Ok, there's another thread on the go in regards to... some people's dissapointment about "requesting" art. I'm making this thread to try to right things.

This community is the one that got me started back up into art, and I'm hoping that someting like this doesn't rock people's faith in each other.

With that in mind, if you've ordered and paid for art from someone (particularly THAT someone), this would be the place to put your character name and maybe a screenie or two.

This is not a massive art giveaway.

This is not an attack on THAT person.

This IS a move to have the forum continue in its positive direction.

If you are on "that list", post here. If you're not, consider grabbing some of the screenies and making up soe art yourself.

Hey PowerPlay, I just wanted to say "thanks for sharing" and I kow it's a sour feeling when you're not happy with a product.

1. I honestly don't think that Gill was copying any Wolverine shots. I've drawn a number of "clawed scrappers" and it's VERY easy to fall into the "wolvie vibe" when plotting it out. Trying to show a figure with claws out... and not making it look like wolverine, it quite hard actually. Heck, even girls can sometimes take on that vibe.

2. It's obvious that Gill is not able to complete your prize (for whatever reason). So, in the spirit of forum harmony, I did up this Patriotic Pose for ya. It's not at Gill's level, but maybe you'll accept it as your prize instead.

Jack is inspired by Nick Fury, obviously... as well as Ben Santini, John Lynch, James Bond, Backlash and the Dos Equis "most interesting man in the world"... and I did in fact get the name for the SG, SCORPIO, from Nick's brother and son, who both became the villain known as Scorpio at different points.

I thought it was cool.

As for the art... yeah, I love it! Though I hadn't realized that it was finished... I had a few minor issues. *ducks*

Not sure if you guys noice or not, but I rarely do "inks". I just... don't get 'em.

But, being who i am, I always try to break past any barriers.

Look at the responders in said thread. Click on their DeviantArt link. Admire their prowess.

Add more info to your post. Add some screenshots, and what you are looking for in a commission (b/w, color, backgrounds etc)

I think folks have been waiting a long time for their artwork and really aren't liking the lack of communication....which is understandable. Let's also keep in mind that up until 2 months ago Jomaro/GIll was posting new artwork on his site, and folks were thrilled at their pieces. So it's only been 60 days since he posted anything new and has been having trouble keeping in contact.

We don't know what's going on so without a message or some kind our minds wander and jump to the worst. So right now everyone who has a commission is in flux and we simply don't know what's happening. All we can do now is wait for a answer of some type.

Yeah, I think that is where the problem lies. It's been stated again and again that people are confused and "bothered" by the lack of communication. We all know, there is NO problem with the quality of art that he comes out with.

This thread does not need to be about lynching Gill... nor does there need to be any name-calling and such. But if people want to chime in and say "hey, I've paid for this piece months/years ago, and have yet to hear anything back", then I think they're within their rights.

It's a fairly supportive community.. and I've always liked that about this forum. But that means we support ALL of us, artists and collectors alike.

If some collectors are feeling out of sorts, I'm cool with them posting about it - so long as it stays civil and constructive.

And there in lies the problem.

The problem is NOT that it takes a certain amount oftime to get a piece done. And it's definately NOT the quality (Gill's work is outstanding).

It's the fact that people don't know what's happening.

So Gill, if you can read this but can't post, email me at efoychuk@hotmail.com and I'll post it up here (on the off chance your account is busted).

I've reffered a lot of people his way (if it's too tough a project for me), and I'm starting to worry about that.
