  1. The Raid was outstanding. Glad I got to go again after along time not seeing Hami. With the great leadership, it was a piece of PIE!

Just a clarification, this strategy is being attempted in Hive 2 for the second raid of the night, correct?
I was never in Evo, I had my own guild "Rift Keepers" that assisted in most of the raids back then. We always listened to raid leaders and stuck with our groups and roles, so we were always invited back every week playing same roles. I would just coordinate what needed to be done with my guys that were passed down.

*Hami itself is spawned by player action (hunting GMs once everyone's ready).

Sweet! Thanks for all the info, and I will definately read up for Saturday.
  4. I have been away for a long time, and came back alittle bit ago playing casually, but ready to get back in the saddle again. I did't think Hami Raids still went on.

My 1st toon, Lokbane (50 Fire/Storm Controller), is pretty much Hami-O'ed in most of his powers, and still has about 5 sitting in his 10 slot inventory to trade.

He was the 3rd Controller on Virtue to hit 40 before they upped the cap to 50 and still fun to play, but not much to do with a Level Cap Toon.

Has anything changed drastically? I was at most of the scheduled raids along time ago. It would be nice to see hundreds of people in action again, even though it took a minute or more for an action to happen. 8^)

I am still a member of VirtueUnited Channel that used to be the old Hami Raid Channel. Is there a new one to listen to the chatter?

Just wondering what the actual power is like, vs other sets.
Also I need a build, because I did build him pretty badly!

    Thanks,

My 1st toon was a Fire/Storm Controller which I started the 3 day head start after Beta, and it was hard to level because of no raw damage, and people hated controllers in groups when Tanks could round up the entire instance and then everyone AoE.

Think of the Sonic/Ice Blaster as a faster leveling, petless Controller. Also, people will invite you to groups left and right, just because you are a blaster for DPS.

My Sonic/Ice is my favorite Blaster for either Solo or Group. In groups, you may not use Sleep as much, but you have disorients and Holds, and then Ice Patch!!! While Soloing, you have the CC of a Controller and the DPS to kill swiftly before your Mezzes wear off.

If you go Cold Mastery, you have the ability to sleep Bosses. By stacking Sirens Song, Frozen Aura, and Flash Freeze... Along with being able to chain your Siren's Song, Screech, and Freezing Touch before LTs and Minions come out of the Mezzes.

*** Change to Ice Patch ***
If you haven't played with Ice Manipulation in awhile, Ice Patch now Forces a Knockdown which knocks the Mobs out of Sleep. Before they would just stand in the Ice Patch not moving while sleeping. This was a bummer, but doesn't slow you down at all, because you use more AoE now.

    Here is my Sonic/Ice Build:

  6. Here was my Sonic Power Set write up I suggested from Beta:

*NOTE: Accuracy Reduction supersedes a lower percentage and does not stack unless specified, but does add the amount of time affected to the total time left.

Primary Power: SONIC BLAST / Secondary Power for Defender Archetype

    - Sonic Bolts: The hero can quickly hurl small bolts of sonic energy at foes dealing some damage and reduces slightly reduces the ACCURACY of your foe for a very short period. Sonic Bolts deals light damage but recharges quickly.
    - Sonic Blast : The hero can sent a blast of sonic waves at a foe dealing moderate damage and reduces the ACCURACY of your foe for a short period. Sonic Blast deals more Damage than Sonic Bolts, but recharges more slowly.
    - Scream : A high pitched cone of sound emitted from the hero’s mouth that can greatly reduce your opponents ACCURACY for a short period of time.
    - Deaf Tone(AoE) : (STACKS) Emits a high frequency sound in a targeted location that deafens foes and reduces a small amount of your foes ACCURACY.
    - Focused Frequency : A Focused Freq. Wave of Sound that can travel great distances with high accuracy. This is a Sniper Attack and like most sniper attacks, this power is best used from a distance as it can be interrupted.
    - Ping : (AIM), greatly increases the accuracy of your attacks for a few seconds. Slightly increases damage.
    - Sonic Wallop : The hero claps his hands together with such force that it causes a heavy amount of Damage to all near by foes.
    - Sonic Bubble : This power can hold your opponent in a small solidified ball of sonic energy, only allowing Sonic and Mental powers to bypass the encasement.
    - Sonic Boom : (STACKS) The Hero expels a Crack of Sonic Energy bursting foes ear drums and greatly reducing their chance to hit. Sonic Boom deals massive damage to all nearby foes, although the damage does vary. Activating this power costs a lot of the hero’s Endurance, and afterwards leaves him drained, disoriented and unable to recover any Endurance for awhile.

    Secondary Power: SOUND MANIPULATION

    - Sonic Rings : Surrounds and immobilizes a single target in rings of solid sound. Deals Damage over Time, and is useful to keep villains at bay.
    - Swipe : A powerful swipe of air backed by an amplified sound wave.
    - Tuning Fork : Greatly increases your attacks for a few seconds. Slightly increases accuracy.
    - Stomp : The hero forcefully stomps His foot on the ground and amplifies the sound which Damages all near by foes.
    - Attuned : While activated, the hero emanates an Ultrasonic pulse that continuously damages all foes that attempt to enter melee range.
    - Stun : Stun deals minor damage, but disorients its targets a whole lot. This attack can disorient most opponents.
    - Vibrate : The hero causes nearby foes to vibrate and shake uncontrollably enough to dramatically slow their movement and attack rates.
    - Amplify Range : The hero can amplify his own powers to increase the range of his next few attacks.
    - Convulsions : Convulsions violently vibrates a target and causes him to be over come with violent spasms. Convulsions also drains a significant amount of Endurance from the target.
