  2. Thanks for all the compliments everyone! I'm the artist that did Patriot America, and you can go to my myspace page to see more art (my username here is the key). And here's a link to my girlfriend's character that I did, which inspired Patriot to get his done: http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y55...dios/Azyra.jpg

I do take commissions so if anyone is interested, email me!

  3. You've taken my point to the next level. That's pretty much exactly what I was touching at. My main toon, Atomic Blast Man, is the design of a hero I created 12 years ago, and have drawn on occasion ever since, of course he has gone through several costume changes... But the point is, seeing him in three dimensions, flinging balls of fire, flying around between buildings and orbitting the statue of atlas, takes me back to feeling like that kid again, only now I can see my hero in his full glory.

I think that's one of the best parts for anyone who's not a kid, seeing your childhood come to life right in front of your face. As an artist, it's like seeing my drawings come to life and dance around for me, then give me inspiration to return my hero to paper, but even better yet.
  4. To be honest, when I first started looking through the forums, I was expected art that looked like 3rd grader did it, and everyone would rant and rave about it's greatness. While that's well and good, honesty and constructive criticism go a lot farther, and that's something I've seen here, as well as real talent.

The artists that post here really do amaze me, it's a gathering of people that don't post here because they're artist, they post here because they're sharing the same common ground interest we all have, an apparent love of the flair of comic book heroes. I'm one of the artists that post here, and I know the reason mentioned is why I show my work here.

Thanks to everyone for all the encouragement, and thanks to the other artists for showing your talents as well.
  5. No problem Veras, like I said, I understand the spot you're in, and I hope I brought a little inspiration to ya to get drawin!
  6. Thanks for all the compliments everyone! I really appreciate it!! I've got a three day weekend coming up and plan to do a lot of drawing, so anyone who would like to hit me up for a commission (i'm cheap!) get on me by the end of friday and i can have it done for you by the end of monday! Thanks!!
  7. Hmm... I have always wanted the pencils in the volcano in my name... you're off to a good start!!
  8. You might be able to persuade me whiteperegrine, so get to the persuadin!! hehe

And Cuppa Zekiran, I agree, and for this subject matter, it's great to use it because it's a comic character, and i love that style. To be honest, I haven't drawn much in a real comic style in a quite some time, was great to get back to it.
  9. Some of you may have seen my pencil drawing of Atomic Blast Man recently, and tonight I took the time to do a quick coloring, and slapped in a blurred screenshot of atlas park for a background. Take a look at the Colored Atomic Blast Man. Let me know what ya think!!
  10. Veras_Q, I know the feeling of being an artist stuck in a rut. My life had been at a stand still for a while, but lately it seems to have picked up a touch, and I've been cranking out drawings moreso than usual. So, given I understand your perspective, I decided to do a quick sketch of End of Man . I hope you like it.

    New art from me!

So I was looking through old artwork, I mean old stuff. And I came across the first drawing of Atomic Blast Man EVER. In 7th grade we had to do a poster promoting recycling, and I was just getting into comic books around then, and I wanted to do my poster based on a homemade superhero. Atomic Blast Man was born in October of 1993, I was all of 13 years old then, and this is the result.

Good to see I've grown since then, hehe.

    New art from me!

Well thanks for the support so far everyone!! I'd like to do some of your characters, and I just might today (if I don't get too caught up in actually playing, hehe). If not today, I might do a couple as I get the time throughout the week.

    Thanks again!

    New art from me!

I just spent a week in Memphis, TN, and for the first time in a while I had a lot of time to draw, so I did a bunch of heroes. The first one is a hero I made up on CoH, the rest are all heroes I originally created waaaaay back in 7th grade (about 12 years ago now), but I play Atomic on Liberty quite a bit.

  16. Hey everyone, this is my first post here...

I did a cartoony drawing of my main villain I play on Liberty, DoomBot v129.81

    Tell me what you think:

If you like it, I do take commissions, I also do realistic digital painting as well as comic style. If you want to see more of my stuff email me and I'll provide the link (some of it nsfw, so I don't want to post up a link just in case).
