    I don't know how you figured this out but thanks! Worked perfectly. I'll have to make a note of this fix in case it happens again in the future.
  2. I am running into this problem as well now. I've tried everything suggested in this thread to no avail.... even did a fresh install just now and can still only launch the game in safe mode. I suppose the next thing to try is a rollback of my nvidia drivers but I'm just not feeling like doing this for just one game. Maybe it's time for a break for a few months and I'll come back later to see if it's sorted itself out by then.
