Yes, I'm aware of that. I read his post. Still hampers team splitting in Zones, which is probably a limitation they have anyway as I mentioned later.

Yeah. Imo, I don't see it as a big deal. I team most of my character's careers and don't hunt that much, and if I do I'm close to the main group of the team (have to be, since my main is a defender).
It would be nice to see a team split into 4s or whatever division get their exp split by how many people are within their 300ft range. Dunno if that's possible though. -

Still confused about one point: if (for example) you've got a three person team, each person on the team is 400' away from each other person, and person X defeats a bad guy -- does person X get "solo XP" or XP for being on a 3 person team?
[/ QUOTE ]
He'd get XP with the 3 person team multiplier...BUT that XP would still be divided appropriately between each teammate. The others, however, wouldn't receive their shares.
[/ QUOTE ]
This is what we feared. As people in other topics mentioned, this actually is worse XP than going solo. So the player is penalized XP-wise for splitting from the team. In other words, if you split the team into two teams to complete two tasks, you're actually getting LESS XP than if you created two SEPARATE teams to do the same thing.

You're right if you are not on a mission map. Just thought I should point out that if you are on a mission map you get exp no matter where you are on it, so two sub teams can earn each other exp if they decide to split up and take down the mish that way. -

I don't know if this has been mentioned..but are you considering what "anime costumes" mean? Yes, in anime there are a lot of school girl uniforms, yukutas, kimonos and other tradtional Japanese clothing..but there's also sub genres in anime such as mecha. Have you ever seen Gundam Wing? Mecha are robots and technical things like that..perhaps that is included?
There's also so many other different types of "anime" costumes..not everything is Sailor Moon or Dragon Ball Z. Take a look at Gundam Wing, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Cowboy Bebop.. those are more science fiction/modern than traditional Japanese dress.

Oh I'm aware of this too. But Mecha? I think thats a hopeful thought, but regardless we already have several options that translate to mecha roughly and I don't use any of them either really. As I've said I'm speculating against the worst case scenario in most cases, mostly because force of habit has taught me to...so I'll be pleasantly surprised when I get more than expected.
Its sort of like a conscious process of pro-actively lowering my expectations so pretty much anything looks better than what I've considered.

*nods* Well, I guess the way I personally am dealing with this is looking at the big picture. There's already so many costume options..I don't really care about how much more I get to chose from. I'm creative enough with what's there as is.. and I much rather see the dev team working on bigger projects, like balance issues and new content. But that's just my opinion, of course. -

Even though I love anime, I prolly wouldn't wear any of the costumes due to the fact that I like my charas to look comic-like rather than anime. But I'm not against it. I think it's a great idea.

Pos,
Just killed Babbage in mission with several other high 40's and 50's, no exemplars. None of us received any badge.
As a side note, please do not add any more badges that you get by killing a single-spawning outdoor creature (Kraken, Adamaster). It screams "I HATE EVERQUEST" in burning lights in the sky. You want kill stealing, mad players all hunting in one area trying to crush the spirits of each over a single creature? Keep CoH unique and fresh....please don't use this horrible, terrible design method
[/ QUOTE ]
Babbage or Psychic Babbage (two different beasts)?
As for the kill stealing... several groups can get "badge credit" off one monster... just like several heroes can get defeat credit off one villain.
[/ QUOTE ]
Pos, what if you're a defender healing/buffing everyone, do you have to make a hit to get badge credit?
