    creative rut

If you do choose villain-side, be sure you're on the right server because it can be extremely dead in the Rogue Isles at all hours if you're in the wrong one. Unless you prefer solo-play...

Personally, I can't stick to a character because I'm usually inspired to make another one after ten levels or so. My advice is similar to those above:
    1. Choose a couple of powersets that make you tingle inside with excitement
    2. Make a costume that has its own unique flavor where the pieces smoothly compliment each other
    3. Pick a name; I prefer keeping it to one or two words that are easily recognizable and isn't a joke (ex. Morale or Pyrefox). It's difficult playing a character named the Pink Cheerleader, unless that's your thing.
    4. Get a feel for your powers and play through several levels, do you like how they work? If so, then build an in-depth backstory to lay the foundation of the soul. If not, avoid the backstory, because nothing is worse than coming up with a completely original story for a character you'll get bored with playing. If you're pulled out of your rut, you'll find this foundation continues to grow on its own as you play.

Just my 2 inf, some will agree, others will disagree.

P.S. Heh, now is the time to make wizardish characters with the new booster pack :P
  18. Oooo, looks like stained glass
  19. "Or scarred their sensitive eyes yet? You might as well take your showers in a swimsuit." Meaghan gave another short laugh before slicing a cluster of noodles into smaller bits. "So how was Jones? Ask you anything interestingly boring?"
  20. Meaghan sat down at the bar stool beside him and sat straight with poise. She pulled a hair-tie from her pocket and pulled her long hair back into a ponytail before grabbing the utensils, which she held carefully.

"Thank you...Hunter," She let out a slight laugh, it was strange calling him by that name, "Sorry... Thank you for the offer, but I have my own place, somewhere where I'm not being watched by our friends." She took a moment to point out where five cameras were carefully hidden, giving a three-finger wave to the last one. She then sliced open a meatball with a knife and ate the steamy morsel.
  21. Alex smirked at Blake for his response, "Heh, no worries there. Debt is always fun to have when you're the one collecting."

She hit the speed dial that called the local Pizza Cut and ordered a large stuffed crust, pineapple and pepperoni pizza with extra cheese. The sweet juices always mixed perfectly with the cheese...it was pure heaven. Alex was briefly put on hold, but took the moment to talk to Blake.

"Feel free to turn the T.V. on to whatever, or pick a movie if you'd like." Then the pizza-guy came back and continued asking her a bazillion questions. I just want the freakin' pizza, blast it!

    -----------------------------------------------------

Meaghan looked directly into Hunter's eyes and grabbed the plate he offered her. She moved forward and embraced him in a warm hug, carefully balancing the plate behind him.

"Nothing," She responded to his question, though it was a heavily veiled lie, "He didn't say anything at all about you when you disappeared...it was almost as if you fell off the earth." She didn't want to tell Hunter the truth. Father never ceased to praise her for her brilliance, her skill, or her ability to adapt and learn new ways to use old tactics; but his praise always was followed by a sharp insult of her missing brother.

Truth was Hunter never left the household...his memory tore at both their minds in its own way.
  22. Heh, well I got another piece for my Gray Huntress collection

I was really impressed with CelticBolt's art that I got from him last time that I had to commission an encore. So here I present with pride, his render of

    Jackalynn!

Gray Huntress' archnemesis and darker sister clone. She's a powerful telekinetic genetically altered by the Council at the testing laboratories where the Legion clones were created. She is what Gray could have been if a rogue scientist and the bounty hunter, Mist Arrow, didn't rescue her at 'birth.'
  23. Wow, really nice pieces you got!

I just started buying commissions a few weeks ago myself...it's like Pringles, because once you pop you just can't stop!
