Very cool man! I can see what you mean about his face, the squatting I don't think is so bad. The lines, which are supposed to make him look angry, just age him a bit, overall though a really sweet piece! Make sure when it's done you remember to introduce!!!

She looks pretty cool. I like what you did with the alphabet blocks. I can see your problem with hands. If you have a female friend, try taking pictures of her hands in the same position and drawing them using it as a reference. Also her right foot and calf looks odd that way. I think it would be better if you were seeing the top of the calf and foot, like it was lying on it's side.
