They aren't posted because people want to keep them secret, or they assume most other people already know, or that someone will have posted already.
If you learn something you think is new, share it. If you get a badge that you've only heard about word of mouth, post it. I posted the reply to the original BB plaque post because I knew nothing about the plaque in Nerva. If there's also one in St Mart, then that's another I havent heard about. I'm all about open communication, that's what this forum is for. -
There must be more you aren't telling us. That location has a History plaque. Clicking a single plaque never gives you a badge, and this one doesnt either. Are you a hero or villain? what other plaques have you visited recently? Did your source give you other locations? I have a theory, but I have yet to find the final piece of the puzzle. You need to post more complete info.

[Notice the might not count in my post you friggin idiot. The patch notes are a little vague. So I thought I'd mention it. Also newest patch is only from this morning.

I'm pretty sure that was uncalled for.
Aside from that, speculation should make at least some sense, and there really isnt any way to get from clickables will no long grant prestige to clickables that grant prestige no longer count for the badge. Yup patch notes were vague, and all you did was make it more vague. -
That is most definitely NOT what the patch note says.
Previously prestige was given on some presents when in SG mode. Now, it is not. The presents still count for Toy Collector, nothing has changed. I did all 3 of my toons in SG mode, and got the badge no problems. -
I've had good luck in Port Oakes and Bloody Bay. Really it's a question of time of day and number of other Present Seekers in the zone. I would recommend trying the following:
Broadcast asking for a shout out if you're hunting prezzies. If there are more than 1-2 others, find another zone.
Search for and memorize as much as you can for the entire zone, most hunters only work a segment of the zone, so if you run into a poacher, it becomes easier to modify your route to avoid that area until they get bored (most people move on after 10-15minutes).
Think out side the (gift-wrapped) box. Often there are sections of the zone that few people visit, yet contain several gifts close to each other. Fort Hades in Port oakes is a good example. I often had it to myself and that meant 4-6 presents per trip.
Just like clickies in missions, presents go womm womm. In city areas with many buildings, use your ears as well as your eyes, its often quicker to travel low and listen at first, instead of flying high and looking.
For dedicated badge hunters, doing your present hop in the PvP zones is worth it, even if you don't like PvP. It is something to occupy you for a large chunk toward the 5hr time badge. My hero got Gift Collector, Man in Black, Irradiated, Shivan Gladiator. If I had needed Tank Buster or the CoT mage badge, I could have spent time working on them as well (I didn't get Cold Warrior there because I didnt have access to my AE strike, I simply went into skyway afterwards and spent maybe 10minutes to get my snow men). It's pretty easy to avoid PvP, unless you get some real tool who persists in messing you up, but even then, just let the player take you out and get his jollies. No debt from that death, whereas if you run and get taken by a turret or NPC, thats a PvE death.
ETA- gotten the badge on 3 toons so far, and my eyes havent bled out yet, but I have gotten pretty efficient -
Fake Neme can be found in a few missions from Grant Naylor.
There are toons that look like PP on one task force, but I don't think they "count" -

Untouchable is in COV and there should be a progress bar for it. However, only your basic Consig. and Underbosses count for it, not all Family bosses.
[/ QUOTE ]
Incorrect, it should be any Family Boss that is not Marcone. -
Jet Setter/Longbow Reservist are from the jetpack login gift.
Scrooge/Holiday Spirit are from the contact mission.
Toy Collector is from opening the Gamester boxes.
Cold Warrior is from killing Winter Horde (naughty boxes). -
Sounds right to me. I've heard it both ways, but a system like you said would discourage raid bases and be essentially no penalty for PvE/Socail bases. Rent is rent, and they should lock you out if you don;t pay, facilities inside or now.
PS that may sound a bit harsher than I meant it. I just think if there's going to be rent at all, it should be equitable and effective across the board for both types of user. -
You dont get introduced to any of the unlockables, you just get the badge then go find them.

Thats a little better but still a pain. I'm not a real big fan of PvP.

Do what I did for most of the time. Avoid PvP and work on killbadges. -
Confirmed. However logging out or switching toons doesn't count as Zoning. 5 contiguous hours, but not 5 continuous hours. Good luck.
-
I agree, but note the title of the thread
-
I dunno about posted coords, but Vidiotmaps is accurate, and the plaque is on the inside surface of the wall of the complex.
-
Good to know, but this is a CoV thread
Our badge is Scrooge, btw. -

Finally got the Gangbuster badge. Took me a real long time and go back to PO mutiple times over teh course of 2-3 weeks. My advice on that badge would be to get a team and just go through PO killing everything, since the bosses seem to spawn more often if you also kill all their minions.
Now can anyone tell me how I go about getting Slot Machine as a contact now?
[/ QUOTE ]
If you have a team, don't even screw with Port Oakes, as has been said before, go to St Martial.
Now that you have the badge, there's nothing esle to worry about, just go and talk to the slot machine. -
All CoV only badges won't have a counter (Gangbuster is one)
All Kill badges in common with CoH will list as ??? and they fall in the sam order as in CoH. The only way to know which counter is for what is by referencing a full list. Knowing what you've killed so far (roughly) and making an educated guess. It's very hard at first, until you have a few badges under your belt as markers. I had so many counters <10% that its not funny. -

woot, im hunting them atm but there a pain to find somewhat lol

Did you even read what the OP and I said about getting Newspaper missions? Don't break your brain over this, do it the easy way. -
Great post. here are a couple of additions/corrections
Frost Demons are any type of Hordeling, not just the berserker.
Hammer down is not from 500 Scrappydos, it is from 100 of the guys that spawn near and around the ghost.
Cap au Diable is a good place to hunt for Gremlins as well as Frost Demons. Also, you can get Gearsmasher quite easily there. Many Clocky bosses spawn along the PTS and to the east of aeon city.
Sharkhead is good for hunting for Privateer, Silver Bullet, and the Sky Raider Engineer Gladiator badge.
Shivan Gladiator is not unlocked from Man in Black. It is granted from getting Irradiated, the Bloody Bay 5hr badge.
Skulls (badges above) and Hellions (Hellspawned) and Lost bosses (Finder) can all be gained by Newspaper missions that a lowbie can get in Port Oakes.
Gangbuster is quicker to get if you have some #0+ lvl friends, form a team, and go to the Jackpot sector of St Mart. Its still hard, but in a different way. Many more bosses to be found, but high lvl. Harder to kill, but worth it in terms of xps, infamy and enhancement drops.
Untouchable is still an unlockable badge in CoV. It is from non Marcone Family bosses, while Gangbuster is from Marcone. Huntable in Oakes (rare) or Sharl (less rare but very uncommon)
Embalmed Vahzilok (gravedigger) exist in Port Oakes, but it's easier to get them from a mission. Today we used the same mission that grants the Mask Maker badge, and it worked like a charm. (not available from the newspapers afaik)
Like I hinted at above, Newspaper mission farming is the easiest way to get several of these badges. Find someone of the correct lvl to get a given mission, and have them check the newspaper over and over until they find the right mob. Full groups that just clear, rinse repeat until everyone has the badge work best. Missions to Steal are best, since all you need to do to prevent success is not hit the clicky. -
When people talk about the movement boost from Hurdle, they mean moving forward while jumping. It does not increas your run speed if you stay flat on the ground, but you will move forward faster if you leap everywhere with Hurdle.
-
Most I've seen there are 2-3 at a time.
Ask myself... do I want to rip through 5-10 L15 minions and LTs that I can 1 shot per trip up and down the coast, or do I want to 3-4shot a few L20+ bosses at a time?
Not saying it to be snarky, I just know most people want the fastest route when it comes to these large count kill badges. -
Got the Coldhearted badge, and the Hellfrost gladiator last night. Kill 250 Frost Demons (Hordeling Lasher, Hordeling Hurler, Hordeling Berserker, Hellfrost, and Blade Prince, according to the patch notes). I did this along the northern shore of Cap au Diable. If you're working on Electrician too, you can kill 2 birds with 1 stone.

[quoteWell, with some practice you will figure out how close they need to be.
[/ QUOTE ]
Yes, well my point AGAIN was that a visible indicator would be nice, so that we wouldn't have to go through the frustration of "practice" It's just a quality of life thing. It's not even farfetched to say that the field of the trap would interact with the ectoplasm and make the ghost glow. -
There are 6 locations for Gremlins, 3 in the north, 3 in the south. Follow the PTS pipes. In the north, continue following the line of the PTS pipe westerly, and hop over the forest. The pipe comes out again at a Luddite Farm, and there is the 6th gremlin spot (which I have found to be the most plentiful one for me)
