Will they change the clue text for the first Clockwork mission, now? It'd be odd if my female spine scrapper still fit the bill as the Clockwork King's assailant.
Also, is anyone else sorta' taken back by the story? Blue Steel outright killed a man, someone he could easily has just disabled and taken into custody. That's dark, even for today's heroes. That, and the fact that Malaise was brain-washed into becoming a hero, sort of darkens the overall feel of the world Paragon's set in.
[/ QUOTE ]
Well, Malaise was techincaly had two personalities, one evil, one good, and the evil one was dominate. Sister Psyche surpressed the evil side.
As for Blue Steel, yeah, he's kinda evil now. Everyone! Lets go start an angry mob in Kings Row!
[/ QUOTE ]
Right, schizophrenic, but what did Psyche do? She constantly used her powers to supress his other personality. They didn't get him professional psychiatric help after that, they just kept Psyche on task to keep him brain-washed, and the moment that link was broken during the task force, he flips out and goes back to being evil.
[/ QUOTE ]
That's a good point, of course, we are assuming that this works for Psychics who's other personality is almost phyical. But Psyche isn't the best person as she has freely admited (okay, that's paraphrased from Hickman's arc) and took over the body of another women to keep on fighting crime. Granted Aurora was honored to hold her, but it also pretty much ruined her mariage for two years. Malaise was greatful to have his evil side surpressed, even if it meant a cnstant link.
Assumption, Sister Psyche is acctualy Mother Mayhem or is only a few steps away from being her.
[/ QUOTE ]
One of his personalities was greatful, I'm sure, but the other one was pissed off at being supressed, and now that it's dominant again we should all expect him to retaliate, somethin' fierce.
And it's been a while since I fought Mother Mayhem, but is she still Aurora, or have they replaced her with an evil Sister Psyche? -
[ QUOTE ]
I agree with you jack. I don't think the devs really thought that through. They left the ultimate cliff hanger with that TF, and i don't think they will ever tell us what happened to Malaise.
[/ QUOTE ]
I wouldn't bank on him disappearing forever. In fact, with City of Villains out now, I bet we'll be seeing him again soon. Someone's gotta' break Reichsman out of his cell, and he most likely had access to a lot of important numbers as a Freedom Phalanx member. -

Eh... it's still not as bad as Parallax and what that did with Jordan
[/ QUOTE ]
Completely different scenario. All Hal did as Parallax was try to recreate the universe. He was a villain, sure, but aside from the score of Lanterns he killed on his way to Oa, he wasn't a murderous super-villain. He was just a power-hungry lunatic who was trying to fix the universe. You can't compare Blue Steel to that.
Blue Steel killing the man who would become the Clockwork King would be more like Wonder Woman killing Maxwell Lord recently. She killed him so that he wouldn't control Superman's mind anymore, after Clark almost killed Bruce and Diana, but she could've kept him in her lasso long enough for him to be telepathically numbed and then sent to prison. What she did wasn't entirely wrong, but it was kind of preventable. Blue Steel just killed a guy in anger. -

So, I guess they're adding that in I1 for CoV? Sold! I'll be a Ninja/Enema mastermind!

However, the name implies the surfacing of the dormant villain group SPIDER (which does in fact still exist in the world of CoV) in Paragon City.
[/ QUOTE ]
It does? I thought that SPIDER was retconned into Arachnos for entirely out-of-story reasons.
[/ QUOTE ]
Both were spoken of simultaneously when I3 originally launched. And in an early CoV mission, I'm hired to sniff out a Council spy in Arachnos midst. SPIDER comes up, somewhere in the dialogue. -
I highly, highly douby Issue Six is going to be about a schizophrenic serial killer. Your Google-fu sucks.

Someone guessed this as the name for I6 quite a long time ago, in fact.

I think I said it'd be called, "Upon a Spider Catching a Fly". -

They're Roman? -
The same Azuria I have the Jewel of Hera to? Twice? The one who "helped" out Sister Psyche and Aurora?
-
Now, the real question is, who in their right [censored] mind would trust Azuria with a jar of that water? It isn't even in the vault.
-
That'd kick [censored]. Especially because I plan on playing both games at the same time instead of shelving my hero for a villain for six or seven months.

Personally, I suggested to them that if they DO put this in CoH, then instead of newspapers heroes could get a police scanner instead. And instead of brokers, you'd seek out the security chief of each zone who would give you the scanner frequency for the zone.
[/ QUOTE ]
That was my idea for unlimited level fifty content a while back. It was also my idea for making Blue Steel more than just a cop in a fancy suit.
[/ QUOTE ]
He already is, though. I mean, have you ever seen him run like a sissy little girl from danger? I think not!
[/ QUOTE ]
No, but have you ever seen him actually fight crime? For all intents and purposes, he's just some cop dressed like a Judge Dredd extra. -

Wow, I didnt think they would really take that name suggestion. Glad they did of course, its great.

While I would have preferred "Issue 6: Porky's revenge!", this works too.

How about "Issue 6: City Under Siege".

I find that unreasonably crude, you base, vulgar, witless- ah, [censored], I can't do it... I almost did, though! Ha! [censored]...
I love you. -

*realizes Jackson Turner has mysteriously disappeared as well*
Hey, d'ya' think he and- nah! Couldn't be! Jackson's got glasses and a slick hair cut, there's no way!
See ya', Gil! We were glad to have you as long as we did! -

Thank [censored] God! I love this man! First he raises the character limit for names by five and now this? If he weren't so hairy and evil I could kiss him!
