I'm going to try and go three pages without mentioning their passionate and secret affair. Let's see if I can do it.
  2. I play "Villains" far, far more. I know the Rogue Isles like a second home; I've never been above Security level 24 in Paragon City.

I need to read more of the comics to get a feel for Statesman...

There, still, is a couple that mystifies me. I would have sooner paired SP with States than with Manticore (that whole ageless thing). Meh.

I swear that I earnestly read this as "Manticore with States". It's seeped into my subconscious.

Either way, I updated my post with the exact description of the wine. I trust your knowledge of CoH lore that this is an awesome gift.
  4. I was thinking about Statesman's character this morning and how the most personality I ever saw of his that was, well, interesting, was the limited duration wedding event that happened when Manticore and Sister Psych got hitched. You had to uncover what wedding gift each member of the Freedom Phalanx gave them.

Statesman gave them a bottle of wine:

From the 'Three Sisters' winery. The tag says 'From Marcus'.
Anyway, that was the only moment I saw of him that interested me. Edit: The core of a character is in the details. Unless you're dealing with extremely high fantasy (Lord of the Rings, for example), a character needs to be deep and rounded, like a Bon Bon of infinite nom-iness. What do they like? What don't like they? What are there flaws? What's Statesman's favorite book? A real character has answers to these questions.

Maybe it's because I don't play Heroes that much, but I don't ever see much besides "He's perfect; now go away."

"It's /quit, but that will log you out completely."

"Oh, okay, thanks. *Laughs* Sorry, I uh, I erased all my self made macros on accident."

    "Newb. :P "

    "I know, right?"

    Something about this just clicks.
  9. This reminds me to track down the program that lets me change the game's loading screens and log in page.
  10. I think the burden is on the paparazzi to get some photos.

Even when their sexuality has never explicitly been discussed.
    It's unrealistic! UNREALISTIC!

We have no proof that she isn't.

By the by, a new Statesline image originating from Unleashed's Forums:

I know. We're on the same page here. The same, calligraphy laden and adjective saturated page.
  14. I say they just use the number "40" to mean "a lot" and move on. Forty people died on Vulcan; there were only forty survivors. They lost over 99% of their people.

    1) As I stated before: How does proving that they like women prove that they don't like men? I could google the word Bisexual for you, but I'm at work and like employment.

    2) How are you taking this thread seriously?
  19. That post got away from me, yeah...

Well, I can hear you, Prime.
  20. People assume that peoples' love lives are a strict parallel of their on-screen affections, but actually from a more realistic, distanced viewpoint, it's more like a big ball of smoochy-woochie, kissy huggy... stuff.

Be careful. Later I ship Fusionette finding comfort in the arms of Vanessa DeVore. The harbor holds ships of all kinds.

Except tug boats. Chris Hanson has no cause for concern.
  22. I think it'd be really cool if one of the tutorial mission involved Statesman saving you. That way, when you save him at level 50, it carries much more meaning for the individual player.
