If you want to avoid just a random PuG I would suggest joining a one of the many Server specific global channels. I know there are always TF/SFs being formed on them and most are pretty capable. VU2009 seems to be the most used.
To join you can type /chan_join VU2009 and then send a tell to one of the channel mods to unsilence you.

I do believe when this was brought up before to the moderators there was a claim that the daily Rookery threads were in fact role-playing threads so were exempt from the forum rules. However, even a non-roleplayer can scan over the daily threads and tell that they are far from RP. Several of the other servers have long-standing threads that are full of fluff and kept to one thread with no issues. I think J-Force on freedom has been around for years.

Here's mine! I created it not too long ago for use on the Fusion Force site. The previous one I had was about 3 years old. This is my main character in Founders. I used Photoshop to fill in the name over the blast and the SG name.

Grae, your powerset listing in your banner is almost unreadable. The outerglow combined with the non-serif font and slant is just too much to distinguish through.
I did shrink the banner from the original size so that may be part of the problem. -
