Only issue with that I can see is sometimes what a team brings in this type of tourney, INS related, is extremely strategy based and I wouldn't want to jeopardize that.

If any INS swapping occurs or needs to.... I feel more comfortable (and I think the captains would too) if that is handled between PvPEC officals and teams.

I will be moderating and officiating the tourney in pocket D. Teams are not required to all be in pocket d as long as the matches start on time and each round goes smoothly. I assume many teams will prob be in pocket D though since everyone has mixed teams.

As far as INS swapping goes... I do not have the time or manpower to INS swap with every teammate on every team that signs up prior to each match. Part of using tier 1 INS is a honor system. However, if a team suspects that another team broke the rules... I will intercede and police the matter fully.

How I do that will be decided on a case by case basis.

Thats too bad... Most tourneys are SHW division in order to incorporate all facets of the game. I am not sure what lvl your team was, but we can definately suggest a lower lvl tourney for the future. PM me your suggestions and we can work from there.

SHW does range from lvl 47-50... so if you are within that range you can participate. I will caution that almost all toons in the tourney will have reached lvl 50 and many teams will also be fully accoladed.

Also, I would like to encourage some of you without teams to contact and send a PMs to each other currently without a team. You guys can definately form a team together and enter the tourney.

Unfortunately, there will not be a draft to form teams at a later point (like there was in the TPvPL). But I will try and help as many people as I can.

Furthermore, another clarification... Just cause I can see an exploitation here or loophole based on what i just said.

If a player zones into the match and is ready, thus eliciting the all in from the captain of their team, but D/Cs during the match (or while fighting), your captain CAN NOT call his match reset at that time.

If I allow this... then I can see a team calling a reset if they start losing and its 4 min into the match.

So to further clarify...

Captains can only use their "1 reset option" before the 9 min mark of the match. Once 9 min elapses, the fight officially starts.

Those 2 statements could be a bit more clear, but I think I understand what you're saying.

This was put in place more as a safe guard. I probably should have been a bit clearer here.

In essence... any team may call one reset for the match for any reason. Teams are only allowed to do this once. This rule was designed in case a team mate or multiple team mates DC'd upon loading into the map or arena. The arena has always been buggy and I would hate to see a team suffer due to these random bugs.

I suggested the 1 min rule because sometimes people are slow loaders and could take 30 secs to load into a match. It would not be fair for a fast loading team to run straight toward your teams starting point and attack before your whole team is in the map.

So here are the two rules simplified:
1. Both captains must call all in before engaging.
2. Either captain may call a reset of the match for any reason, but may only do this once a round.
3. If a team does not call all in by the 9 min mark AND does not call a reset of the match (or has already used their 1 reset), than the opposing team may engage and start the match.
