Well, on a bright note, I have spent months trying to justify to my wife the need for building a new computer. This finally seems to have green lighted that project. Now I just have to save up some cash for the parts.

Yeah, it sucked with how fast it rolled in. One moment it was sunny with a few clouds and within a couple minutes it went to stormy with a lot of lightning. 1000 strikes within a 15 to 20 minute window, or so I am told.

Anywho, one strike was pretty dang close. Didn't hit my house directly, but it was close enough that there was no delay between the flash and the thunder. Blinded me for a second and the boom set off every car alarm for several blocks. Half of my equipment shut off and only part of it came back up. Got a new cable modem to get back on the internet, but it is going to take a while to get back to full strength on the other stuff.
