(After a few dozen posts have been made in a thread when you post a fairly generic reply without quoting the post you're responding to it pretty much means that anyone who posted before you could be the target of your bile.)
Just kidding, I don't like them, but have an understanding with them, they stay away from me, and I stay away from them. I've even watched a garden spider weaving a web in rapt fascination before (from behind the safety of a screen door, granted, but... Non-aggresion pact and all.)

That's not possible, they've mentioned LORD RECLUSE and STATESMAN. If they didn't drink the water, they wouldn't exist, nor would anyone with super powers.
As to those honking on mightily about this being a lead up to the flashback system, all I have to say is... Hell to the friggin' no. This is an awesome story, with lots of potential for awesome new content. Not a friggin' way to go back and get stinkin' badges you've missed! Sheesh! I will be greatly disappointed if that's the major thing in this issue. -
Did anyone else feel a thrill of excitement the first time you ran into DATA, took the elevator down, heard the portal tech tell you, "Portal systems are fully optimized, portal transfer is a go. Good luck, Typhoon Girl (or whatever your hero's name was)." and dashed into the portal to what waited beyond?
