Too true. The amount of times folks on teams have said 'ready!', I've set Build up and AS in motion and then discover nobody else has made a move yet...
Butt handed to me in on several dinky silver platters - every time.
Always wait until the rest of the group has engaged the mob - you don't miss the AS chance unless you get knocked out of hide. -
Re: EB's...Time, patience, tons of health and stamina insps, a lot of luck insps, and the desperate hope they don't heal too fast when you're gathering strength for another shot after placating them a few times.
With the AV's/Heroes you may as well not bother, they usually heal too fast to do any more than dent them when solo!
I'd always call in a bit of help for those if you can. People are generally obliging, especially if you've cleared the way to the end for them and it's not too far off their own location. Belonging to a good SG helps too! -
Learned the ropes about being a stalker through hard graft and long hours playing...now, my EM/Regen stalker owns most missions AV/EB's excluded of course). Can scrap it out with most brutes, when I need to, and mayhem missions are a breeze.
Eliminate all the minions when soloing, placating the boss until it's all lonesome. Then attack it in leisure!
Have found in teams though that AS'ing the bosses works fine if the rest of the team is already drawing some of the aggro. Just keep placeting and pummelling after the initial attack wave.
Works for me! -
Useful info - I'm gonna get Placate now next chance I get...wasn't sure about how effective it would be for my own stalker. It does get wearisome running for the hills every time I AS but don't get the kill first time. Makes solo missions drag on...and on...
