So Red or Blue side first? Who is Vent Hosting? When?
preferably soon, like this weekend. -
You can replicate the effect now with Nukes. My understanding of it is to spread the different teams apart to the Nukes can hit an entire group with the regen buff and then work fast.

Quote:Fashion was leader for all but one on his controller. JL did the hami tank and main scrapper teams. Hound from EC18 was the original one to get enough people together to give it a shot.i dont remember who used to host the tuesday night raids this spring...ill do some thread digging to see if it made the change-over
There may be enough people around if you can find the right ones. Talon Flash knows the scrapper routine well enough to lead them, Lemur probably does as well. I can't recall the blaster who always lead that group but I bet somone does. The tank team just needs 2 good tanks and 2 emps who can keep one perma buffed. The 2nd tank is just a back up and picks up stray yellow agro. The controller/mixmash team is the only one I don't really know but I am sure its easy enough.
The fastest way it done is to have tanks taunt the yellow mito's while a scrapper kill team takes them down. Blasters/controllers concentrate holds on one green at a time so it can be damage spiked when its finally held. It just takes good timing. Hami tank needs plenty of EoE's and the more Hitpoints he has the better. Stones are pretty good but I'd use a Shields with tough and a HP build now. A good invuln with a fast recharge on DP works fine to. Only the Hami Tank ever taunts hami. That's Fashions guide in a nutshell except the extra tanks covering yellows instead of scrappers, that just depends on what shows up for the raid.
so its:
Buff Phase:
60 seconds: CM's on all, stacked as much as possible
20 seconds: RA's & AM on entire raid group
10: Hami tank goes
5: Scrapper kill team goes
0: Everyone Els into the Goo
Attack Phase:
1. Get Hami Agro
2. Get ALL yellow Agro
3. Spike yellow's & Greens
4. Clean up blues
5. Hami
6. Yellow Dawn every 25%
7. Repeat Till Dead
BTW having the team leads on vent really helps
I also heard that they are using multiple Nukes to buff the raiders redside so that could work Blue side as well.
Good luck, have funm EVERYONE HAVE A RAPTOR PACK OR FLIGHT -
There are very few people on Pinn who know how or are willing to try and coordinate a raid. Blue side you may have a few left, redside I think would be pretty hopeless considering the state of the last public raid. The only group I heard of doing private raids is gone as well.
If you want the basic strategy read FashionSense's guide but its been modified since then. Blue side I know it can be done with as few as two teams. -
I believe its twenty. But your correct, it is on the mission timer.

Brutes have a lower base for Hit Points, Resistance and Defense but have the same cap as tanks. They can be buffed up to tanker levels but are more comparable to scrappers in my opinion. If you do want to tank with your brute I would recommend either a Stone or a Willpower. Stone lacks mobility and unless you IO slot for Hitpoints a Willpower can be hit hard by a big alpha but most folks I know prefer them over the other options if your working with a limited budget.

that last match was all kinds of crazy. I just didn't have the speed to keep up with them when they rabbitted down the halls. I got eaten alive to it was so bad it put the in the hospital for 4 days. Literally, I just got home. I had pneumonia and didn't even know it.
-
that hurt my pride.
ok I am over it.
Nice job guys -
OK, I am calling some shinanigans. You can only rate out a certain amount of reputation every 24 hours? This is some Bull #$%^ Man!
Down with the Man!
LET US RATE! LET US RATE!
LET US RATE! LET US RATE!
LET US RATE! LET US RATE!
LET US RATE! LET US RATE! -
Thank you to everyone who posted in my thread so far. You have each recieved a Positive rating from me except the guy who is to good for ratings and turned his off.
-
Hey folks, since we have this great new rating system for the boards I think we should all trade ratings. If you rate me and post in my thread, I'll return the favor!
Thanks

SOLD! -
can we just consolidate all the rest of the matches into one night and get it done

I do, I play nothing but 50's at this point. I set them out and use whichever one I feel like playing. and its boring me to death. I don't play other MMO's because I don't like the fantasy genre and I don't like the speed or pacing of any others I have tried. With one exception but thats a few months down the road.
Now I just pvp to kill time or have something to do. I don't need Inf. I don't need purps. It just frustrates me to see a game I really enjoyed wandering around in the woods lost.
Like it or not most MMO players want and expect new content once they reach the level cap. That all the work of getting to the cap was worth the jounrey and now they want some reward. COH effectively says. Nice job, have a soda, go start over. Oh but if you really want to you can grind yourself to a crazy awsome build and then go stand in atlas and let people look at your set bonuses. -
I am not talking about the genre, or other MMOs. I am talking about this game and its the pitiful amount of attention the end game has. You have a choice of ITF, LGTF, STF, LRTF and the KTF plus 2 zone raids. All your other options are going back to do contect you could have done before you capped and maxed out your toon.
So your options are to go back and repeat what you've done, farm for an alts build, or play something else to 50 through all the same content again.
There is a reason this game never really grows. It takes what is a great idea, and some great systems and then expects its players to go play dress up dolls.
I for one am sick of it.
I used to like the people in this community but everyone, in game and on the forums, has really turned into a bunch of jerks. Myself included. Its a shame how far and how fast this game is falling. -
no, the most you get is a chance of one if you don't fight each other, or look sideways at each other, for 5 min. so its Kill, knit, knit, knit, knit, knit, kill. Hey I got a sweater!
and yes, let them farm with no restriction. The people that farm supply the people that don't. When nobody can farm, EVERYONE starves.
Except those of us that saw this coming and now have billions in Inf and Inventory from buying up the entire PvP market supply. Amazing how only 2-4 of each have crept back onto the market since. I wonder if those were real drops or someone flipping.
Speaking of flipping. How funny is it watching the flippers flip each others stuff into the stratosphere where only they can afford it. -
so basically if your in a decent fight with folks you only ever get once chance for a drop. Thus making them one step from non existant.
Go Devs -
and bling is only bling if you don't know what your doing with it.

I was using the TF an analogy for toon envy. People do ask all the time whats your build or comment on the performance of a particular player. How often have we all heard somehting like, " I was on an ITF last night with thie crazy XYZ, I wanna make one now but there is no way I could ever afford that build."
This is a super hero game. Why shouldn't it be expected that you should be able to maximize your potential in a reasonable amount of time. What I believe is that for a game who's end content is based on the concept of making a new hero that the time it takes to reach that level of performance should be easier for normal players. Not casual, I don't think they really exist, Just plain old normal guy who wants to have as much fun as he can in the time he has. -
I disagree. Every body I know who I would classify as casual players covets a set of purples but doesn't think they have any hope of ever getting them. They believe they have no chance of ever putting together a full set without selling their first born.
They also don't think thats very fun. They see me on one of my toons nearly solo the TF they keep dying in and it just turns them off. Why not enable everyone to have access to that same kind of gear through a friendly reward system. Just make everything purchasable by merits and increase the merit rewards for all the Not MA content in the game. -

Seems to me that if you make your set of IO's purple-level power, you should make them purple-level unavailability. If they're better than purples, they should be less available. And the devs are working on doing that.
The PVP IO's are purple-level power, yes? I haven't looked that closely because they're out of my comfort zone on price, and I don't farm diddly. . . but I have the impression that purples are more of a "once a day" thing than an "Every 5 minutes" thing.
(People do get 400 rep for badges, so there's a system in place that could be used to farm PVP io's, if it's tied to that. )
[/ QUOTE ]
Did you ever consider that the the implementation of purples and the random drop system used for rewards in this game is horrible? That it is an over used and miss applied time sink that actually punishes casual gamers instead of assisting them.
That they continue and encourage farming as a time sink while at the same time calling those same players cheaters.
That very little in this game actually rewards indivudual or team accomplishment with any meaningful reward. That you must repeat the content ad nauseum on the same toon to reach its full potential, at which point you have nothing to do but roll a new time sink alt.
Their own development philosophy has become currupted by lack of vision. Well except NCSofts vision of milking $$ through microtransactions.
They need to find someone how to make it fun again.
It time for new leadership on the dev team -

that made me laugh, seeing as how when i left for work the other day there was a bird and a duck standing in my driveway watching a squirrel and a rabbit hopping over each other. I wasn't on acid because they didn't speak.

Don't ever trust a Squirrel. They are out to kill us all.
