  1. Well, I played with it a bit with my stone/fire brute, and it doesn't seem to be that much of a painful hit. I'll miss the option when I've got a couple of dominators behind me, but it's still up fast enough to be useful for my personal AoE combos.
  2. Helshezag buys hideously low quality $20-40 swords out of catalogs, by the dozen. With the number of blades he's broken fighting robots and other menaces that swords are generally not designed to contend with, he decided that expendability was more important to him than quality. His own abilities make up the difference long enough to get the job done, usually. After all, while cliche holds that crime doesn't pay, stopping it isn't the most lucrative activity, either, and he's a very long way from being made of money.
