I'm loving the trials and the grind, because that's what I find enjoyable in MMOs -- a lot of work for a good payoff. CoH never kept my interest for more than a couple of months out of each year due to the lack of any true endgame, now I'm truly enjoying this game for the longterm for the first time.

Not sure I understand the justifications of the Lore slot. These aren't actual seers/warworks/ect that comes out to help our characters -- they're essences we're drawing from the Well.
It has nothing to do with a character concept at all, since any past history would be updated by becoming an Incarnate. These are powers granted outside our original concepts. -
City of Heroes has always been that game I would play for a month or two, then quit. This cycle repeated itself every year or so. Never before has this game kept my attention for so long and that's purely due to my enjoyment of the Incarnate system.
So for me, with any MMO, it's about the destination. When I got my Controller the very rare Alpha slot it was the best feeling I've had playing COH, even though I felt it was a bit too easy to do. I'd love to see the later slots be even harder/longer to complete. -
Quote:Out of curiosity, what was the outcome of that? I mean, did anyone call them out?The other day I was doing an STF and we had a widow on the team who only had one attack.
Oh sure, they were level 50. And had other powers. But only one of them was an attack. They had the entire leadership pool, and all the powers you could think of, but not attacks. In combat, they just stood there. Looking pretty.
