I was reading thru this thread again and I have some other fond memories with regards to raids (old school ones, not the newfangled ones):

My rock

5 hami's at a time

Falling asleep at my desk while at a raid, having the raid leader (Firewire (Kyle)) on follow - which my toon did follow him around the ENTIRE raid - with her heal on auto....

Falling asleep at many raids (I swear I cannot do a LGTF, because when I get to the Hami part - I get extremely sleepy!).

Watching the chat in broadcast when people would grief other people (like the funniest thing ever said at a raid was when Hank went "Hey, stop griefing my 2nd acct on the rock!").

While it wasn't really amusing for the raid leaders, per se, I did think it was funny that people used to put their pets out, get questioned about it, go "no thats not my pet" and then wander away with their "not my pet" following them closely behind......

I love the MA, its been great fun and it is nice to see all the old faces popping up. I have found a lot of neat arcs that I like, haven't had as much chance to try as many as I'd like (darn work) but all in all, it is a more fun thing than I initially thought it would be. The people here are very creative!

On a sidenote, I would like the base bug addressed though, its really freaking out a lot of people.

Hmm what I remember....could fill a book....

Fondest Memories - Teach. I love Teach, he was such a wonderful guy and so sweet. It was also easy to make him swear. For instance, when you (with another kin hehe) would FS his ninja mob....and the fs icons would WRAP around the monitor screen and I would hear him on vent "MONKEY!".

HDS - For all the ups and the downs this was the best sg around. Wonderful players and wonderful people. Introduced me to Jazzy, Starlight, Tax, and Enigma - who led me to meet Sarah - one of the bestest players in this game and sweetest guys (yes he really is a dude!!). And would never have met Drac, if it wasn't for his ongoing feud with Retro (you know I still have somewhere you guys fighting in one of those coh filedemo thingys!).

Freaks - Never would have met them w/o HDS and that "epic" pvp battle. That was one of the best times I've ever had in pvp.

The LEGION. I met Helly through Teach and I am awfully glad I did, she's a hell of a player and a heck of a friend. And without Helly I never would have met Shad(ders!)

People that have affected my in game life (good or bad or neutral), but I am still glad to have met are way too numerous to name. If you are on my global list (or if you are on all FIVE of my global list), you have made my game life a better place and I thank you all for it. And for the ones who have made my real life better, extra hugs to you.

No, all of my toons are monkey theme names (a few are odd names but they mean monkey in other languages). And one Iced Honeybun blaster - I was going to go for a Tastykake theme but lost interest in it quickly!

My Ill/Rad used to have three phantasms with three decoys, partially overlapping perma-PA, and however many spectral terrors I felt like at the time concurrently.

I think a speedy fire controller could get 15 imps out at once at least for a while.

It was the perfect opportunity to fix several mistakes and oversights re: Defeat Badges, but now? Meh. No real interest in it. That's not to say I don't recognize and appreciate the fact that a LOT of work has went into it, but two steps forward, one back IMO.

Not getting into it again, but you still have to defeat <x> number for them. There's no difference between beating 1000 monkies on Monkey Island or defeating 1000 monkies in a MA map, you've still beaten 1000 monkies. The point of them is to show that you have beaten <x> number, the badge makes no distinction on how, when, why, or where you defeated them.

For me personally, I would rather they DO count towards defeat badges, would make life so much easier if I could say stick BP Masks and Ghosts in a mish Kill 2 "birds" with one stone. I do hope they rethink this part and make the baddies count toward defeat badges.
