    Next Halloween

    Thank you for the welcome Phantoms, and let me say i can understand your dissaproval of this, but hear me out..

    I know raids can be a pain in the rear and there are other threads elsewhere asking for them to be done less which I agree with. Nothing worse that trying to do something in a zone and end up caught in the middle of a raid you dont want to be a part of.

    (Perhaps the devs can look at a way of making you unattackable by raid mobs, or work on where raid mobs spawn, to make it a bit easier on those people who don't want to be involved, but that had been asked for elsewhere so i will speak no further of it.)

    On the face of it this does seem like unconsentual PVP, but think about it, the players would be just like normal raid zombies, but just have more HP (maybe even that can be reduced). It won't be like they can suddenly unleash all their powers on you, and while it would be possible for a large group to run around a zone attacking anyone and everyone, the zombie players would also be attackable by everything else and would be level independant like normal raid zombies. I think the non zombie players would have the upper hand. Heck the devs could reduce the number of spawning zombies to balance the number of player zombies.

    For your last point, I think the costume tattering would work well and just add a little extra look and feel factor to being attacked by zombiefied heroes/villains. Also none of this would be permanent so your beautiful costume would miraculously go back to normal after you stopped being a zombie (if you even chose to be one in the first place).

    Next Halloween

    Perhaps a little late in Posting this one but I needed to think about it a bit. I noticed there are a few people playing who felt that the Halloween event had not changed much this year, or the year before, or that the changes made were not really that great. So I thought of a few ideas for next year, apparently WoW had zombie plague this year where players could actually become zombies, and while I'm not sure how it worked in that game, it sounded like a cool idea so here's how I thought it could work for CoH/CoV.

    [u]During zombie raid, players KO'd by zombies get option to become a zombie.[u]
    They will then have a zombie infection power active.

    Duration: until KO'd or end of zombie raid
    (when KO'd as zombie get option to rise again as zombie or goto hospital and be cured)

    While zombie infection is active, it give the following effects:
    - all other auto powers are negated*
    - slightly increased health regeneration
    - increased resistance to all damage types
    - greatly increased resistance to Psionic and Toxic damage
    - near immunity to sleep
    - all powers are except brawl and hover are disabled*
    - player zombies are given standard zombie attacks (punch melee attack and toxic ranged attack)*
    - player zombies cannot attack or be attacked by raid zombies
    - player zombies can attack and be attacked by non zombie players
    - player zombies become level independant (like normal raid zombies)
    - costume is changed to look more like zombie
    gloves and boots become zombie ones
    face becomes zombie (pattern and other head details stay, where face is not present on head type then leave as is)
    capes, robes, sleeves, trench coat tails, and pants become tattered where present
    wings become bone
    - 100% debt protection (as everyone else gets during zombie raid)
    - player zombies group name should be <Zombie> (as with other zombies, this should show instead of SG name)
    - player zombies are taken off SG mode, and cannot turn it back on.

    If possible players should get exp from defeating opposed players whichever side they are on.

    other ideas:
    If a player spends enough time as a zombie they get a badge and can then choose to become a zombie Leiutenant when they are KO'd next.

    If a player spends enough time as a zombie they get the zombie infection power as a temporary power which they can activate after halloween events are over (although without the debt protection and pvp ability, possibly even just keep the costume changes)

    After Trick or Treating, players who get a costume badge should be able to select one of the costumes they got to keep as a permanent power (this will mean players who get all three badges will have 3 costume powers to keep, or can change their costume choice on the second and third badge).

    Note:
    *I was 50/50 on whether players turned into zombies should keep their powers.
    While some powers make sense to give to a zombie (melee weapons, superstrength and invulnerability mainly) other powers would probably not be usuable by zombies (archery, assault rifle, shield, willpower, reflexes), and there are those that would just not fit at all (control sets, healing, stealth etc). So for fairness the best option would be for anyone turned into a zombie to just get the powers that zombies have and not have their own powers, also for other players (who aren't looking to do normal pvp) it will not make the zombie raid fights that differnt except for seeing other players as zombies.
    I've included brawl since its just a punch, and hover as it seems to be a power that a zombie might be able to use and would change fights a bit.

    I think you should know that even though what I'm suggesting is practically PVP, I am almost completely a PVE player, and I have more fun playing against computer opponents than other players. Thats said, I think even someone like me would enjoy this from either side, especially since the zombie raids come with 100% debt protection, and the zombie players would effectively be consenting to reduction in powers in order to do pvp.
