I entered this as a bit of fun, with a fun char - I never thought for a moment that I may actually win. My apologies if anyone disagrees with my entry.

My 4th costume entry was that of a NEW char, a Praetorian version of Prime-8, called Praetor Prime - wearing all new Clockwork/PPD/etc., costume parts, so new char = new NPC. I put Prime-8 in (and Prime-Evil, his original nemesis) as no-one would have got the Praetor Prime name if they were not familiar with him. @Black Mage names Psilence amongst his/her active char names in his/her sig, so I assume he/she may have had a similar idea. ((Congrats to @Black Mage btw)).

To update you all on goings-on:

I have checked OnRPG.com each evening since the comp closed. I work a 6 day week, 7am til 6pm currently. I checked the forum around 8pm (28th Sept), noticed the result was in, so checked e-mail to confirm - a congratulatory message was sent at 1:56pm, I read it at 8pm and replied asking 'what to do next' and who to send the requested cossie file and pics to at NCSoft.

I returned home from work this evening, to be greeted by an e-mail (read at 7pm) saying 'thanks for a quick response' and another e-mail address and message from the comp organisers requesting the files - sent at 9.20am. I then had another e-mail awaiting me marked 'urgent' (sent 11:00am) - NCSoft wanted the files 'within the hour' to 'make this work' and for announcements, etc. I have since replied and sent the files and pics over at around 7.30pm.

(Some times stated may be a little off as I am in the UK and the organisers are based in the Netherlands)

I am now waiting patiently, with a hint of stress, to see what I must do next.

Apologies to all, this has all happened very quickly, I have NEVER won ANYTHING before and I have since done all that I can (unless someone at NCSoft reads this and wants to get in touch!)

Ok, didn't think the GR bit through - just read the update, more familiar with it now. Last minute attempt to involve GR failed.

Rethink - Still want 'Amalgam' type toons SG, so planning an MA arc where heroes are rescued from Noah's DNA extraction labs, and the follow up leads to Gene's experiments being found out. Gene is doing the research and experiments for the sake of good i.e. medicine, so when he becomes aware of Noah's actions, he throws his assistant out. Enraged, Noah sells the secrets.. who create an Amalgam type army, botched up, imperfect creations with the appearance and powers of spliced, superpowered heroes/villains. Gene is employed by a blue side company or organisation, to counteract the oncoming onslaught and creates a top notch team of Amalgam heroes.

Basically - I like the idea of playing as spliced up versions of other people's chars, with permission of course.

Kind of confused ideas by idealising a toon as 'Praetorian' - instead of just an Amalgam creation choosing sides. The blue side idea was weak, I admit. Maybe Gene's team could be made of both creations and altered existing chars.

I need to alter the thread title now!

I like the idea of bringing some 'Amalgam' type characters into the game, RP-wise and GR would be a opportunity, so here goes..

Dr. Eugene Splicer, Gene to his friends ((Gene Splicer?? Save the applause, please..)) is a chemist, physicist, theorist and surgeon. He 'sits on the fence', providing meds and assistance to both sides, red and blue', at minimal costs, just to cover his overheads, etc. He does this, mainly to ensure he can gather a large stock of DNA strands, aquired from patients, for his upcoming experimentation..

Basically, he ain't no Vahzilok.. he doesn't want profit or to build an army, etc. but..

Blue side? -> Paragon wants him or his research for medicine i.e. use a regen's DNA to heal Heroes on deaths door.

Red side? -> The Isles want him or his research purely to build an army of unstoppable beings, etc., etc.

Personally, I think he would go 'blue', but his assistant and 'supplier' - Noah Zark ((again, save the applause.. lol!)), is definately headed 'red side'.. Where does he get so many volunteers for the doctor? Hmm??

SG idea - The base is Gene Splicer's private hospital/lab.. Blue side run by the doctor, Red - by Noah.. ((Unless Preat SG are poss in GR?)). All the members are patients/ex-patients, somehow healed/altered by Gene's DNA therapy and treatments.. Once they leave the hospital though, their lives are their own, their paths chosen by themselves.. or follow the doctor? Or Noah? ((Needs work, I know.. ))

((N.B. Noah Zark AKA 'The Collector' - a zoologist and veterenarian, friend and assistant to Gene Splicer, helps him set up his hospital, met in med school before alting to vet, etc..))
