The camera is turned on Requiem when Silos states "The catalyst that brings about the unraveling of the cosmos starts here!". We know from To Save a Thousand Worlds that Requiem has the ability to conquer an entire planet with his legion of Nictus, and also can tamper with dimensional stability. That isn't to say Requiem is necessarily correlated with that line, but it's notable.
[/ QUOTE ]
Requiem says something very interesting when he defeats an opponent in the Oroboros mission:
'You are out of Time, (opponentname).'
Why capitalise the T in Time? Why say that to a downed opponent at all? -
[ QUOTE ]
That was Constellation. He posted way back in the day on the CoV General board and mentioned how he needed to take a break after writing those missions and get his mind off them.
[/ QUOTE ]
For some reason I got it into my head that Hero 1 was the same person as Constellation. Not sure why. -
[ QUOTE ]
It was funny sitting in on the voice session because we (Positron and I) had initially wanted a more “Prussian” sounding voice (for reasons many of you already know).
[/ QUOTE ]
And now EVERYONE knows.
Welcome on board, fellow British person. Was it you who wrote the Westin Phipps arcs, too? -
[ QUOTE ]
For heros at least Fire Lotus (or whatever her name is, the NPC you rescue in Outbreak)
[/ QUOTE ]
Flower Knight.
If you get to Ouroboros before anyone else, you hear the dialogue between her and the Mender:
Flower Knight: Orogolos?
Mender: It's pronounced Or-O-Bor-Os.
[ QUOTE ]
Seems Silos attempts at stopping the destruction in his future is wreaking havoc with the timeline and possibly causing the event to begin with (a pretty standard time-travel theory, that you can't alter the past and anything you do actually just guarantees the major events of the present still occur).
[/ QUOTE ]
... or she could be at Ouroboros so she can be sent back to when you do Outbreak, to make sure it actually works 'this time', which is really next time, which is really the first time. Which of course it does.
(Wibbly wobbly timey wimey) -
I loved that line about 'your precious badges'.

[ QUOTE ]
I think you had him at "tied to a chair."
[/ QUOTE ]
We took it to PMs after that. -
[ QUOTE ]
It sure does! Thanks to all for the kind words.
[/ QUOTE ]
*ties Manticore to a chair*
And now, Meeester Fish, you will tell us all!
... about the story bible and the fifth column and the butt kicking reichsman and the evil kheldians and who ms. liberty's father is and what incarnates actually are and what happened to Weaver One and what you and Recluse were up to in Bogota and who the Coming Storm are and whether there'll ever be a sighting of the Battalion and and and -
[ QUOTE ]
Please keep in mind that Mr. Fish's day job is still on the as yet unannounced MMO project at NCsoft North American Headquarters in Austin, TX. However, we are very happy to have him more closely collaborating with the City of Heroes team!
[/ QUOTE ]
Does this mean he'll be able to post here, LH? -
ZOMG YES.
I have a zillion questions for Manticore, but I shall contain myself for now. -
[ QUOTE ]
All of those things that we've had to push back or write off as taking too many resources to get done in the limited time frames and limited manpower. All of the bugs or QoL issues that have been lingering for what seems like forever because the programmers were too busy fixing the major bugs. All of those really big pie in the sky ideas that we've dreamed about for so long and couldn't do because there was no one who could implement them...that's all back on the table. The sky is literally the limit.
[/ QUOTE ]
... I could listen to you talk like this all day. -
[ QUOTE ]
Yes indeed, I am aware. I presume you are aware that Shields are NOT coming "as well as" WEillpower in Issue 11, despite the fact that Shields were offered along with Dual Blades in the poll and Shields beat out Willpower in the polling?
[/ QUOTE ]
Was the poll 'which powersets would you like', or was it 'which would you like NEXT'? -
Hey, I just realised. Everyone in all of CoX will be able to access supergroup bases now.
Maybe Issue 12 will have some cool base stuff in it. -
[ QUOTE ]
To everyone who's worried about NCSoft mismanaging COH and turning it into Lineage, can I point to Guild Wars?
[/ QUOTE ]
Dear New NCSoft Overlords,
PVP SERVER WITH AUTOLEVEL TO 50 PLZ
love, some of your players -
[ QUOTE ]
NCsoft as a corporate culture believes that studio culture should be determined by that studio. If anything the project may see a sharing of resources of some of our other award winning and current titles.
[/ QUOTE ]
What sort of resources, Ex? -
Oh, THAT explains how come they were able to bring the Fifth Column back!
... kidding. -
I'm going to miss Statesman.
But congrats to everyone who made the move. -
[ QUOTE ]
Okay, so it would take longer. Fine. Take the time, and give us what we asked for.
[/ QUOTE ]
They are. Shields are coming as well as Willpower, not instead of.
Or were you not aware of that? -
[ QUOTE ]
and of course, another I11 puzzle was in the Times.
Linky
[/ QUOTE ]
The volume on the front cover is given as Vol. XIXXI, when previously it was Vol. I. That isn't even a proper roman numeral. Maybe it's significant. -
So... if we can only create a door to the Ouroboros Citadel after we've been exposed to time travel, and we can only time travel by going to the Ouroboros Citadel, how do we get exposed to time travel in the first place?
-
[ QUOTE ]
It also mentioned knockback IOs. I thought we weren't going to get any of those.
[/ QUOTE ]
That specified no REDUCE Knockback IOs. -
'He told me that once a character was exposed to time travel, they receive a temporary power that allows them to open a door to a new area, the Oroboros Citadel.'
THE DOOR COMES TO THOSE WHO HAVE TRAVELED. -
Heads up, gang. Lighthouse just posted an Issue 11 FAQ in the City Life section with some new information.

[ QUOTE ]
What is a Main-gauche?
[/ QUOTE ]
The literal translation is 'left hand'. It's a dagger you hold in your off hand. The Carnie version is presumably the same fiery psychic style as the rapier.
[ QUOTE ]
A Faer Dagger?
[/ QUOTE ]
I think Castle meant 'faery'. So he'd have a Good Fey dagger in one hand and a Bad Fey dagger in the other.
[ QUOTE ]
Dragon Dagger?
[/ QUOTE ]
No clue on that one! -
[ QUOTE ]
If you have to wait till lvl 30-35 to get weapons like Vangaurd energy claw
[/ QUOTE ]
So far, the Vanguard claws and railgun are the ONLY options that would require you to be level 35, because you have to be level 35 to get Merits in the first place. That fits with Vanguard armour and other Vanguard rewards being limited to over 35s.
But a level 1 character could get the Carnie or Red Cap weapons, simply by sidekicking up to a higher level character and going on a hunt. You're not locked out of them by level. -
[ QUOTE ]
Couple of remarks......I read the alternate weapons will be unlocked from badges.
[/ QUOTE ]
No, SOME of the alternate weapons will be unlocked from badges.
