  1. The NV4_disp is a Nivida graphic card driver file. I have had no issues for the year I have had this computer and the GeForce8800GT card....then all the sudden boom! Am I really the only person to get this error message?
  2. I reecently got the dreaded blue screen on my rig. It said the crash was caused by NV4_disp looping. I researched a bit and see this is a pretty common issue, but couldn't find a sure solution. Anyone here has this issue and if so, how'd you fix it?
  3. I'm Claws/Wp all the way. I might try something else later on, but I've been waiting to role a claws willpower brute eversince I first played WP in beta.

The servers are up and you can create characters, but you can't log in yet. Keep getting a message about they are doing an internal test and my access is denied.
  4. It never takes me more than an hour to hit level ten. I usually keep inviting people on the run to keep a decent sized team....but now I don't have to!

I skip the tutorial and go straigjht to Mercy with Kalinda as my contact. I immediately head to the Fateweaver, street sweeping the entire way there and back. I'm usually lvl 3 by the time I get back to Kalinda and get my first mish. I auto complete the Infected mission cause it's far away, do the rest on Kalinda's arc, then head to Mongoose and do the bank job.,,,then I head to PO.

This process usually take about an hour and leaves me at lvl 9 or 10. I plan on setting my difficulty to -1 for an 8 man team. With the increase to the XP curve at low levels, claw's awesomeness, and the change to brawl...Mercy will be a blur in the rear view.

Has anyone actually tested to verify that formula?
Arcana said she worked on it for about a year, so I'm pretty confident it's accurate.

  7. I suddenly understand why Arcana time is important. I'll stick with Swipe for now, but as I mentioned before, if Claws get alternate animations in the future...I'd definetly go with Strike. Of course if Claws got alternate animations, I'd probably want Eviscerate and have to rethink by entire build.
  8. Yeah, that's what I figured. How the heck can you get FU to recharge in less than 3.33 seconds to do FU/Slash/Focus/Swipe?
  9. Silly question. Does recharge time start after the cast time has ended, or as soon as the attack is activated? I've always assumed recharge time starts after the cast time is done....but I'm not 100% sure.

    Anyone?
  10. and that's the way the cookie crumbles....

I hope the alternate animations option is expanded on in the near future. I'd love to see a new eviscerate animation, and the new alternate animation for MA's Cobra Strike would be PERFECT for Claw's Strike. It's .5 seconds to long, but it has a pause in the animation that could be removed. Also, Storm Kick's alternate "gut punch" animation has a .83 cast time just like FU, but it looks way faster and would be a great alternate for FU and/or Swipe.

Thruth be told, I think they should make it so you can choose from mutliple animations for every power. If you have a 1.17 attack, you'd be able to choose from every 1.17 second animation in the game. This would be great fun.

This. I'm all about making a crazy ridiculous single target killer with godly DPS, but you gotta look good doing it, and Strike is teh ugly. I'm FU/Swipe/Slash/Swipe/Focus all the way!

Getting excited...I knew 16 wasn't going live today, but still ran to the computer and checked as soon as I got home from work :P

I'm just thinking, the only time one would really need that hi of DPS, is AVs...and then you'll either have a team, or the AV would need like 60% Lethal Resist before you're unable to beat it.

I think my math is right, could be wrong.

15 more DPS would bump that up, yes...but not by to much.
Personally.....I won't be happy untill I can solo Hami in under a minute. (<---Sarcasm) Some folks consider the end game to be spending hours doing calculations and tweaking builds to see how powerful you can actually make your 50's in this game. You don't need to put that much effort or Inf into a character to have fun and do all the content in this game....but it's alot more fun when you can charge into 99% of it solo and laugh at whatever it is trying to kill you....then tear it apart.
  13. Sounds fun. I doubt it would ever happen, but I'd be alot more excited about that, than double XP weekends.

  14. I'm glad they took the time to give Banes thier own power instead of the Accuracy toggle. One thing I don't like about Banes is that it's near impossible to have a constant melee chain with the four attacks you get. This helps a bit and boosts damage output, so I think it's good. I do have a few negative things to say though...

    1. It uses the same animation as Shatter. I have four melee atatcks with a Bane and if I take this I have a repeat animation? That's no good at all. Give it the Clobber animation.

    2. The 30 second recharge sucks. I'd much rather have the resistance debuff cut in half and get the recharge time under 20 seconds.

    3. Forcing people to take a tier 1 power first to unlock this one sucks too. It needs to be tier 1.

    4. It doesn't crit.
  15. Ahhh...just noticed FU is giving me 110% damage buff on the unregistered Issue 16 version of mids. Bummer... I was all excited! FU is suppose to gives 30% for 10 seconds in Brute Claws...right?

  16. Just curious Billz, when figuring your DPS, are you using Arcana time and all that or just in game cast times? Is there a huge disparity?

Right now I plan on using Swipe, FU, Slash, Swipe, Focus. With the damage buff from FU and 90% fury, I'm getting 270 DPS from my build on Mids. The total cast time of that chain with is 4.99 seconds, and it's doing 1345.4 damage, but I'm wondering what would happen if I factor in Arcana time and how much it would drop the DPS.

  18. I've sure noticed it lately. Even the forums have seen alot less traffic lately. What I noticed the most was beta. I really thought there were alot of people dieing to get in this beta and try out the new stuff, but ever since open beta started, it has been a ghost town on test.
  19. Your filthy CO avatar makes me feel dirty inside.
  20. Hadn't thought of that. Makes alot of sense though. I mean it's not like you need great protection against Psi all the time, and usually you will know it's coming before hand. Hmmmm.....
  21. Just for gits and shiggles, check out this build. With the Energize power I might actually make a Claws/Elec instead of WP.

  22. Even all IO'd out with a dream build and Overlord up, still has only 20% defense to Psionic attacks and no resistance to Psionic attacks. Other than that it looks pretty tight. Got the heal down to 23 seconds and with 10 enemies in range it heals for 64%. I just don't know if I personally would put the time and effort into it knowing I'd still have that Psi hole. Can anyone verify that Overlord doesn't boost Psi defense as well? It could just be a bug in the unoffical Mids I'm using.

    Pvp recipes

You spent 14.5 hours farming recipes? Hope it was afk farming. Don't your eyes hurt?
  24. I changed by build up to remove Shockwave and add Spin. My main attack chain is a single target killer FU, Swipe, Slash, Focus, Gloom....but even with it's longer animation and long pause at the end, Spin just does so much more damage than Shockwave and without the setting up of a cone or dealing with the KB. I'm still trying to come to terms with not having Shockwave in my build, but I know when I need to blend large mobs, Spin is just way better.

I might have to drop Gloom and get Shockwave also...my DPS will suffer, but Shockwave is too fun to skip.
