Grats to all, I showed up in the background for last active day of account. Good to see a nice size group of folks in Pocket D bidding.
Have fun folks. -

Quote:See, I just always run with the maxinactivefps 5. I figure, if I alt-tab out of CoH I don't want CoH hogging my graphics while I surf the web. The maxinactive setting doesn't affect your play at all, so there's no reason to not use it all the time. The maxfps setting isn't like that though since it throttles your maximum fps, as the name implies(duh). If I run two instances, I tend to put maxfps 25 on both though anyway, since I've had the second instance black out on me a few times when I didn't. My fps never actually even gets higher than 25 anyway though...
Anyway, I'd rather just have it all on all the time instead of having to type it in every time I start the game.
Good thinking
I'll give that a try, thanks again. -
Thanks I did find that but the problem I'm coming up with is I launch the game normally once, and then a second time with only the 2nd instance running those command lines. 1st instance running game normally. That section applies command line to all Live versions open. For now it works fine if I type the commands in game so that'll have to do.

Quote:Excellent information as always, got the game running pretty well but would you or anyone happen to know if there are any Command Lines for /maxfps 25 and /maxinactivefps 10 via a desktop shortcut?Pro Tip: New and Quick Start-up Desktop Icons
1. After your clients (Live, Test, and Beta) are set up, open the NCSoft Launcher. Click on File (top drop down menu) > In General Tab, click on "After launching game:" drop down > chose "Exit Launcher" > OK.
2. Right click on a client (e.g. CITY OF HEROES TEST) > on the pop up menu, chose "Create Desktop Shortcut"
3. Close the NCSoft Launcher. Find new Desktop Shortcut and double click it. The NCSoft Launcher will open briefly, start the client, then exit. From here on out, all you need is that one double-click to start the game.
Pro Tip: Customizing Start-up Desktop Icons and Skins
If you use several clients (Live, Test, and Beta), you may want to customize the Desktop Shortcuts and the start-up 'skin' so you get visual cues as to which client you're starting and which server you're entering. I use all three servers and clients. I gave the Live client the Hero icon and skin, the Test client the Villain icon and skin, and the Beta client the GR Gold icon and skin.
1. Open the NCSoft Launcher. For each client, right click and on the pop up menu, chose "Properties."
2. In the Properties window, you can add many of the old command line tags you use to with the shortcut to the old launcher. For the blue Hero skin, leave it blank or use -uiskin 0. For the red Villain skin, use -cov or -uiskin 1. For the gold GR skin, use -uiskin 2. Hit the OK button when done.
3. For each Desktop Shortcut Icon, you can customize which icon to show. Right click on the shortcut and in the pop up menu, chose Properties. In the main or shortcut tab, look for the "Change Icon" button and click it. If you get an error message or only one icon to chose from, click the Browse button and navigate to the cityofheroes.exe file in your main City of Heroes directory. You should now see a choice of five icons to use. Chose the one you want for each client's/server's shortcut.
For now I can manually enter them in game for 2nd instance of game running.
Overall though with Zombie Man's breakdown, the transition was rather smooth. -
Does the NCLauncher support multiple launches of the game for dualboxing.
Does NCLauncher support 2 instances of the game running 2 different parameters. On the second instance using: -maxfps 25 -maxinactivefps 10 as parameters but not the first?
Does the NCLauncher allow you to bypass verify files if you want to get back into the game quickly after a crash?
These are kind of important to me and some friends in game. -

Not sure if this is a bug or intentional.
On Lady Grey Task Force we could not get past the green healing mito's. One of the teammates used a power analyzer on it and said they saw 50 hold protection listed for it. With 2 controllers spamming holds and rest of team trying to spike damage one for 10 minutes we had to give up.
Just wondering if its intentional or not. Thanks. -
