I don't think she quit...her last post was on May 18th and I'd guess that Missy would have let Justice know if she would be leaving. Last I heard, work and school were preventing her from posting or logging in with any sort of regularity.

I love how this thread has gone from talking about Justice's celebrities to stalking them.

I've been able to at least figure that out, but I always see "Reading a post in flat mode" or whatever. It's never shown me the exact post they're looking at.

EDIT - Oh, wait, nevermind! I figured it out! I've always looked at the "Friends Online" in the personal preferences section. I've never clicked "Who's online" at the top of the forum...never even noticed it there!

I'm curious how this got interpreted as a popularity contest. When I read the original post, it looked like someone was asking us to point out who we thought were good players, regardless of whether they are outgoing or quiet. Is there some award if somone gets mentioned by more than one person? I've yet to see any flaming or back-biting. I don't see any posts of "Player X is more better than Player Y because he does A, B & C for the community". The people in-game that don't read the forums won't see the results/posts of this thread regardless, so are we expected to feel sorry for their perceived slight in choosing not to participate? <shrug>

You are right that there are a lot of awesome people on Justice. Pointing those people out, or the reasons why you feel inclined to point them out, isn't a popularity contest. We aren't electing anybody to anything... well, unless Talia starts handing out titles again.

There are way too many to list for me... people in my SG, people in some of the chat channels I'm in, and the sadly not insignificant number of people that originally got me into the game but no longer play, including co-workers from a company I no longer work at. These people know who they are because I generally point it out to them individually, and really, that's more important than pointing them out in a forum thread. Tell someone how they, individually, impacted you and you'll usually get a much better response.

This does however give me an idea for a thread... hmmm....

...I can certainly understand why it would cause some to pause and express caution regarding the topic.

There used to be a thread a long time ago where posters would write about how certain individuals made an impact on their COH experience, so it's pretty evident that Justice has no problem giving credit where credit is due. But anything that could end up as a list of "popular" for the sake of popularity and not merit runs the risk of not going over very well.

For me, there are just too many people that I would have to list...every person that I have encountered on Justice, whether for good or for bad, has had an impact upon my play experience and has helped me grow as a COH player and a member of our community. So when I say "everybody," I'm not trying to be funny...I most certainly mean it!

It's probably the same guy. For those who are interested in seeing how Doug is doing, he's actually pretty searchable via Yahoo and Google. Among the top hits for the search criteria "Doug the Troll" is Doug's COH thread, which includes his post from last year detailing why he's on a break. From there, you can hop over to his LiveJournal page.

I unfortunately never got the chance to team with Doug, but I really miss the guy...Justice just wasn't the same without a No Pants Day this year!

I think so as well. I kept seeing "new forum" pop up on various forums through the day yesterday. And the thread list for Justice is noticeably smaller.

I only wanted to ensure that it didn't continue on here so the thread wouldn't get nuked for a perceived flame war. Thanks guys for taking it elsewhere, you have my utmost thanks an appreciation.

BTW...I've been on this game for 2 1/2 years and have had the pleasure of "meeting" many fine individuals. I've had varying levels of personal interaction with these folks...some I've had met personally, some I've chatted with on team chat and/or the telephone, some I've never had the pleasure of meeting or chatting with. Some I've known for many years on COH, others I've known IRL for many years prior. The nature of each relationship varies from individual to individual, but I can say one thing for certain...all of these individuals I consider friend. Given the inquiries I received regarding the original topic of this thread from those I consider friends, I felt enough individuals showed such concern to give me cause to let my Justice friends what was going on to set the record straight.
