Update, for anyone else who's curious about this little item.
I've killed mobs near it, no effect.
Can't click on it, and cannot target it.
It is more noticable at night, but doesn't seem to actually "glow" though that could also be a product of video settings.
It may indeed just be a zone decoration, but I'm truly surprised I don't ever recall seeing it before. -
While running laps in Port Oakes, beatin' on Family, I came upon this. I don't recall seeing it before. It appears to be CoT in origin, but it's in the street (location: -945.9 63.5 -597.6 just South of the building we pay rent) where a manhole cover should be, and it is the only one I could locate. So, anyone know what this is or if it's just a zone decor item I've somehow missed for four and a half years?
Oh, and if you do know what it is, please toss in a link so I (and others) can read up on it too. -

Free Character Server Transfers for the Double XP and Reactivation Weekend!
The free character server transfer service has been a great success since we made it available to all our players back in December and there is no doubt that many of you have benefitted from it, whether to find a new home server or simply to do a little Spring cleaning amongst your hordes of "alts"!
We extended it once already until the end of February, allowing many more Heroes and Villains to server-hop and make new friends. Well, with the Double XP and Reactivation Weekend only a week away, there was no reason why we shouldn't extend it once more for everybody's enjoyment!
The free character server transfer service has therefore been extended by a week and will end with the Double XP and Reactivation Weekend on Sunday, March 8th at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time ( 2:59 a.m. Eastern Time / 11:59 p.m. GMT / 0:59 Central European Time).
If you thought you were going to have to carefully plan your last few transfers for the Double XP and Reactivation Weekend, we're making it a whole load easier for you!

I'm working on an arc, one paired with a great story a friend is writing on the forums. For the arc I need an indoor map complete with Carnie decor, I know of a warehouse map with loads of Carnie decorations throughout, but have as yet been unable to locate it in AE. I've "purchased" every add-on map pack AE has to offer. So, anyone know if the map I'm referring to is available in AE, and, if so, would you direct me to it?
To review, it's a warehouse map, it's unique, and it's full of Carnie drapes and curtains and whatnot.
Thanks in advance for your help finding this map. -

That´s correct - to access DP and DS you must buy GR - and if you buy it in advance, they´ll let you access the two new power sets on the live servers a couple of months before GR goes live.
I suspect you are making deductions based on what you've read and what you think they mean, but for every person who's certain they mean "on live" there's another who's certain they mean "on test". That debate is pointless, hard facts quoted from a red name are the only real answer. So, again, where did you find the "on live or on test" issue addressed by a red name? -
Yesterday I posted a request that someone from the development team and/or their representative clarify Avatea's comments about the benefits of pre-ordering GR. I pointed out the lack of clarity caused speculation and guessing, which in turn leads to rumor and pointless bickering.
Since then, a good number of posts have come along to demonstrate my point beautifully. A couple people are certain they know what's what, but no one, not one person has linked to any comment from a red name backing up their own opinion.
Arguments like "it's common sense", "it's just that simple", and "it must be" carry no real weight. Regardless of what we might want, hope for, or think; the development team is the only group of people who know when DR and DS powerset will be available.
Based on Positron's powerpoint show at Hero Con, these new sets are part of GR, but Avatea's post talks about early access to these same sets. No where does she specify where that access will occur, ie on Test or on Live, and that was and remains the question.
To those who've exhaustedly expressed their opinions on the topic, none of which have been a red name or NCSoft employee, if you have information to back up your opinion or theory please link to it in your post. I'd love to find a concrete answer to this question, it may indeed exist elsewhere on the forums. So, if you know where it is, dazzle me with your search fu and whip out a link.
Otherwise, there is no point continuing this conversation with more unsupported opinions and pipe dreams, well no point beyond inflating one's post count I suppose. -

I'm pretty sure they mean live servers - they've already announced that Dual Pistols started their closed beta yesterday, so saying people could beta test them again next month isn't really such a big thing - but saying people can get them on the live servers a couple of months before GR goes live is a pretty big hook, I think.
