    Green dot on map

I am working on my first arc and when I went in to test it there was a green dot on the map at the very back. It was near where the boss spawns when all the glowies have been interacted with but not quite where he spawns. It seemed to lead to a room with locked doors. Anyone have any thoughts?

Also while in test mode can you have teammates to help you test it out? Haven't tried it yet but was wondering. That way my boss could show as a boss instead of just a Lt.

You can create a custom critter to be a hostage, so yes, they can look like a child. The only problem would be it cuts into the number of custom mobs you can add for enemies, allies, etc.

Cool, I probably won't be doing much custom mobs to start with. Figured I would start with something simple and see how that goes. Thanks for the help.
  3. Actually, I am wanting the hero to have to rescue the children from those evil villians, so the kids won't be fighting or anything.
  4. I'm sitting here at work thinking of an arc or two and was wondering how much can you customize the person to be rescued. For example can you make them look like a child? Opening night I played with MA just a little but didn't get a chance to dig into things much yet as the in-laws are in town.

I had this typed up, but it ended up in another thread:

I'm not going to get into the discussion on whether or not this even needs looking at, there's plenty of back and forth as is, and I have no strong opinion one way or the other, however I think that even if this is put in /camp shouldn't be the command for it. That lends itself more to the wilderness of other games, than the Urban nature of this one. /Timecard, maybe?

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Or Punchout.
  6. If the reason was so folks couldn't switch quickly I could live with a 60 second logout before a direct switch. Sure it wouldn't be much faster but I could step away for a second while it processed and besides I am lazy.

And since the OP said it would keep the 30 second timer no exploit is available.

He only mentioned that after he realized that his original NO TIMEOUT EQ2 idea wasn't going to get any traction here.

Actually EQ2 also has a logout countdown of 20 seconds even when doing /camp so it can't be used as a get out of jail free card there either. I added it to the second post as I noticed I had forgotten to mention that detail. I never considered an "instant" switch, as at the least you could use it as a I'm about to die quick "camp" switch. The trouble of posting something you are so familiar with it's almost instinct to folks who aren't familiar with it.
  8. What it does is say you are logged into one character but want to switch to another. Right now you have to logout to the login screen, relogin, pick a server and then pick the character you want to play, with /camp you would just /camp <name> and after the 30 second delay you would be logged right into the second character bypassing all the other fun.
  9. I would like to see the ability to do something like /camp <char name> and be logged directly into that character. With the way the system is set up it would probably have to be only to characters on the same server but that would probably cover must of the switching that most of us do. EQ2 has this and I find it incredibly handy.
