If you don't like people running AE to level, don't.

There is obviously a clear majority of folks who don't, so just team together and shut up already. "I think you make too much exp running missions, and would like the same exp for standing chatting with friends. Because someone passed me leveling while they were slaving away in missions, and frankly, that just has nothing to do with me, but thoroughly bothers me."

    What a bunch of retards.

    Dual Blades = yuck

Stick with Broadsword, Katana, Fire Melee, Martial Arts imho. DB doesn't do anything for you at all for PvP.

Your claws/regen might be better suited as well.

Those are the ones that I would probably vote for. Remember, these maps are the templates to choose from. It must be agreed upon by both parties that are involved in scheduling a fight. Like...when a fighter proposes to fight in Atlantic City instead of Las Vegas, stuff like that. Negotiations are conducted by both parties. The only thing the ruleset does is put in place a template for everyone to have a chance to compete. Barring the insane amount of space other maps have, if the majority will rule that they too should be allowed to be used, then so be it. Because at the end of the day, the ruleset is just a set of guidelines. Stipulations can be put in place if both parties involved in scheduling the fight agree to terms. This then in turns puts the responsibility to the fighters doing the negotiations. Accountability falls on them (parties involved in scheduling the fight).

The only thing that is TRULY enforced is officiating unbiasedness, and sportsmanship code of conduct. Otherwise, the ruleset is just a guideline so that everyone is on the same page. They are all amendable if the majority wants to change a guideline/rule.

I may not be a good player, but I try to show up to practice and do my best. And, I'm there for D8 if they ever need someone to fill. I may suck, but I can lock on most targets and at least have a little bit of a clue on evading. And, I'm cool with that. I have fun practicing and get better each time I get regular practices.

I'd definitely love to keep learning from my team- even if that meant that I wouldn't see a single official. Maybe I'm in the minority with that, but I'm sure there are some people playing D6 right now that feel the way I do.

I'd definitely love to join a 8v8 ladder team, even if it means being a practice only player.
It's called earning your stripes. There's nothing wrong with that. I'm in the same boat as you.
  8. You missed one week. It happens. Also, there are other factors that go into play. Feel free to make your own "predictions."

Note: This is at the Steel Canyon map, and you only have ONE real killer in your team. The odds are for WINNING the MATCH. Not 2nd place, not 3rd. Like it says, it changes over time.

Note #2: You guys only placed 2nd once. Not the last 2 weeks. Just last week.

It's pretty clear that the Exploiters have more man-hours to putting into finding exploits than the DEVs have to stop them.

Cutting XP doesn't solve the problem - just the leveling problem.

Based on your comment here ::

I can see why you are defending "ticket farming" and the exploits related to that.

Well, "ticket farming" is exploiting the system, so if you really want to stop the exploits then it should be done across the board.

To stop "ticket farming" from influencing the rest of the game, ticket sales of all non-AE related items needs to be stopped. This means that tickets could only be used to purchase unlockables and badges.
    I'm all for that.

Now back to the "farming" issue.
I am against "farming". You can't separate good farming from bad farming; there is just farming. Farming just for salvage, enhancements, or recipes isn't any better than farming for xp and most of the time level 50 farming involves xp farming for lower level characters.
Farming is an exploit issue that has plagued this game probably from he very beginning (it was around in issue 1!)

I would like to see a system implemented that curbs all rewards for missions repeated during a 24 hour period. Much like the merit system for taskforces, this would "convince" players to run varied missions rather than allowing exploiters to find "certain" missions and run them ad naseum.
Diminishing returns seemed to be the Taskforce merit solution.
I'd be all for seeing the first run being at 100% rewards (all rewards), second 50% rewards, more times gain 25% rewards. This would be for XP and all "drops".
I'd make this regardless of who the mission holder was. If a player (account, not character) runs the same mission more than once then this system would kick in.

I'm not trying to take away anyone's right to "get stuck in a time loop" and run the same mission over and over again if that is REALLY what they enjoy doing in the game - but I am against the excessive rewards that the exploiters that do this gain.

And yes. Farmers are exploiting the game. Missions are not "intended" to be run repeatedly for some increased gain. If you are doing something that "is not intended" and/or to yield "excessive gains" then you are exploiting the game. Since the sole reason that farmers are farming is for the gains and and missions are not "intended" to be run multiple times in succession - it seems pretty obvious that farmers are exploiters - pretty much the first and foremost exploiters of the game.
And this is where we disagree.......A lot of what you just stated is YOUR OPINION and not FACT.

EDIT: Also, I highly doubt the devs will listen to YOUR suggestion. If they still want business that is.

EDIT#2: Also...I just got my 10th Purple this month. Just after I replied on my first edit. 8)

Yes, that's right, I said it. I think that if this change, or any other that reduces some rewards really upsets you enough to start with this whole 'nuke it from orbit' routine, you really need to re-examine your priorities and grow up a bit.
They aren't the only ones nerdraging btw. ;-)

In my experience in PvP Zones often times those that are nigh-invulnerable won't fight with others that are in the same position. It appears that they would rather "beat down" those that have no chance of defeating them.

It seems like a very good balance to allow those that have no chance of defending themselves - let alone defeat their opponent - to get away.

It's a risk versus rewards issue.
Obviously, some PvP toons have "very little risk to no risk" to gain their rewards.
Other PvP toons have "little to no chance of been anything more than rewards for other players" (aka "they are all risk and no reward").

If you want to drive even more players from PvP, then fix this "exploit". I think there are hundreds more exploits that need to be looked at and fixed before this one - that includes others exploits in PvP zones.
I don't normally agree with Alt Holic...but this make sense. lol

My comment was sarcastic about the drops...but dying never hurt anyone in this game and it certainly wouldn't hurt for you to die instead of logging out.
Hibercamping is also a "cheap" tactic.

That's retarded. It's not even gamebreaking. It's been that way since forever. It's a dickmove, but a legal dickmove. Get over it and target someone you can kill within 10 minutes.

  21. It's not an exploit. This sounds like another form of crying because a target escaped the inevitable wave of Hibercampers.

If that's the case, I would like a 10 second can't hit target after being out of Hiber then.

A lame Fix for that matter. It made all the "storytellers" nerdrage. lol I still laugh at ALL these FIXES and NERFS.

Frankly, it doesn't affect me. But I just like rubbing it in onto those that think we're breaking the holy grail of MMORPG gaming by gaining faster rewards. Exploits...I don't care. It happened. But gaining efficient rewards at a faster rate than normal, doing them without EXPLOITS, and it's still looked down upon by these supposed righteous holier than thou people who think that it's wrong to do so.

Fix some more please. Nerf some more please. I love it all.
