  4. Greetings fellow heroes of Paragon City. I'm looking for heroes to aid me in foiling Archon Burkholder's plans on Striga Isle. Somethings going down on Saturday 20th May at around 8pm GMT. Level range of heroes able to lend a hand is 25-30 but anyone higher is welcome. At the moment I have 3 heroes that might be able to help me on this night. The team would consist of a tanker(me), a blaster and possibly 2 defenders.A duo of scrappers might be handy but any help is welcome as there is 4 spaces free. Thanx for your time my fellow heroes, if you want to chat to sort things out here are some of the characters I play as:
    Heroes
    Maximus Prime(scrapper)
    Prime Time(tanker)
    Vector Sigma(warshade)
    Omega Maximus Prime(peacebringer)
    Villains
    Terratron(brute)
    Noisemaker(Mastermind)
  5. Once again a big gratz to Wavey, with his 3rd lvl50, and to Robo. I need no special thanx, I was happy to lend a hand. It was a blast and I had loads of fun teaming with Robo on the way to lvl50. I've made a good friend in Robo, so thanx to you for having me along for the ride
  6. Last you'll be hearing from on this. I didn't set out to anger anyone I just saw what I would call a flaw and began to pick at it, so sorry if I've cheesed you off.

The cost of changing a costume is not what I'm picking at, lol also being vain has nothing to do with it either.

Also not being ignorant, I'm trying to learn more about this. I've heard stories of nightmare lag and it's what has put me off. I always wondered how the blob was killed and now I know the tactics used thanx to the guide.

What my point was, but I don't thing anyone got, what happens to your freedom?I know you prefer people not to come in capes and auras because of lag but what if people do?This is a game after all so why be so botherd if someone does come in a cape.Theres no point in sending them tells asking (if your polite) or telling (for the not so polite peeps out there) to change the costume as that person would be quite happy to carry on cape swooshing in the wind because that is how they like to play the game. What's stopping those who are very unhappy with having a go at this person and then things get nasty because that person would still prefer to keep the cape. Cape person could recieve alot of abuse for playing the way they like and all they did was turn up to have fun and kill big old mean hammi. I would say that being called things, that would be censored, by someone repeatedly or by a big group of peeps bullying.Just because that person is different doesn't give you the right to have a go at them. Then of course those throwing the abuse would be petitioned, their defense? The silly "that guy was wearing a cape and wouldn't take it off."

So what i'm saying is if someone does turn up in a cape and/or aura It's most likely they ain't going to change it so leave them be and just focus on the task in hand. It's going to be a night full of unholy laggy evil, just don't take it out on the ones that are different and want to keep their capes and auras as they are there to help.

So be it fully equipped with cape and cowl or stripped down to your undies, Good luck and have fun

WOW! Max, you are really not feeling this whole "community event" thing at all are you? Do you think that the organisers are just saying things for the sake of it? Or perhaps somewhere, deep down, they are doing their best to make sure the raid succeeds for everyone?

May be you are just trolling...........

    [/ QUOTE ]

I hope you all do well, I'm just expressing my opinion is that wrong? Yes I haven't been on a raid and I don't plan to, if I do have a problem with this it's still the last two points of my last post that no one has anwsered.

    1) If you see someone during the raid who has a cape and/or aura and you send them tells to change their cossie and they don't so you keep sending tells till they leave ( to change cossie or not to return) isn't that bullying?
2)If you do see someone waiting out side the hive with a cape and/or aura will you be telling them not to enter and denying them access to explore this zone if they had never been there?

    Ok I've rephrased the points.

LOL me controlling, I'm just asking things I'm not the one tellings peeps what they can and can't do.

Personally I don't think it's that much of a sacrifice to go back to a pre-level 20 costume.

This is all well and fine if u haven't altered your pre lvl 20 cossie. My guy being a robot always seemed to have something missing then I got the auras and now I have the same star burst glow eyes on all my cossie. It makes my character look alive, like you can see more into him throw his eyes now and I don't really want to lose the effect.
I've read the guide and don't get me wrong I'm all up for having a plan but you keep using this will cause lag and that will.... but surely all these little bits is nothing compared to the lag thats going to be cause by the number of peeps who turn up. I mean the guide is partically saying if you have kinetic powers don't bother turning up. Next you'll be updating the guide to exculde people with extra effects to their powers like fire, ice and energy. Will you also be telling Peacebringers and Warshades that have been built to regularly use nova and dwarf forms not to use them?(I didn't see that in the guide)What next, tell everyone who isn't in commanding roles not to talk because speach bubbles cause lag? I'm sure a bucket load of illusion controllers summoning their isn't going to crash the servers and, cause lag cause it not in the guide, but someone with a cape will??
Also why does it have to be game over when the yellow things appear? Why hasn't your guide got a part that deals with these instead just laying down and not bothering? If your are roleplaying then a hero would be willing to put his/her life on the line no matter the odds and no matter how hopless it looks but you say just to give up?? Thats not very heroic.
If this is a community thing surely you should be encouraging people to turn up and not turning them away because they don't fit in to your plan? Do you even think about the rest of the community below lvl 45? I used to get really laggy when a raid was on and I was no where near the hive. Then of cousre theres this conga line I've heard about, something once again cause lag and which will affect those of us not taking part in the raid. The community is EVERYONE not just those who do what you tell them too. If you think the community is just your little group going to fight a big old blob then well done, you're starting your own little dictatorship.
    Last two points:
    1) If you guys do see someone with an aura and/or cape and you guys keep sending him tells to change their cossie and they don't and you keep sending them tells till they leave, either changed or not returnin, aren't you technacally bullying that person?
2)You said you'd be checking eveyones costumes before you go into the hive. If you see heroes with capes and/or auras will you be turning them away, denying the chance to fight hammi, excluding them from this gathering of the community and banning them from entering the hive?
  9. As an invunerable scrapper I light up brighter than a christmas tree with all my toggles on and I'm sure there's other builds out there with powers that could look like if not over power costume auras. Is it me or does it sound silly for you guys to ask peeps to remove auras from cossies they are happy with then hassle them because they haven't?I'm sure the last time hammi was killed there were peeps with capes in the pics. Do you really want to squash the freedom of people who want to join but don't want to lose their auras or capes?
