  1. Don't know if it will have any bearing on your decision, but Devil's Chant was very effective in our team the other night, and the rest were rather disappointed when you left.

    Ice/Empath

I tried an Ice/Empath for a few days, and it didnt work the way I was expecting, as Shinro said, I was healing more than anything else, which was not what I wanted, since I wanted to specialize in holds.

I have since rolled an Ice/Storm and even at the low levels (currently level 9) I am having a lot more fun, and my team mates tend to appreciate the holds more than they did the second rate healing. I have a feeling that this one will reach level 50 =)

    Ice/Empath

    Hi

I am still pretty new to CoH, and have been experimenting with different AT's and skill sets. I am thinking of creating a Ice/Empath controller, and have searched the forums only to find no information on this skill set. Is it that bad? or just unpopular?

I have looked at the skills and like the idea of holds/healing is there a more efficient way of doing that than /empathy?

I might also be missing the point of a controller completely, I am looking at it as a support/support or support/heal class, and not really into massive damage the way a blaster is.
  4. I also felt guilty the other day, not because of who I healed, but my choice in skills. My empath was level8 and I was the only empath in the team of 8 and they kept calling for CM, to which I replied I didnt have it, I chose res. They were ok with it in the end, but said they would have preferred CM. I am new to the game, and even newer to empath's and I am trying to choose my skills to aid my team more, but without making life too hard for myself (like taking a heal skill instead of a travel pool for instance) *as a side note: I usually made the melee class of the group priority, tank taking preference, casters shouldn't be in the thick of things imo*
