  1. Well taken, then.

Granted, there are things like ambushes and other mission-triggered spawns, which other players not directly involved can get caught up in. The difference, however, is how much the general population is forced to deal with other players' content. IMO, the Rikti Invasion, being zone-wide and spawning directly to all characters within that zone, goes too far in this respect, at least with regards to the TF being completed.

Which I'd agree with, except that my own happens to involve this stupid event actually ending at some point, which it's not going to do.

Every time I think that they've finally ended that Babbage Event, that mechanical monstrosity pops into my view and I have to alter course while cruising across Skyway. Damned inconvenient.

There is a major difference between a single, non-flying mob that appears in a zone going after a set group of people and a zone-wide ambush of everyone in the zone, including columns of flying, effectively-indestructible mobs that two-shot you as they pass. No one who is flying would even notice Babbage, and certainly would not be attacked by him, unless they were hugging the street.

Additionally, no one has to interact with Babbage during the TF, except those in the TF and anyone very unlucky enough to have him spawn on top of them. In a Rikti attack, everyone in the zone, who is not inside, has mobs spawn next to them to attack them. Even on high roofs above the dropships.
  3. I know it's not a popular view, but I want to express my disappointment in this.

Firstly, people should be able to experience or ignore content as they wish. These Invasions amount to forced content. I would rather not have to deal with traveling through dropship-land to get to my mish because it happens to be in a currently-targeted zone. Additionally, the beginner zones of Atlas Park and Galaxy City are, according to policy, non-ambush zones. I see this as a violation of that policy.

The suggestions of removing contacts, access to the hospital, auction, and other places used during normal gameplay, are ridiculous. I pay my monthly fee and I want to play the game as I wish any time I log on.

Secondly, the ADMIN spam announcing attacks is irritating in the extreme. It would be better to have it only affect the zone that will be targeted and on a special channel that only those who care about them who are outside the zone can put on a chat tab.

    Thirdly,...lag.
