  1. [ QUOTE ]
This is blowing my mind. How can people quote a hit/miss ratio that doesn't add up to 100%?

Because the orignal question wasn't asking for a hit/miss ratio? It was asking for hit percentage from attackers view and miss percentage of defenders view. These are two totally separate views with two totally separate expectations. Which is why they were separate questions within each category.
  2. 1) Standard ToHit vs. no Defense, I would want to hit most of the time (75% ish). As a defender with no defense, I would expect to be missed half of the time (50%). Having no defense makes you a sitting duck, but the attacker still has to hit you for that to matter, which he's not getting any help with.

    2) Max ToHit vs no Defense, I'd expect to hit almost every time (95%). As a defender with no defense facing the business end of a marksman, I'd expect to be hit with every shot, and count my blessings if I was missed. Even the best shooters miss their mark sometimes due to external forces.

    3) Standard ToHit vs Max Defense, facing a master of evasion and elusiveness, I'd be ecstatic to hit with 20% of my shots, though I'd expect to hit him with only 5-10%. With max Defense, I'd expect to be missed by almost everything (95%). Sometimes people get lucky and hit you...but not very often.

    4) Max ToHit vs Max Defense, as an attacker I would expect my prey to be good but would still expect to hit with 75% of my shots. As a defender, I would aknowldedge that the aggressor really knows what he's doing, but so do I and would expect to be missed 75% of the time.
  3. Did you know...

The entances/exits to the Hazard Zones used to have their original names engraved above the giant doors. For instance, the 'Boomtown' gate had Baumton above it, "Faultline" was had Overbrook, etc.

This was changed a couple issues back to listing the in game name on the blue plaque beside the doors. I miss the old signs
  4. Thanks bpphantom, the mission name is what I wanted, that way I know to have a few teammates for that mission (and after).
  5. Since this has some upcoming implications to me, which mission spawns the Kronos Titan ambush?
  6. No was was I reading 15 pages...

Personally I enjoy Longbow, as they present just a hair more challenge then every other group I've faced on my Mastermind. Meaning they are a small step up from no challenge...AND they give enhanced (120%ish) XP and Prestige...what's not to love about that?

This is the real reason why leveling is faster in CoV...the slow levels (30's) are heavily laden with Longbow missions, which give more XP overall than Crey or CoT.
  7. How did you come up with Manticore's backstory?

Through a twist of fate, my AR/Dev Blaster (whose name I wanted to call Manticore) shares a very similar backstory. He also has a costume that was similar to Manticore's orginal yellowish costume. Throw in that Manticore's original power set was Archery/Devices...that's just a whole bunch of coincidences.

The first 3 weeks of the game I would grumble about the guy who camped the name 'Manticore' on every server before I found out he is a signature hero.
  8. I really enjoyed this first issue, and happy to see Manticore as the feature. He's my favorite hero, mainly because he stole my name . I can't express how mad I was when I found 'Manticore' reserved on every server day 1 of the servers. When I learned he was a premier hero with a backstory and powerset disturbingly similar to my own, I felt much better.
