I won't be here Monday anyway, being admitted to hospital. Should only be for a few days.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Oh dear Carni, hope everything's okay

    [/ QUOTE ]

Hah! That means "admitted to hospital" means what i understand. I hope everything works out fine, mate and you get well soon.
  2. This weekend we are on Union and probably will continue either Curse's DE missions or Mereman's RWZ missions.

Hopefully we will reach level 41 then i will respec Curse for last time. I will probably leave out following powers: Group invisibility/decieve/thaw or forge (which one is giving damage boost) and first debuff from thermal and possibly recall friend which i never use. Will include: Two thermal shields, hasten
  3. [ QUOTE ]
    Prehistoric I think I'll go for a Plant/Emp Shaman.

Cyberpunk I think a monoblade Katana / Regen through cybernetic implants scrapper is the cyberpunk staple I'd like to try (Willpower would probably be even better but I already have a Claws/WP Scrapper and a Dark/WP brute). Might go Katana/SR instead though.

But I'd prefer to stick with one for the mo and roll the other two later on.

Oh, and with a Dark Defender, a Sonic Controller and either a Rad or Cold Defender I think our [censored] are well covered in terms of healing, even with me as the Idiot Tank.

    "Me enemies taunt good"

    [/ QUOTE ]

In a same team, yes. As we will begin with two teams i think we better decide who will be on which team, team leaders etc. I prefer formulating teams around the tanks and as we have one so far i can't give any ideas about who will be in which team and what that team lacks.

Maybe it will looks like out of concept with current medieval theme but in tune with general idea of the team. If you like your toon too much Herczeg, i say save it for now. If we will have some other non-medieval toons (like prehistoric and futuristic ones like yours) we can make it a mixed team and it will repersenets idea of SG better.

Also i liked your pick, if i have to fall back to healer role you can assume your hide is safe.

    [/ QUOTE ]

oh for gods sake... how's a wolf-headed knight traveled forth from the 14th century with a giant rifle count as futuristic. he's just as medieval as any of you guys exept he's not wielding a blade or not casting magic, he saw how cool these firearms are in the 21st and decided to get one for himself.
futuristic riflemen are all like 'omg lazer pew pew!!'
and still we arguing about nothing as i wont play him
(exept if we turn out to be short on dmg)

and dont you dare to roll a healer, cos i wont have you whining again about how you hate your toon becos you dont like healing

    [/ QUOTE ]

Curse is not about healing it is about being something very close to a dedicated empath. I wish happiness to all illusion controller players but for me that set is dull. Playing Curse is also made me realize that i also can't play a Mastermind.

Decide which one you prefer more and let us know 'till the weekend.

Also if everyone can take their heroes to level 3 before Monday meeting at 20:00 it will be cool as it will give us more inspiration slots which means a swifter sewer run. (If we will enter the sewers tho', if not keep them as they are)
  5. If everyone can post their characters and we decide SG name, i can't see a reason why we shouldn't start on next Monday. Also need to decide teams as there will be two teams depending on the people wanted to join so far.

Hmm also i liked your idea False. Some of us did this a couple of pages ago and if everyone is happy with their time/AT match we can pick which one is needed for teams. Like; Herczeg's futuristic blaster, your prehistoric Warshade and Carni's medieval tanker. We can use others in future teams so everyone will be happy... i guess.

I don't think rifle could fit in medieval age, mate.

    [/ QUOTE ]

but...but... he has chainmail on and he calls the girls wenches! how can he be more medieval? i cant see if a knight can use a train (oh, now you tell me you wont use the trains?) why cant use a rifle. its not that complicated.
but that's just me complaining. i already said i wont play him. i'll roll a defender or a tank, dependeing on which AT are we short on...

    "Eternal Guardians of Justice"

    [/ QUOTE ]

    lame.
how about leftovers? you know.. left over the centuries...
okay this one is lame too...

    [/ QUOTE ]

Hey show some respect to the wenches. You know i already rolled a toon named "Leeching Wench" for evil version of Flying Circus. (I know it is still too far ahead but i didn't want my beautiful name to be taken)

  8. I also see Vampires, Golems, Fairies (elves, nixies, goblins), giants, dragons, werewolves, ancient gods or demons in concept with medieval setting, also their half breed off-springs.

Name is really hard thing to find, i keep changing my SG name untill i come up with something i like. As we are going time traveling group of indivudals i think "Eternal Guardians of Justice" works well.

If i have to put things in a background story: Let's say everything started with a knight (good example of Medieval heroes)... named Sir. Evenhand. One day our good Sir fell into a whirling pool of water whie figthing a cabal of evil witches/mages. He lost his conciousness and wake up into a strange place, where metal shapeless creatures flying in the sky and men riding that loudy creatures. After series of adventures our hero find his back to his correct time line. During his time shifting adventures he met various people in different shapes and times. Only thing is common between those is their sense of justice, compassion for humanity and their faith in goodness. He decides to gather those good hearted people and protect what they believe; Goodness, Justice and Humanity. Then "Knightly Order of Eternity" born. Even they are too many in numbers few decided to stay in Paragon City and protect earth from alien invaders, demon worshiping mages and many other forms of evilness.
  9. Go for demonic look ^_^

Half-demon with fire attacks and maybe with dark shield probably look cool. Don't know which boosters you have but you can be another version of my Infernal Justice half demon hero.

Face: Reptilian, spikey or swift hair, pale blue (this can be shade of red or orange in your case) skin, demon ears
Upper Body: Reptilian, monterous claws or wristbands or tied/wrapped hands, valkyrie belt or simply chain (one with the cloth)
Lower Body: Choose which ever you desire (Medieval, rough leather, armor plates, valkyrie), valkyrie boots or folded boots with rough leather/matte texture. (mine is wearing stealth with black/bright red coloring tho')
Back Detial: bat wings (after 20 you can change them with Dragon or burned ones for flying outside missions, like increasing your wing mass for preaparing to fly)
  10. My little demon says you should go for a Rad or Cold defender.

Seriously, all things you said is fine. Let's wait for others' responses so we can decide what to roll. I really liked how my heroes look so if i can't get two others in for this teams i can roll them and join the SG and solo with them.
  11. My favorite 3:
CoT: They are mages with demons and ghosts, what's not to like.
Hellions: They look cool and fun to kick their behind.
Red Caps: They mostly drive me crazy but they are funny.

    My least favorites:
Nemesis: Immune to most mind control tricks and too much AoE powers.
Knives of Artemis: Never been a fan of lunatic women.
Cabal: I really hate those witches with hurricane, end. draining electricity attacks topped with Lightning Storms. Meh, i know better ways to torture myself.
  12. Finally I am at the office again. Funny thing is my home computer way too much better than my office one but this one seems get along better with forums (it doesn't run CoH tho').

I gathered data posted so far and here we have those players interested:
    1- False Fiction
    2- Knightly
    3- Xemulas
    4- Kindeller
    5- Cynic
    6- Carnifax
    7- Uther Dracus
    8- Sapphic Neko
    9- Heyman
    10- TRT
    11- Herczeg
    12- Steel Dancer

So far so good. We can start with two 6 men team. As we still have couple of days ahead to Monday it can be more i hope. Also if you ask my personal opinion 6 men team is fine, we can fill with online players and present a solution to people who have hard time finding teams.

Two teams means we need some basic ATs in pairs. So far we have one tanker. I already saved couple of character ideas as costumes so i can be second tank with my flesh golem, second scrapper with my vampire rogue, another controller/healer with my Mind/FF or Mind/Empath. If everyone can post(undecided ones) we can decide teams' line up.

I think so far we have:
    1- False Fiction: TBA
    2- Knightly: Versatile
    3- Xemulas: Controller (Buffer/Debuffer)
    4- Kindeller: Controller(Healer)
    5- Cynic: Defender (Debuffer)
    6- Carnifax: Tanker
    7- Uther Dracus: Blaster
    8- Sapphic Neko: TBA
    9- Heyman: TBA
    10- TRT: TBA
    11- Herczeg: TBA
    12- Steel Dancer: Scrapper

By the way, False when you hit level 10 you can start SG so we better decide the name of the SG. Throw in your suggestions, ladies and gentlemen.

Thanks everyone for interest. We still have space so if you want to join this Medieval madness you are very welcome.

    Highest Regards,

    Knightly
  13. Heh i thought, a Medieval team ain't complete without a rogue and rolled DB/Regen scrapper named Duke of Shadows. Yeah, yeah i know SR is better fit the concept but i already have one SR scrapper and wanted him to be a bit different than other rogues... hmmm maybe should change secondary to Inv but that one is too endurance heavy for my taste.

Edit: A line up needed i guess, so here it is:

    1- Earth/Sonic troller by Xem
2- Ice/Fire blaster by Uther Dracus
    3- Shield/Fire tanker by Carnifax
    4- Dark/* defender by Cynic
    5- DB/Regen scrapper by Knightly

so as all basic ATs covered others are free to roll whatever they wish. If someone more successfull with scrappers want to roll a scrapper (yeah i am looking at you Neko ) feel free so i can change back to Kahin (Diviner in English) and happy with bubble you up.
  14. For the sake of confirming:

Time and day also fine for me. I've rolled a Mind/FF controller for now but if team will need a tougher one i can try to roll a Broadsword/Shield or DB/* scrapper which i will probably crappiest scrapper you have ever seen.

You can sign me up for this one with
    Uther Dracus – 50 Scrapper broadsword/ Dark
I have also acted as yellow team leader on a few raids to if that would be a help.
Uther's 2nd build is still set up for the raid.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Brilliant Since issue 9? Would you fancy doing it again? It would be great to have a leader of a team who has done it a few times so that would be great.

    [ QUOTE ]

I've never done a Hami Raid before so if you need a n00b in your team sign me up for this.

    [/ QUOTE ]

everybody is new once, and even Hammi vets could be the same as "noobs" with this as the changes are so durastic. You'll be fine bud

    [ QUOTE ]

I think Araf made Steel Canyon Safeguard. Also i have a level 22 tank and level 20 Scrapper who can take Steel Safeguard if others need it, just let me know, via Defiant Events or forums or in game tell.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I may just do that at some point. It'll have to be on the saturday however due to the lasting time, if thats okay with you. If just one person has the TP team, it'll make fast rezzing very quick when we all die! (which we will at 75%, 50% and 25%)

    [/ QUOTE ]

As today is bank holiday in here i am at home and can get Steel bank on my scrapper (tank is level 25 ) and save it for you as i already have team tp on him. Send me tell whenever you are available on Saturday.

Edit: PS: Also will activate Araf's second build for getting rez from Med pool and recall friend. Also will leave Fulcrum shift out of build. If you need any specific power from Kin or Mind that i skipped (Mass Dominate, Telekinesis, Repel and that jumpy power from kinetics) let me know i will include them.
  16. As today i am at home and forum software already ate up my two earlier long post i am now attempting last and short one.

As Dracus said Monday nights looks okay for everyone if all want to run it one night.

Looks like we already have a team for Medieval setting we can give it a go as soon as we decide who will play which AT/Set and playing time.

From what I've seen so far i can say 20:00-22:30 BST is looking solid and nice. This will give both Carni and Cynic a chance to tag along. Also we can pact with their characters so they won't loose xp and fall behind of the team.

For Neko's question; i think as we have nearly a full team it will be wise to run Medieval setting first. When we reach higher levels and get tired of Medieval heroes we can roll a new team with one of the other concepts and run it simultaneously to the Medieval team.
  17. Let me add in case we don't have enough people to start teams:

Prehistoric: Inv/Mace(I hope this is the one which has bone as a weapon choice) Tanker

Cyberpunk maybe an alien race, a Mind or Fire/Sonic controller or Cold/Ice defender or Fire/EM tank.

For your time problem Carnifax, if we will decide to start earlier than 20:30, i can pact with you so you won't be left behind too much of the team.

Edit: Me and my stupid brain tried to fix it for people to understand last part.
  18. I've never done a Hami Raid before so if you need a n00b in your team sign me up for this.

My only level 50 (in other words only one 45+) is my controller:

Araf; Mind Control/Kinetics/Earth Controller (Pool Powers: Flight, Fitness and Concealment (Stealth/Invisibility/Phase Shift))

I think Araf made Steel Canyon Safeguard. Also i have a level 22 tank and level 20 Scrapper who can take Steel Safeguard if others need it, just let me know, via Defiant Events or forums or in game tell.
  19. Nice to see many people are interested in this idea.

If we can set times it will be better for people to decide if they can join their desired teams or not. So my request is: can everyone post their most desired team, AT/Sets and free times to play? Then we can set a certain day of week which is suitable for everyone. Like my following example:

Medieval Team; Controller (Mind/FF or Empath depending on team need), Every evening 19:00 BST except Fridays and Saturdays.

PS: Also i will ask some friends in game and see if they will interest in this SG idea.

    Have Fun,

    K
  20. Tribal sounds fun. Spring another idea into my mind... A time traveling SG. Consists several regular teams in different concepts: Medieval, Tribal and Futuristic (like androids, hi-tech armor wearing heroes, alien races and mutants, sans magic origin). Every team designates a week night or two so people who wants to join more than one team can join both, or people who are already a part of a regular team can join one of the teams which doesn't clash with his/her ongoing team.

If this come reality and all teams can have full teams we can do in SG contests, like more successfull Statesman TF run (less time and less deaths maybe) or MS raid or Hami Raid.

For your information, i have my friday and saturday nights full with Infernal Justice and Flying Circus teams but available other nights.
  21. As I said last night, I've been thinking about starting a new regular team but too lazy to post something. Here is two ideas i had in my head.

1- Superteam: You know people running fire/rad, fire/kin or other kind of super teams. I personally don't like that same AT/set teams. What makes this game is versality between team builds. So this Superteam will consist at least one of the 5 basic ATs (Blaster, Controller, Defender, Scrapper and Tanker) other 3 is free for others to fill when first 5 settled. Think this as challanging Freedom Phalanx.

2- Medieval Team: On this team science and technology origins left out. Some sets as well, like Devices. This team idea originates from time travelling ancient society where magic and magical creatures were a part of everyday life. Actually if your hero is a mutant it is considered as a magical creature or human/<enter magical creature here; like dragons, faires or minatours> hybrids.
  22. Well, first of all let me say I found your heroes' name quite entertaining. My favorite is Hey Horny

    Okay the real answer:

I am new to Defiant but nearly 2 year veteran (hmm should check when i get that new vet award) player. Left Union farms and moved to city of Defiant.

    Here's my current heroes:

    Araf 50 Mind/Kin Controller
    Subsoil Warden 21 (or 22) WP/Stone Tanker
    Stray-Cat 15 Claws/SR Scrapper
    Battle Sorcerer 15 Nrg/Mental Blaster
Toxic Stinger 4 Rad/Elec Defender (yeah, I know I am too lazy to change that signature)
All of those heroes belong to my SG: Defiant Boys

Also have (Doh! I forgot that toons name again) level 16 blaster belongs to Flying Circus and if i won't delete a lowbie corruptor.

My favorite? I like Task Forces and Trials. If your question is about favorite AT/combo well my favorite set is Mind Control but not like all controller sets.
Least favorite? I don't like Farming, elitists, blind invites and many other things. For AT it is scrappers and all villian ATs as i am a villian side virgin.

    See you in game.
  23. [ QUOTE ]
    @Mereman

    [/ QUOTE ]

*sigh* This old man again. He is doing my all SG invites already and I am very thankfull for that.

I think I will spare my next two mind troller ideas so first I need to think something to roll.
  24. My favorite is two firbolgs and telephone dialog in Croatoa. It makes me smile everytime i see them and often stop and listen their talking. Sorry can't remember exact lines but you can see them near the station on first or second alley in the main road leading to Gordon Bower.
  25. Thanks, Sarg. Thanks to you and other great teams on Defiant reaching the big 50 wasn't that hard.

I am looking forward for Eden Trial and yeah I love to accompany you on Infernal Justice.
