how do you sign up for one of these

    [/ QUOTE ]

There's a link in Dr. Mechano's original post to Psygon's City of Cute page. Click on the request link on that page and fill out the form. Then just check on the page again in a few days or so and you'll probably see your name appear in the queue. Then just wait. Psygon will email you when she's cutified your character.

Update: Just checked it myself and saw there's a new note there that she's not taking new requests for a week or so. Guess you'll have to wait a week or two before submitting.
  3. I'm sorry for your loss, my thoughts and prayers are with you. Take all the time you need, the light at Guardian will be on as always.

    Name: Flame Enchantress

Bio (for the most part this is all of Flame's original bio with some added pieces from some googling I did):

Flame (Scintilla Rose) spent her childhood in the High park neighborhood of Kings Row. When she was fourteen her apartment complex was caught up in the center of a Skulls Raid. Her parents had just enough time to hide her in a crawlspace but unfortunately it was too late to save themselves, and they were both murdered. Afterward she pledged a genocide of sorts against the skulls and and joined the Hellions. When she was nineteen she was already a Fallen Lt. and led a group of Hellions into Skulls territory to plant explosives. Unfortunately they were found out, and all killed.

While in "limbo" she was spoken to by the Guardian of the Watchtower of the South. He sensed an underlying goodness in her, and was willing to overlook Scintilla's method of trying to wipe out the Skulls. He then blessed her with the ability to control his element: Fire. With the archangel Michael being the representative of the South, he bestowed to her a flaming sword, one like those that are wielded by the angels that guard the gate to the Garden of Eden. Scintilla was then resurrected to become the Flame Enchantress and to do the Guardian's will on Earth, and to protect people from the evil magicks of Paragon.

In case this look causes any confused looks, I'll explain my version. heh It's a slight bit of a departure from her first costume I know. I kept the red and orange and the flame cape as I thought it was key to her look. Same with the blond hair, I just gave it a more styled look that I thought went well with the wings (I'll explain those additions in just a bit). Since she's a magics user I kept with the witch stylings for her top, skirt, and leggings as I wanted it to be the base of her theme, and I added the high collar and cape to give her an experienced magic user feel to her. The fiery aura on her eyes I thought gave her that powerful intensity as well.

Now for the two major changes and reasons why:
The Valkyrie pieces - this came from the representation of Michael as well as being given a flaming sword. She was more or less give the charge of an angel as well, so also provided with the armor for one. Scintilla being the woman she is, selectively picked what she needed, but more or less displayed her more witchy side. From my thoughts, the pieces I added seemed to go well enough with the witch pieces already there, if not enhancing them.

the green coloring - This was influenced by the Tablet of Union, where each tablet that represented the four elements associated with the Guardians had a base color, and lettering in it's complimentary color. Her Guardian being the South, the Fire, the colors were naturally red base and green lettering. So the mystic symbol and magics on her gloves are green, and it seemed to balance the look over all to have the Valkyrie belt with green stones, as a symbolic central focus and base of power.

All I can say is Wow. I think I was just outdone.

Edit: You know, I think I may need to use your idea with her sword as "canon" Flame. I've always wanted her sword to mean something, and never got around to sitting down and really trying to come up with anything good. That was an awesome idea.

    [/ QUOTE ]

heh nah, I think you did a good job with a new look for Heri. Her top, belt, cape, shorts hair and eyes fit her. I like that you kept the glowy eyes. On that page of hers that I wrote, Heri talks about that as something she wished she could have hid as a kid but never figured out a way and was self conscious about it, so its something part of her that has always been part of her identity and her memories. The armor-y isn't what I think of Heri, but it could be within range, especially if her bio and background had changed. As is, it's something that's more Lady Heri-ish, but ya made Heri look still look like Heri. And she looks like she could fit within Flame's group and her sisters, based off running your MA arc about Flame

Glad you like the idea where the flame sword came from. It was something that seemed plausible given the Fire Element and Michael the related angel. Granted he's not directly on of the angels that guard the gate, but he could possibly have thought to have given the sword one chosen as a protector.

And whether you were outdone or not, meh. It's all fun here. Both our chars turned out well I think. Personally the "Guardian of the Watchtower of the South" gives one a whole SLEW of possible ideas to toss at your character. Google or Wiki that and there's all kinds of info one can grab and apply to Flame Enchantress. So that's what I did, I just plucked what seemed to fit with what bio you already had. heh
  6. whoa.. thatz uber coolness man. that'd be so cool to get one of those.

  8. awesome pieces as always Bayani!
  9. heh we're just messin' Pep, threadjacking is just a Guardian thing.

Happy Birthday and sorry for the loss *puts on a 'Yotes Howler costume and points to the bench and gives Pep a fishing rod*

I won't be able to make it to the event, will still be at work ,but have fun everyone.
  10. *goes and gets the strongest stuff from the bartender hoping it'll start the car*
  11. I like the hesitance of the pose... she's got that initial "oh crap what's that" vibe going, yet she's still confidant and tough looking, like you know she'll be able to handle the big beastie in front of her.

    Scion of Zeus!!!

I'll chime in and apologize as well, I didn't say much because I got where TA was going for regarding Greek mythics and stuff. I've read the poetry of Sappho back in high school so I was just kinda grinning and snickering at TAs joke and what not and couldn't help but grin more when the joke kept getting more comments.

That said, the costume does have an interesting yet unorthodox look.

I've rarely seen the angelic pattern used on a guy as well, but it gives the costume a barbaric Black Adam kinda look. So it's pretty unique if nothing else.

  20. I might take a stab at this tonite if I get any ideas. Not a bad idea to get the helmets to make the Mu connection. Just an added note as well though, all the CoV preorder helmets are vet rewards for the 51st month, Tried and True

I'm definately not trying to ruin the fun in this, but really, isn't this the question being asked:

"Which performs better in this game, stacked buff/debuffs or damage?"

Call me crazy, but I'm guessing that the Controllers are going to win handily. Just like they would against any other "all-one-AT" group except possibly Corruptors.

    [/ QUOTE ]

maybe, whatever the reason for it being run, it sounds like something fun either way, on either team, win or lose rregardless

put me on reserve for this, not sure what I'm doing that weekend yet. I can bring something for either side.
  22. Yup I agree we need to see the original costume as well as some short bio/characteristics/traits thing, probably the in game bio window if nothing else.

We'd need the original costumes as it is a reimagining an established character, so while the costume created may not look anything like it, like even some of Stan's reimaginations weren't, many were similar.

In a sense we're doing something in the same line along Ultimate-izing our characters.
  23. you can check out my collection if ya want. come to think of it, I think I barely have 10 of only a few chars. I keep spreading commissions among 10 chars, so only one or two, I think Heri and Herri, really have anything built up so far.

    Warm-up sketches

omg.... I remember this being something mentioned and Cryptic wanting to do this a while back, like a few issues after CoV came out. It was mentioned that the dev team was trying to work on a way for each to switch sides but it never was followed up and got shelved and I figured it was a lost idea.

To hear it going real? whoa.....
