  1. I have taken my hand at GM hunting with mine. Never took any down, but was able to achieve stalemates rather easily. To be fair, I didn't really try that hard and didn't build for it either. I'll give the build a once over and give my thoughts in the morning. (Fighting a bit of a headache at the moment)

    It's a fun combination though.

Given that Matthew Fox said after the show that the Island was real, and the only "purgatory" was the sideways verse. Yes.

A good enough guessplanation, but it presumes that each of the Losties subconsciously knew the island had sunk (including Ben and Shannon, who weren't on the plane), plus I still think it was unnecessary. It was important for them to move on whether the island still existed or not, and I think it would've been more fulfilling if the island existed, and they still put it behind them. All-in-all, a minor gripe about a great season of a fantastic show.

Also, just out of curiousity - am I the only Lost fan in existence who didn't hate the Paulo and Nikki mini-storyline?
I'll take a stab at it. Their minds/souls had to create a world where 815 landed safely. The way to do that was construct a world where the island was no more i.e. sunk. This allowed "them" time to sort out their pre island lifes issues so that they could eventually be brought together by fate when they were ready to move on. Desmond seemed to act as the "servant of fate". /shrug I guess.

I didn't hate Nikki and Paulo as much as the general consensus of fans. What I didn't care for was the immediate axing of the storyline. It was obvious and seemed sloppy.

    Yep.

Talk about a finale that lead to tears. I bawled my eyes out with that ending.

I had similar thoughts. There is some merit to the argument.
  7. Some great stuff and some interesting answers to questions, but I think they really missed something.

When talking about the credit/crash site image I think they may have missed the hint/meaning in that there were no bodies on the beach (i.e. there were survivors) therefore you realize that what happened on the island did in fact happen i.e. the Island wasn't purgatory; the flash sideways was. (At least that's what I got out of it)
  8. As stated last night, my local affiliate didn't carry Kimmel. But they did show "The Incident" which is the first time we see Jacob and MiB. It was neat watching that episode after watching the finale.
  9. I'm going to say it. I'm getting a bit tired of Lindelof and Cuse trying to be celebrities and comedians. One funny little skit is ok, but they've really overdone it these last few months. Anytime they are interviewed there has to be some silly schtick, any show with skits they'll do something all "ironic" or ridiculous. Stick to writing boys, leave the acting and joking to the professionals and create us a new show already.
  10. To be fair, this entire thread is about spoilers. Anyone entering it should know by now.

They do a pretty good job of getting Memphis accurately. They did have a few details that left me scratching my head though....po' boys (not a Memphis staple). And Jason Lee is pretty good as always, but it's hard to tell what the show is going to be like. It's one of those quirky dramadies, so sometimes you aren't really sure what the show is trying to be. But I'm going to give it a few chances just to root for the home crowd.

Have you seen any of Memphis Beat yet? They were handing out mini disks at the BBQ fest that had the first 20 minutes of the pilot on them. It's a pretty good representation of Memphis.
  13. Yeah my local has news, 2 episodes of 2.5 men then Boston Legal then an old Lost.

This show did not answer the questions, for me, that made the show unique like the origin of the island, the mother of the island, etc...I just felt that the ending, which is generic and can be applied to any long running drama, did not do this unique show justice. I am done venting and chances are will not read anymore about this, in order to keep the little bit of sanity I have left...good day.
I completely and totally disagree. But hey that's what makes the world a great place; to each his own.

    Ahhhh, yes.
  17. Locke forgiving Ben was a pretty touching exchange. Both in how Locke forgave him, but also in how sincere Ben seemed when forgiven. He may have not been ready, but that was a big step towards moving forward.

Also, sidenoted, Alex wasn't in the church. I'm thinking Ben is waiting to be reunited with her to move on.

I believe it was Lapidus and Jack laughed because he knew his friends would be alright.

Considering hot sure Hurley was that Ben should be in the church with them, I'd have to say it wasn't to Heaven or Hell so much as moving on in general.
The various different religious symbols and statues suggested an "every persons" "great beyond" whatever you want to call it.

And Ben pointing out that he didn't think Locke needed the chair. Subtle and profound.
  21. This ones going to get analyzed for quite a while. I think I'm going to bask in the evening. Watch Kimmel to see if there are any "answers" and just reflect back on these 6 seasons.
  22. Charlie Claire- tears
    Sayid Shannon- pleasant surprise....tears
Sawyer Juliet- oh yeah big time tears
Jack flashing on the casket- little tears realizing it was almost over
    Ending- tears just drying now.

Great ending. Great show. Maybe the best television series ever. I'm profoundly satisfied.

    You were a great #2.

    You were an amazing #1.

  25. I know I'll be waiting until after the finale to post. But I'd like to take this opportunity for one last time saying how much I loved "Through the Looking Glass". Just for old times sake.
