Heat Storm hated owing favors, which is why Sergent Williams had called one in. He looked at both the rogue 'hero' Blood Wolffe and a ice gaint. He looked down at his dark blue costum with yellow detail. like flames in his jeans and on his long sleave shirt ended in lighting bolts, it had a mask, also dark blue, and his almost unaturaly red hair stuck out of it. He hated the thing, he hated it because it repressented heroes, and he had a deep haterd for heroes, how he ended up as one was a much longer story. He ran up the fire escape of the building and made it to the top in record time. The field was not one he liked, some poor sap was on the ground and the ice beast was looking around, what he hated most was the glare that Blood Wolffe gave him when he reached the top, the fearl gaze seemed to come from some different branch of the evolutionary tree.
"All right, lets get this out of the was, Blood Wolffe, other hero...I think and ice beast, surrender peacefully and blah blah blah. Right that about covers it. Now the real meat, Wolffe, get the hell out of here and I won't have to be mauled, other guy, get off the feild and let me deal with Icy." He was a realist, Wolffe had done amazing-and terrifing- things to those he stopped. He didn't quite like Wolffe, in his favor he wasn't a glory hound, and he didn't think he had some sort of moral authority from some past wrong, he did kill people, but to be fair he had killed a few of Crey out of sheer rage. But he did drag the title of hero trhough the mud abit.
Heat Storm held out his index finger and pointed it at the ice monolith. "Don't make me blah blah blah. Why can't the Winter Lord just give up." He got ready to cut the beast down if he got a winter lord style respones and he sure didn't want to kill Wolffe, mostly because he didn't want to fight him. -
Raymonds ax was held back by his scythe, then energy smashed into Reaper Man, the rolling ground caught him and flipped him up into the air. He felt the white energy more than anything else. He focused his dark powers and, to anyone atune enough to hear it, tore a hole in the universe and the universe screamed. He fell through the hole and reappered above Cele by following the sorce of the energy, "YOU [censored]!" And he brought his scythe down on her. He couldn't see her, but he hit resistance. He fell down to the ground and regarded the new foe. "Heh, so many prime parts, the doctor will be very ple-"
Alan had jumped out of Radons arms and into Reaper man. His claws ran across his face and pulled back his hood, his aim was ruined by his inablity to see his own body. His face was what you see on Vahzilok Cadaver without appering to be rotting, the three claw marks Alan left had a slow trikle of greenish brown icor. "What the hell?" Alan said as the robed figure torned towards him.
(OOC Note: I think Manofmanychars is about to miss another fight.) -
His targets disappered, he had a general idea of where they are by the to points of negetive energy, TWO!? So he is still alive. A burst energy hit him, a quick move of his scythe and he managed to stay upright, annoying
Alan regained contiousness and was floating in midair, "uh, what happened?" He said quitely, incase this was the after life, he had a feeling that it would be a good idea not to attract attention. Then he saw Reaper Man, what was odd was the area on fire had uncovered part of his cheast, it had stitches on it. What the hell is going on? He couldn't see his own hand in front of his face.
Reaper Man held out his hand and spread his fingers, "I could only wish I was the Grim Reaper." He unleshed a torrent of negetive energy on where, by the points of energy, should be.
(OOC Note: I take it that Lord Raymonds dog's are covered by the bent light.) -
The second she said she didn't work for the army anymore Gilth relaxed and walked away. He had an apointment to keep and was not in the mood for stalking her to make sure. But he was impressed, he was pretty sure his knife was well conceled and he had taken down quite a few people without them knowing he was going for it. He thought about it, he wondered what else she could do as he walked outside.
He walked down a street and then let his inhanced senses take over the looking. He caught Yowie's scent in an alley. He ducked in and looked around, he couldn't see his old friend. The he heard a sound so minute that it would be lost to the background sounds of the city, except to him. He went prone in an instant as the bullet hit the wall, instead of ricocheting off the cement wall it dug in. "Wonderful, someone wants to kill me." He saw a rifle being pulled away by the would-be assassian. He also saw a piece of fresh paper, he grabbed it and rushed up the fire escape. He drew a pistol, "Great way for my day to go. 8-tall-she-freak, Yowie's missing, and a Band member tried to kill me." He got to the roof, but the assailant wasn't there anymore. He looked down at the note.
Gilth, if you're reading this we at the Band want you to come back. Your sister is fine, no need to worry. But we can't let you run around anymore, your options are, a) rejoin your family or, b) we will be forced to kill you. It should be noted that we have fixed the problem with the rations.
Wester
"Wester." He rubbed under his nose and looked at his finger, blood. "Ah hell."
The dog bite Reaper Man's leg and ran away tring to vomit, the seacond dog took the blunt end of his sychte on it's side. He glared at them, and then at the rock man and then the girl. "Interseting," he brought the scythe down and into the man shoulder, the blade went in an inch and stopped, but he had missed the crystals and raw pain in the form of negetive energy carryed through. "I could do with a new arm." He said absent mindly. Alan had yet to get up, The jobs done, now to take my price. He pulled the scythe out and raised it into the air for another slice, this time on the interseting girl. -
Reaper Man didn't bother fighting the tenticals holding him, he was no stranger at all to negetive energy. He liked the girl though, and he knew someone else who would like her. He chuckled in his deep sore voice, he concentrated and the tenticals lost thier grip on him. He lifted his sycthe and cut the tenticals. He chuckled again.
(OOC Note: I'm going to wait for everyone else to respond before he starts fighting back.) -
After the flash cleared Will lost his focus and the bullet wounds hit him at once. He fell over cluching his arm from the pain. "Son of a..." Then the blood lose of his wounds caused him to black out.
Trevor got to the room Medb had been so kind as to provide. He wanted to strangle the women, she had caused him to many problems for one day, or a life time. The door was locked, I thought these doors were supposed to unlock for us automaticaly, Medb. Today just keep getting worse. "OPEN THE DOOR."
(OOC Note: The door happens to be the one Vance locked, he seemed lonely.) -
"How about bane of my existance." he had picked army brat, She's in the army, she better not be working for mine. He decided to follow her, besides he wanted to let his anger out on someone. "You work for the Army eh. You with the Band?" Gilth would never draw a gun on anyone who was unarmed, but knifes were a different story. He held his hand by his knife, using years of experience he made it look casual.
-
"You felt something though?" He asked Cele, yes, I'm not insane, he was there, oh I'm coming for you dad. Alan did an arm pump, the others stared at him. "Uh, sure why don't we get going back, I realy don't do much other than plan what to do next. It's kind of a boring life, but someone has to look after the city." He shrugged as they walked out of the ice cream shop. "I don't have much of a social life because most people can't stand me. Never realy bugged me, I guess you could count the Night Watch, but, well they aren't exactly social people." Alan rembered the first time he worked with Ghost Sentry, the guy seemed like he was listen to someone else when he was thinking. They were walking towards the tram with Alan towards the rear. "But they do get the job don..." Was a far as Alan got when he heard a click, all he had time to do was to get his dark armor up before the blade of the scyth hit his side. If it wasn't up he would have gone rigt through him, as it was the blade left a bad cut, not fatal, but enough to take him out of the game. Alan ended up in the middle of the street when he stpped sliding. Reaper Man let out a deep raspy sigh, "So much for doing this the easy way." He was ready for the counter attack and got his blade ready to strike whoever was nearest to him.
(OOC Note: I try not to take to much liberty with this, but if I let everyone leave they would just go directly to the academy and Reaper Man would be left out in the cold, so anyone who wouldn't have left the shop can stay. Quick note, he is not going to be easy to kill, consider him an archvillian. He's not quite, but elite bosses are just too weak.)
Glith was walking down the stairs to his room. He wasn't a very tall man, but was tall enough to considered normal, he had light red hair (Natural) held by a dark green bandana, he also was wearing a vest with enough pockets that it looked like it belonged to a fisher man. He had two pistols holstered at his side, but right now he was focusing on a note as he walked.
Gilth we need to talk
The usaul spot
Yowie
He knew Yowie wrote it from the absense of punctuation. He groaned, he was the same Yowie he used to know and consider his friend, this Yowie called himself Yowie. He bumped into someone. "Ugh, crap." He backed away and looked up and then looked up some more at the huge women, yellow women. "Meta-human." He said automatically, he wished he had said it quiter, he was certain she had heard it.
(OOC Note: What can I say, I wanted to add him in.) -
"Will needs some time to decompress after remebering Alice. It would be a good idea to stay away from him, it's not that he gets anger, he just can be dangerous." He glanced at Breakdance. "Don't take this place to lightly, it's kinda like an convention center for villians, anyone relizes your a 'hero' you might wake up. But you might not like where you wake up though. I'm going to wait for Will in my room, you can find me if you can come up with a better plan or if our mysterious friend contacts you." And with that he left the room. Why me?
Ghost looked at the new combatant, he didn't like where this was going. He was having trouble staying out of phase with time and the other man packed a mean punch. "I WILL KILL YOU TRAITO...What!?!...errr, fine" He reached into a pouch just as Will was coming at him. He pulled out a gernade and pulled the pina and ran. A bright flash of light covered the halls, Ghost covered his eyes and started to run and noticed he could phase through time now and made it away from them. "You better have a good plan...Wheres that?...Right."
(OOC Note: Ghost used a flash gernade, it isn't a normal weapon, but it is a temp power in the game and he doesn't have many. I would kill him, but big things are instore for him apperantely. I hope I didn't take to much liberty with Ghosts escape Combat, but your post said it was taking his full concentration to slow him so I thought a bright flash would be enough to break it some what and the further he got away the harder it would be, right. If theres a problem tell me before I can't edit it anymore.) -
(OOC Note: Now I have some catching up to do.)
Alan was abit shocked, he had assumed that Raymond was still royality, "Man, thats..." he paused as he thought of how Storm Wright would put it, something like, "Bollox."
"I don't kill anyone unless I have no other option, or an accident like driving my claws to deep or using to much negetive energy. Thats how Lance Corporal explianed it to me." Alan was moved by the speech, even though he knew it already, you can't live in Kings Row and not see the effects of gang voilence.
"Cele, your part demon? Then did you sense anything happening in that direction." He said hopefully and pointed towards Skyway.
(OOC Note: I'm faltered that you liked my character so much that you took from the idea Manofmanychars.
/em Ego grows to big for head.) -
Alan blinked, I hope thats a good sign. He turned from Radon to Raymond, "You didn't see anything? Maybe it was that armor of yours or maybe you just don't have an fears left." Alan said jokingly, but he thought about it, he couldn't see how it was possible. He didn't use the it often, but most of the Trolls had paniced and ran off the roof top. This was almost a big puzzel as what his father was doing. "Do you have any idea at all Raymond?"
-
Alan saw the whole gang was there, he didn't eat ice cream, often. He had a reason for being there besides companionship, or something like that. "Raymond, Radon, I owe you an explaintion as to what happened on the roof top." He took a seat at there table, Raymond didn't seem happy to see him. "When the Trolls were overwhleming us, I didn't use good judgement and I used my negitive energy to show you your worst fear," There was a stir "I didn't do it on purpose, I didn't have a choice, I don't practice with that power because it's to close to Death. It affected everyone. I thought a warning and it wouldn't affect the Trolls."
"I can understand if your angry. And I'm not asking for forgiveness, I just thought you should know." He liked the group, his irrational judgement had told them that they were good or at least entertaning people, and he hoped that his stupid idea hadn't ruined a chance at making some friends. He looked very wrong, his smile wasn't large, but it looked out of place when he was using such a serious tone. -
Alan was vaguely aware that Janice left, he was trying to stop his bones from shaking out of his body, atleast thats what it felt like. "How is it that I'm the only one who can sense him." He said to the surronding air and focused his thoughts. He made it to the gate to Atlas and got on the tram to Steel. The whole time glanceing towards Skyway. "I bet I could track him to the block." Caused several people on the tram to find new seats.
He found the the place and saw Buck and his friend inside, What was his name, Tim, tuck, something like that. He thought vaguly
In an office building a hero named Sergent Blue blasted a Outcast Match with pure blunt force. He reached down and picked up a key, "Now I got you Frostfire." He said to himself. He turned suddenly, "thought you could sneak up on me did you." He said with pride to a black cloaked figure holding a curved piece of wood.
"Thought about it." The cloaked figure replyed in a raspy voice of one who has a very sore thort. "But it's more fun this way." A dull curved blade came into being on the scythe. With one deft move the hero fell. "A pity."
The figured turned and brought the scythe in an arc to kill the man behind him. The man was just out of range. He acted as if nothing had happened. "Reaper Man, right?"
"Yes" Said the cloaked figure as he ready his blade to kill in an instant.
"Good, I have a job for you. I want you to kill a hero by the na-"
"I don't take requests."
"You do for people you owe favors, Fracture Line. Now I want you to kill a hero named Mended Ribs, you can take any who are with him and you can keep whatever you want."
"And who am I repaying a favor to?"
"An old friend from the Skulls." Reaper Man would have asked for more, but the shadowy firuge seemed to disolve as soon as he stopped talking.
"Alright." He hefted Sergent Blue's corpse over his shoulder and left.
Suddenly the feel that was his father was gone, "The hel..." Alan looked back at the other heroes, shrugged and went in.
(OOC Note: The middle part is Alans story starting, it will take a while to end. It deals with no single faction so it can work it's way into anyone elses story. I it does get involve with the help of the mysteryious man you can turn it down the offer and I'll stay out. So I'm not going to try and control the story, I'm hoping I'll be able to flow with it.
Just a quick note about Reaper mans description, when it say dull I'm not say it's not sharp, it means it doesn't glow.
I'm so sorry, I forgot that no one had said they were going yet. Managed to fix it though.) -
He receched for the coin, among Alans many bad habits and personalty flaws was making decisions on people after just meeting them. He had decided he liked Janice, even if she had a name for his gun, I've seen worse. But she got how this city worked, it's not that he enjoyed killing, but it had to be done sometimes and it was refershing to meet a hero who wasn't an idealist in this area. "Alright, I give some warning next time, I just don't now if it would affects my intended targets if I yelled it out up there." He carefully took it from her hand so he wouldn't cut her by mistake. It was an odd gesture, but it must mean something he thought. He resolved to look it up when he had the time. After that he felt like getting a drink, but he was a hero now and still a minor. "Well, lets go meet up with the others." He started towards the gate and then had a full body shiver. He looked, if you mapped it, towards Skyway. It was the clearest felling of his father he had ever had since the just before the Ritki war. He could fell it in the core of his bones. What in the name of...
-
Alan was glad that Radon was okay and he had to be ready for Janice. She wasn't happy about what he had done, but he wasn't the type how would try and slid around the subject, he took care of them head on. "You guys go ahead, I think me a Janice are going to have to talk." He said in a friendly tone, it almost sounded like they were going to sort out who was going to pay for a bill.
He hoped this wouldn't get physical, he had no buffer between him and Death and doing anything would ignite his soul. He would take whatever he had to though. He had a firm idea of what being a hero was about and while he didn't think he deserved the title he would live by the creed that he belived they followed.
"Janice?" -
Alan looked at Janice. His smile was thin and small. Then he looked down at the coin, he figured it was some sort of gesture. He didn't get it so he apllied his own logic to it. It had to have something to do with teammembers and it was thrown down, he figured that if he walked away or ignored it he would be abondoning the team, so picking it up had to be to mean he would stand by. He hazarded and picked up the coin. "It could have been worse. The Trolls could have trampled us or I could have used something else. That was the most bening thing in my arsenal." He looked back down at Radon, what happened? "Besides I got the worst of it." His shoulder still felt raw and painful, but he still didn't know what that little surge had done to his soul.
He heard Raymond and followed the voice to the hero and someone else was standing next to him. Then he saw Buck and his friend from the range. "Buck you got that box thing, can you help him with that." He pointed to Radon. He looked to Janice and tossed to coin back to her. "We have bigger problems at the moment so, could we resolve this later?" He looked down at Radon, his face was incapable of concern, but his twitching smile almost got the message across. -
Trevor wasn't happy about heroes getting involved, but it looked like he needed them. "Alright then, Breakdance, you might want to stay out of sight, same for the Containment. Someone might decided that having 'heroes' around is a bad idea." Someone like me. He picked up the emerald or whatever it was and put it in his pocket. Maybe Will can figure it out. But first things first. "Alright," He thought if he could trust Breakdance Kid. He decided that if he was going to trust him to save Alice then he could trust him to save to world, or how ever much damage the weapon could do. "We need to stop the weapon from falling into the demon-things hands. We can go about this two ways, one we could stop Medb from getting the weapon or two we kill the deamon before Medb gets her hands on it. Atleast those are the ways I could see doing it."
Ghost dodged and ran by Will and got his pistol back. He shot again and a well placed shot hit Will in the shin. That should slow him down. Ghost was impressed, it's not that Willwas faster than him, noone could do thta, but he was good a predicting his moves. But Will was loesing it, he was after all only human. -
Wasting no time Alan took down the Trolls to hopped up on Superadine to noticed thier fears. The others fled from him, more often than not falling off the rooftop. Alan's claws cut down three hestiant Trollkin and came down an another Ogre. He pushed the Ogre off with a few swift hits and another torrent of negitive energy. And then in Alan's left shoulder he felt unbeliveable pain.
Suddenly he let go of the negitive energy around him and knelt down. He looked at his shoulder and for a breif second there was a flash of purple-blue fire. "Idoitidoitidiot." he said under his breath. A Gradvord tried to hit him from the behind, but it feel to a flash from Sartian's rifle. I should have been pating attention, how could I not have noticed. He thought bitterly. The remaining Trolls were being mopped up by Sartian. "where are the others?" He asked himself.
Then he saw Radon laying on the ground. "Holy [censored]." He ran over to him. "Radon! Can you hear me!"
(OOC Note: Because Celestra Desmonte seems to be spirtauly aware, that fire on Alans shoulder was abit of his soul being burned. Negitive energy has had alot of affects on his body, his claws for instance, but it has gotten worse lately. It's starting to damage his very soul if he uses to much of it.) -
(OOC Note: Sorry should have made that clear, it makes you see you greatest fear. I know the in game cloack of fear doesn't affect allies, but Alan's inexperienced with it and I know that physcal pain can be less than emtoinal fear, but Alan doesn't know that.)
-
Alan looked around in quick glances as he held off 3 trollkin and a Jutal. Everyone was being overwhelmed, and things were getting worse. He wondered who had gotten the Troll this riled up. He didn't like it, but there was only one thing too do. He used a shockwave to knock the trolls fighting him back and let go of the negitive energy protecting him. Then he embraced a half of his powers he didn't like to use. A half which couldn't be explianed scientificly, a half that was close to Death. He covered himself with it like a clock and the mind warping effects of it began. He felt for his allies, because he was about to become thier worst fear but it would affect the Trolls and it was the least harmful thing he could do. He hoped Sartain's pills were working because what every had freaked her out at the practice range was about to happen here and twice as hard. He hoped they would forgive him after this. His smile was there, small, but it still showed teeth.
-
Alan turned around, he had seen a glow, but he hadn't realized that it was Radon and he hadn't rralised that Sartain was here. It's been a hour already? "Alright." Was all he said as he turned back towards the fray, Where do all these Trolls come from? He quickly slashed a trollkin with a sledge hammer, followed by a strike on atonthers cheast and a followed up by a focused burst of force that sent him off the edge of the building. A Troll jumped across the alley from another building. He bound over and hit him off as he landed. More where coming and he couldn't keep the all from off.
"Sartain I need support." He yelled as he knocked down another. An Ogre made the gap and he suddenedly had bigger problems than the Trolls that made it across.
A quick jump got him out of the way of superadine charged fist. HE got a good look at the Ogre and he saw a rarity amongst them, a female Troll. He had always wondered why so few women were interested in superadine, he pushed the thought away and got ready for, if Sartain fire was good enough would be a solo fight, he didn't have the resources for more. He brought his claws down in an arc for her. It was an odd felling as his claws almost bounced off her skin, if he hadn't lost feeling in his finger tips along time ago he was sure they would be unbeliveable painful. She hammered him in the gut, again his dark armor saved him, her fist most of had enough power to break a boulder. Negitive energy flared from his armor and stole some of her energy and some how transfered it into him to heal his wound. He didn't know how or care, it just had to work.
"I will crush you!" She bellowed.
"You be surpised how many Troll who have said that to me are in jail now, that is if they made it to the emergency room in time." He taunted as he got out of the way of a punch. He quickly stuck back, her skin must be rock hard, he was having trouble breaking it.
"I get back at you for Detritus!" She yelled as her fist hit the ground, the concussion knocked him back. He rolled out of the way of a fist coming down on his prone form. He got back up and he connected who Detritus was.
"He was the one in the Skull's Superadine lab, King's Garment District, right?" He landed another hit, but he wasn't doing much. Is she wearing aromor under her skin?
"YOU KILL HIM!" A punch hit his side hard and sent him to the ground.
He had an idea. "Pity that." And he held out a fist and released a stream of negitive energy at her, then he raised a second hand an d a torent of negitive energy engulfed her and knocked her off the building.
In the two second of calm, with the exception of the counds of combat going on around him, he thought about what had just happened. And he was flatered that he had managed to make an enemy in a gang. Well flatered might be to strong a word, but he was happy about it, it meant he was making an impacted. He got up and a got back to fighting the Trolls. The whole fight against her his smile never faultered.
(OOC Note: Sorry about the length, I was inspired when I started writing. Also ten points to who ever knows where the reference Detritus comes from.) -
"Neat trick." Alan said as Radon went out of phase. He ran over to the Hero-1 center. He opened the door to his room and grabbed a coat laying on the bed. Normal people put posters on thier walls, Alan had maps. One of Steel Canyon, one of Kings Row, and one of Eastgate. He quickly looked it over, red marks on the map said things like, 'Superadine hold' or 'possible slaves' and 'Frostfire's base?'. He put on the black jacket with a white rib pattern on the front. He looked at the map once more and toke off for Eastgate.
A few gravity defing leaps later, followed by a tram ride and some more leaps and he was in Eastgate. The first thing he noticed was several trolls on the ground. Then he heard the gun shots coming from a roof top and saw a group up there. He did another gravity defing leap and came down in the crowd next to what he realised this close was Lord Raymond in full stone armor. He covered himself in negitive energy and sliced his claws through an approching Troolkin chest, not deep enough to kill, he had been told over and over that now that he was a legal vigilante he could only kill in extreme situations and this didn't quite qualify yet.
"I thought I have a little while longer." His smile was huge and was showing teeth, he looked very happy. Another Troll, a Jultu he thought. His first cut unbalanced him, the Follow-up scored a deep wound. The troll slumped over on the railing of the fire escape. But it suddenly got better, Oh, so it was a Garvord. A spray of bullets hit his side and only thanks to his dark armor sapping them of thier kinetic energy did they not kill him and only leave several wounds, painful wounds. He saw the Trollkin that had shot him on the edge of the fire escape, a big toothy grin almost snapped into existance on his face and shadows ran across it. It was abit scary to see it, but the trollkin the gaze connected with froze from fear, he lost control of his muscle and let go of the gun he was holding. The Gravord he had hit had gotten up and had pulled a piece of the gaurd rail out and charged at Alan... -
"Great to hear. Well be meeting at the gatw in about an hour." Alan was still abit curious about Radon, he had sorta changed after he had talked to him. But he had to get organized so he let it go, for now, Plenty of time once we get to Eastgate. "I've got to get my stuff ready, so I'll meet you there." Then to Alan's delight he relised that Radon had protection on his hands and egarly held out his hand to shake Radon's.
(OOC Note: Since Alan can't shake hands with out hurting the other person he misses it.) -
(OOC Post: I'm here, I'm just trying to come up with the apporprate response.)
-
"No offense taken, just trying to place the name. It's a element right, radioactive? But thats not important, I just want to ask if you would like to come with to Eastgate." Alan caught on to the fact that he apperantly didn't want to talk, unfortunatly for Radon it only made him more interested. He thought about it for a moment. "I did get your name right, right?"
