  1. That is the nature of MMOs. Balancing it to that point you are suggesting, one side will end up getting angry and will quit. The Devs are already in the middle. There's nothing more to it. They've balanced it to the way they feel can keep all sides at least somewhat satisfied. If not, then a playerbase will end up doing a mass exodus.
  2. Such is the nature of people and in MMOs in general. Can't do anything to really change that.
  3. It's not that big of a deal. Not like they can do that much dmg anyway. Dual Blades/Emp ftw!
  4. Only reason I PL any toons is because of that. I really really really hate the low level content. Having next to none of your powers is depressing. After actually playing most of my toons through that low level stuff, I'm so tired of doing so. I want to gouge my eyes out with needles.
  5. AF, didn't you know? Farmers are the devil! DOOOOM!!!1111
  6. EDIT: nvm, didn't mean to post something that shouldn't be posted. >.>
  7. No worries. New Patch Notes are going to be in effect soon.
  8. Exactly, yet people are still crying foul. Oh well.
  9. FFS. The Dev should just change the damn Comm Officers already so that we may move on to another topic where people whine some more.

Like seriously....there are OTHER Lieutenants out there that can be used with ease, to gain XP and what not.

    [/ QUOTE ]

To the best of my knowledge, those other things have lieutenant-level HP and do lieutenant-level damage. That's the difference.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Not much of a difference. Farmers will still blaze through them. Not that big of a deal.

i would strongly support the GMs severely reducing the amount of exp/prestige/tickets on all BUT Developers choice AE arcs. City of Farmers, with no one playing the actual game, is sadly what we have become....

    Ignorance is bliss.
  12. ROFL, a farm is a bug/exploit. I love that reason. It just made my day. I literally had a good laugh.
  13. Do you role play while playing Final Fantasy? Not the online Final Fantasy. Since that is an "RPG."
  14. This whole issue is deemed "LOL" to me. This debate has been going on for forever.

I like the "arguing" of both sides. It is entertainment. :O
  15. Exactly.

But hey, either or, if they do drop the Comm Officers, it's no biggie. There are OTHER Lieutenants that can be farmed and I'll still get my rewards that I want, and people will still cry more because I'm getting my rewards at a "fast" rate.

Changes can be good. I'll just find another way.
  16. Why are the naysayers act like there aren't anything else that can be used to farm besides Comm Officers?

Like seriously....there are OTHER Lieutenants out there that can be used with ease, to gain XP and what not.

There is nothing "exploited" anymore. It's working as intended. But hey...I'm not opposed to some "changes." Taking Comm Officers, that's fine. No big blow to me. I'll just find something else to farm. Either way, I'll still gain my XP/Inf/Tickets, whatever.
  17. I don't see a need for any NERFS whatsoever. If they nerf the XP for the Comm Officer, or anything else for that matter, that's across the board, even in actual content.

If they nerf anything dramatically, ie: XP/INF/Tickets, you can only go so much with doing "custom content" until everyone figures out that there aren't enough reward incentives for you to run anything besides a quick fix to the "Anything else besides the regular TFs or game content."

Overall, the majority LOOK for rewards. If the rewards aren't there, they will just go back to farming merits, and other TFs, and go back to their Perma 46s. It'll be a little slower than the MA, because honestly, MA level up speed isn't that much faster than the demon farm map or any other regular farm.

With that said, that'll end up leaving AE just a pinch of activity, but not enough for it to be constituted as a place to be a must play.

Nothing is broken. They took out the "exploits." Just play the game. Everyone has their own taste of what fun is. Let it be.
  18. Arc ID: 21261

    Morality: Neutral

    Length: Very Long

Description: A new threat has risen and it has both villains and heroes alike bracing for the worst. Out of the darkness rises a being that will forever change the face of this dimension. Necrosis has taken his forces in an all out war against anything and anyone that gets in his way.

What you were drinking when this was created?: Henny and Coke

    DISCLAIMER:

Just like NinjaVampyre's mission, this mission was intended to be a very intriguing challenge. Treat this arc like you would a Statesman or Imperious Task Force. I designed this arc to be a high level endgame content type of deal. It'll be the only "TRUE" arc I will probably ever create in this game. There are a lot of custom groups and AVs, and such. Thanks and have fun. >.>
