
"Well..." Jake muttered, "Looks like I'm not needed after all..." He let his bots fire a few stray lasers into the room, hopefully getting rid of any hesitation the Huntsmen had in firing their weapons, and in turn, allowing the lower ranked soldiers to retaliate accordingly. Chuckling at the ensuing chaos, Jake patiently awaited the order to move on through.
This wasn't too hard... I don't know how we would have faired in a straight up fight, but mind over matter, I suppose. -
(Gah, sorry, my bad. Let's just pretend he had been a bit more discreet. >.>

[ QUOTE ]
After his short speech, Soul Striker reverted back to his confident/laid back nature and started to nudge Jake and then Steve saying, "Pretty clever eh? Eh?"
[/ QUOTE ]
"Erm, I guess..." Jake said, trying to get him to stop nudging him. "Just... stop touching me please..."
After finally getting Soul Striker to finally stop poking him, Jake said, "Anyway, sounds good." And threw up a Peronal Forcefield around himself for precaution's sake. "Just tell me when to let the lasers fly. -
"I could send these guys in as a distraction." Jake said, hiking a thumb toward his bots. "They'll give us an element of surprise, along with taking down a few of them on their own, I'm willing to bet." Jake said with a nonchalant air, hands in his pockets and eyes lazily scanning the room.
-
"Alrighty then." Jake said, immediately turning off the detention field and looking back to the battle at hand. "I swear though, if you try anything..." Jake let the statement hang, letting him fill in the blanks as he continued on with his fight.
-
Jake hurriedly followed, still not quite having caught up to Penny Arcade, when she suddenly stopped right in her place, warning of at least a gigawatt of power. Jake flipped on his PFF, not sacrificing any of his momentum, and continued following Penny Aracade to the transistor. Taking mild interest in the process of contacting Paragon, he leaned against a wall until the signal went through, making the apparent 'Oh God!' 'A villain!' 'Trace the call!' responses a reality. Nonchalantly walking over with his hands in his pockets, he let himself be seen by the transmitter, giving a slight wave to the Commander. "Ah, Commander McMillan, how're you? Been a while, aye? So how's my dad?"
Jake's father, ever since assisting his first hero with his gadgetry, had become ever-intwined with Longbow, constantly being asked to upgrade and create new equipment for them. One one particular visit, Jake decided to come, and had met the Commander himself; however, hastily deciding he didnt' like his strict attitude. -
"Alright, remind me to ignore the potentially bad guy next time you're in danger, kay?" He shouted the Soul Striker, keeping the newcomer in his little detention field and focusing his attention on the troops, diverting his robots' fire if a hostile happened to site him, specifically.
After hearing Cortianna's response, or rather, receiving it, he cursed slightly under his breath. In addition to the uneasiness that one gets knowing that their thoughts are not their own, he had a personal sore spot to any type of psychic manuever, most probably due to the fact that Arachnos had altered his mind to suit their purposes. Physically shaking the memory from his head, he focused on the fight at hand, deciding that if Soul wanted to speak with the Bonehead, he should let him. -
Jake jerked his head around to get a better sight of the newcomer, immediately throwing him in a detention field. "Who are you, exactly?" It was more out of reflex than anything else, but upon an inspection of the man's appearance, Jake found himself not regretting it.
-
Jake looked at her quizically for a few moments and was on the verge of asking her what she meant when she was saved by the bell, so to speak. Taking the time to glance over Power Breaker, he determined that he was some type of bio-mechanical being, but that was about all he could figure. Deciding not to delve further, he began to turn his attention back to the slot machine, only to hear Penny abruptly introduce them to each other and take off, not seeming to wait for either of them. "... But... we just..." Jake sighed and followed, placing his trust in the fact that Penny knew what she was doing.
-
"Perfect..." Jake muttered, pulling six, very small, devices out of his trenchcoat and throwing them on the ground, almost immediately teleporting six robots into the room. He ordered them to attack the front-most soldiers, hoping to clear a way deeper into the base so a quick escape could be possible. As for himself, Jake threw up forcefields around his minions, neglecting to do the same to his allies, as it would most likely alter their aim. His bots; however, made adjustments, and could fire just as easily as if the shields weren't even there. The results was a robot, seemingly aiming at a random spot on the wall, but the laser bending and hitting the soldier. Jake grinned. It would be a while before they figured out how to counter this.
-
"Well, he's oddly enthusiastic..." Jake muttered, walking forward nonchalantly with his hands in his pockets. Giving a slight wave to Sybil, he stepped into the light to find himself in Perez Park, supposedly the bane for the newer heroes. Jake would've assumed that the Sewers would've taken that title, but it seemed as if the heroes loved those. Jake shrugged; capes? You can't figure them.
He glanced around at everyone around him, registering for the first time that Cortianna was... well... Cortianna, a psychic looking to get out of Arachnos and who Arachnos really didn't like having around. Jake chuckled and tapped on her shoulder, asking her to please refrain from reading his thoughts, and explaining that it was a bit of a sore spot for him. Otherwise not interactinv with his allies, he began to distance himself away from the group a bit, if only by a few feet or so. -
Jake slowly and painfully woke up from a shallow sleep that he had fallen into during his cloud watching. The source? A rather loud 'BEEP!' whose origin seemed to be his left pocket. Reaching in with some annoyance, he grabbed his phone and pulled it out, listening to the voice mail that Penny had left.
'Jake! Meet me at the Giza! Er... As a guest, we're not going to assault the place.'
Jake looked intrigued, not so much at the message, but the sender. I don't remember telling her my number...
He chuckled. "Smart girl." Slowly he got up, streching and yawning. He didn't seem to be worried about time in the least. Finally, when he seemed satisfied with his muscles' and tendons' condition, he flipped on his rocket boots and began to speed his way toward St. Martial.
After about ten minutes of flight, and one ferry ride later, he had arrived, hands behind his head and his eyes lazily skimming over everyone in the crowd, looking for the villainess he had a rendezvous(sp?) with. Finally finding Penny over by a certain slot machine, he walked on other, with the same non-urgency we had seen earlier. "Now, before we start anything, how'd you get my number?" He joked, chucklling and taking a closer inspection of the slot machine. -
Jake scratched the bridge of his nose during Sybil's speech, only half listening and half caring; however, he didn't need to listen to know the jist of what was being said. 'We're your best shot against the Masters, so join us! We need you to win!' Your standard motivational jabber. He frankly didn't care about the resistance, he just wanted to be done with the assignment and go home, but this required siding with the best bet to beat the Masters. Namely, the resistance.
"Yeah, yeah, just count me in. My name's Jake, and I'll be helping you kick the Masters of Mayhems' faces in." He said confidently, smirking and folding his arms across his chest. -
"Slots?" He uttered after Penny left him on the rocky outcropping. Magnesium grenades?
Jake usually carried all of his belongnigs with him, especially seeing as he didn't bring all that much with him to the Isles in the first place. Just to make sure that he had what he needed; however, he checked the confines of his trenchcoat.
...Hey, a flash grenade. Forgot I had those... Anyway, and three Scout drones. Check. "Everything seems to be in order..." He mumbled, brushing some hair away from his eyes. "Nothing to do except wait, I suppose..." Laying back down on the hard, flat surface, he began to gaze up at the sky, wondering of Paragon would accept a villain seeking redemption. -
Don't we multiply by seven for cat/dog years?
-

Does that mean you're three years older?
