Right, I like I7 in general, very nice update, and the mayhem missions are a hoot. Except with my stalker. I try to play it stealthy, but those flippin longbow can see right through hide, never give up chasing you and the same applies to the final boss. So how am i supposed to a) sneak or b) assassin strike? I have attempted 2 of these bank heists so far, one i died after 8 or so longbow finally caught up with me in the bank and cornered me and in the second tried to outrun the boss, but she followed me to the exit. When i popped back into the map whilst hidden she was right next to me, saw me and kicked my bum. Plus i've found that i can be attacking nothing (no parking meters etc) and i still get time bonuses for destroying stuff i haven't touched, whats up with that?
Any help/tips for a solo stalker would be appreciated,
Ta. -
I have an AR/Dark Corrupter called Midnight Gunner and i chose dark as a secondary cause the biggest problem you have, as I see it, with AR is also its biggest benefit - AoEs. So you deal out a a lot of pain, but that results in a shed load of return fire. So I figured dark debuffs=less painful return fire. Darkest Night being the linchpin debuffing their chances to hit and reducing damage if they do. Tar patch boosts your damage nicely as well as keeping them slowed at a distance. Fearsome stare will lock down groups, either adding to the debuffs (if shooting at them whilst its active), locking them down if full auto/flamethrower/etc. didn't quite wipe a group out or just to lock down enemies whose return fire is just too risky to take (i.e. mezzers) and take them out one by one with beanbag and single target attacks. Oh, and you get a debuffing pet as well

Well, Burkholder's Bane was not enough to get Moondog to lvl 30...but...I did manage to get my scrapper Demon Dog to 30 so he will be taking Moondog's place on the TF in the morning and possibilly the afternoon too.
-
Ok Henke, our tank, couldn't make it so we are down to 7 team members:
* Moondog (warshade)
* Jumanjionic (sonic/energy blaster)
* Iced Betty (ice/storm troller)
* reborn phoenix (peacebringer)
* IX (controller)
* Gemstone (fire/empathy controller)
* Feedback (FF defender)
...so there is room for one more hero.
-
The team is:
<ul type="square"> [*]Moondog (warshade)[*]Henke (stone/axe tank) - has expressed an interest in game.[*]Jumanjionic (sonic/energy blaster)[*]Iced Betty (ice/storm troller)[*]reborn phoenix (peacebringer)[*]IX (controller)[*]Gemstone (fire/empathy controller)[*][censored] Feedback (FF defender)[/list]...and that's a full team, see you on Saturday.

I would certainly like to take part, if I can get one of my characters to level 30
. I will either be playing with Dr Freezeflame (ice/nrg blaster) or Moondog (Warshade). I prefer Moondog but this all depends on how well the Ernesto Hess Taskforce I am organising goes this Saturday afternoon (shameless plug). Check it out here
.

As a prelude to MBars Manticore Taskforce shenanigans on Sunday I would like to cordially invite you to the Ernesto Hess Taskforce
. I will be starting it at 2pm this Saturday (11th March). The taskforce is for lvls 25-30 and requires a minimum team size of six. Sign up below or turn up on the day. I will be playing with my Warshade Moondog.
Find out more here or here .
Ernesto is not very easy to find (he's not shown on the map and no other obvious points of reference nearby) so we will meet at the Ferry in Striga and go from there. -
I would certainly be interested in taking part with my blaster Brother Fenris. No invis or tp i'm afraid
.

Ooo Ooo one more thought.
Most of the Chapters have at least one group of non-standard troop types, such as the Blood Angel "Death Company" and the Space Wolf "Grey Hunters". Maybe we could have a limited number of "themed" special troops. I personally vote for "pyrokinetics" (fire starters), basically permitting a character with both fire primaries and secondaries (blaster, tank & controller). I feel the napalm element would nicely compliment the AR madness. But again, numbers would have to be seriously limited to prevent diluting the main theme of the group. -
[ QUOTE ]
I believe that Scouts should have Concealment as their first pool, as their training is specifically for guerilla tactics (which changes once they earn their power armour).
[/ QUOTE ]
If a scout is AR/Dev (which I personally think fits the concept better - they have no power armour, so En secondary not appropriate, and they are into guerilla warfare which Dev seems perfect for), they should have cloaking device in their secondary so would not need to take concealment. -
Right here's my tuppence (note my own opinion, ymmv):
Techmarines: I think these are viable, and I was thinking that they would be good as bubblers or sonic defenders, as this seems the easiest set to align with a technological solution as they are a much more crisp defined visual effect that I can see as technological (hence field generators and sonic council). I think they would have to be technology origin
Chaplains: I agree that they need to be more "buff" oriented as they are inspiring the troops. I think kinetics goes well with this concept ("demoralising" enemy troops whilst "inspiring" the boys). Tanks are also a good choice, but they would need the leadership pool I think. Maces again are good crozius', especially if/when they implement customisation of weapons.
Apothacaries: If only AR was available as a defender secondary! I think this may be either an empathy defender or a AR/En with at least 3 healing power pool powers.
Librarians: I think Controllers with mind, illusion (playing with enemy's perceptions) or gravity control (telekinetics) and defenders with the psychic attack set. Other than this *shrug*.
I also think the presence power may be good for chaplains/commanders for those yummy fear powers (scaring the bejesus out of the cowering enemy!).
What do you think? -
I'm running Frostfire tonight to level some of the newer SG brothers. I will need 3 mentors of level 12 ish and 4 level 7-9 SG members. The mission starts tonight at 5pm so give me a call then. The mission should be roughly lvl 12 ish.

Gratz Bleach, as a former Blues myself I can only say it couldn't have happened to a nicer guy
. Who is your new main mate?
-
Right, I have for your delectation a proposed build that will eventually qualify as a apothecary/chaplain (i hope).
I have gone AoE heavy, left out slug (burst has quicker recharge to finish off those who survived my AoEs) and slotted sprint (to allow supression free nippiness).
Let me know what you think:

This is really cool, any chance I can join? I've rolled an AR/En called Brother Fenris (Space Wolves influence
). Who do i talk to online for invitation? When is the next meet-up?
-
I would certainly be interested in taking part with my Warshade, Moondog. He's level 24 at the moment.
-
Actually, the question of whether a dark melee/dark armour tanker can tank effectively is an interesting one. If you think about it, dark armour has two PAoE powers to "lock down" mobs, (much like the damage/aggro auras all the tank sets have) which have the benefit of reducing enemy attacks (either through disorient or fear) and a single target fear effect to stack and lock down bosses. With their higher brawl index they do damage with Midnight Grasp that i'm sure is in the same ballpark as Knockout Blow, Total Focus, etc. that I think (don't have hero planner to hand!) also holds the target. Plus its armour (whilst not quite to fire tank levels) is still respectible, especially with Tough, and they have very strongs Psi protection to boot. They even have a limited taunt power (which is admittedly not that great in tank terms
). However, if they went to the Presence pool (again I don't have full details here) they could have a click fear AoE lockdown that would hold troublesome mobs who were attacking squishies whilst they went back to dealing with the main group.
They also have a very effective self heal and endurance recovery. And finally soul drain can be a very effective self buff.
Oh no....I can feel another concept build coming on!!! -
I will certainly be there for the 10am run with Moondog.
-
My warshade, moondog, would be very interested in doing this if that's ok.
-
I'd certainly be interested in joining in. I have a lvl 20 warshade (Moondog) so I have tp friend and I think I have a stealth (but not invisiibility) at lvl 14.
-
I'll definitely be along with Moondog, synapse on Sunday was a lot of fun
.
-
Awww poopy! My broadsword scrapper Demon Dog is only lvl 28. That TF sounded like fun.
*stomps off in a huff and decapitates a Bone Daddy* -
I would certainly be interested in taking part. I have a lvl 29 ice/nrg blaster. Is that too low a level? I can turn up and see if there is anyone to sk me? My blaster's name is Dr Freezeflame.
-
I would certainly be interested but I have several alts at different levels and it would be useful to know when you are planning to do these TFs?
-
If you still have room it would be great if my warshade could join in the fun
. He's level 16 at the mo but should get a bit higher by the weekend.
