Ooh! I have another one!
Why are all the plaques in Praetoria, First Ward, and Night Ward in Estonian? -
So many good questions...I hope mine aren't repeats (I didn't read past the first two pages):
First, the non-Lore-specific ones:
1. Were there ever plans to release 'custom' costume items--like Scirocco's hair, for example, long battle skirts for men, Vanessa Devore's back rings, that kind of thing?
2. In addition to the Imperial Dynasty pack, were there ever plans to release a Tsoo pack? Or at least, release some of the costume pieces for the Tsoo female models?
3. Was base building ever going to be revamped so it was easier to align objects without flicker?
4. Were Masterminds ever going to get more options for pets?
Now the Lore ones:
1. Was there ever intended to be a Mot specific to Praetoria, or are all the First Ward hints of a growing dark power meant to point to Dark Astoria and Primal Earth?
2. Was Destroyed Praetoria going to be the new zone for all Praetorian characters, with an Echo: Praetoria option slotted in somewhere? Or would Destroyed Praetoria have trumped previous zone versions?
3. Why, when leaving Praetoria, did the entire zone seem to forget the character's existence? It always seemed like travel to Primal Earth forced a memory reset on the Praetorians left behind. Was this meant to be canon, or was it just a coding issue that became adopted shorthand for the process?
4. Were there plans to 'rebuild' Brickstown and Faultline? (Not update, but actually have the cranes, ironworkers, foreman and the like actually slowly rebuild structures, with the old broken structures being removed from the zones?)
Thanks in advance! -
Quote:I only found out about an hour in to the event on Virtue (I started on Talos Island 2) that this was all happening manually, which still floors me. That's SO much effort, and dear gods, you guys are awesome for coordinating that even with the hitches in the system that occurred. As far as the duration of the event is concerned, the situation is two-fold. Firstly, people start getting bored. We have certain mobs that we're able to spawn for you all. Those get boring after a bit. If they're not extremely tanky (like, say, the Goliath War Walkers in the Praetorian Invasions last year), then they die very quickly, which means we have to rush back to the zone a lot faster. Since the number of enemies is limited, there's only so long you guys will want to kill tentacles, Coralax, Flyers and Arachnos.
I know why I heard a lot of complaining in various zones--Shark Week, I think people wanted more Mako than anything else--but seeing the half-ring of tentacles around Talos Island was phenomenal, and all the flyers crowding around various locations were great fun, too.
That, and y'all gave my wee fae healer Thistlebeam bragging rights for ETERNITY--because Mako called her out. OPENLY. Honestly, I think I giggled like a schoolgirl for half an hour.
In short:
You all rock.
As a live event, this went better than some of the planned events I've played in other games, so I wouldn't take the complaining seriously.
Thistlebeam now gets to tell everyone she's Mako's nemesis ()
And the parade of tentacles and Rularuu in Pocket D after made my night.
