When you least expect it I'll drop out of the sky to SB you
[/ QUOTE ]
Good luck surviving that visit down to the clearing group -
I promised myself I wouldn't do another raid until Issue 9 but I'll see if work commitments will allow me to come along to this one.

PA get eaten alive by Hami in Issue 9 so you can be sure I'm waiting for it

There may be a need for someone with group fly also?
[/ QUOTE ]
Hibernia has Group Fly and if we have enough flying kins that I don't need to perform speed boosting duties on Righteous Bob I can use my group fly too. -
As this will possibly be the last old-style Hami raid we ever do could all PA droppers and Kin boosters try and get to the Hive a little ahead of time so we can get properly set up with a good PA coverage for the start of the raid - it'd be nice to have this last raid pass as smoothly as some of our better raids
-
FF/Dark is excellent, especially when teamed with someone to control or manage the aggro generated by the cones and aoes.
-
I'd be up for dropping PA one last time. The 18th was a Sunday last month btw - this month it's a Wednesday.

Cool, the add hero function works nicely
It might be no harm starting a fresh thread with the link in the first post and with instructions telling people to add their own heroes themselves (maybe even ask Bridger to sticky the thread so it doesn't disappear?).
-
No one needed to be particularly "sensitive" to see the naming and shaming that was going on in this thread prior to clean-up

It's a pity Inv toggles don't recharge as quickly as Ice Armour toggles do - we wouldn't need to worry about detoggling before the crash then.
[/ QUOTE ]
Actually I havent worried about detoggling myself at all.. Dull pain is the crucial part imo.
[/ QUOTE ]
I'd only detoggle Unyielding and then only if I've a little breathing space to actually thinkUsually it's a case of popping a few lucks when the icon starts blinking and then a catch a breath followed by Dull Pain. I generally don't see a need for running Dull Pain while Unstoppable as I have Aid Self to keep my health topped up.

I'll be there for PA dropping and will be happy to co-ordinate that side of things if required.

My FF defender has both Leadership and Medicine. Maneuvers does make a difference to a team's survivability but there are still situations where someone gets into trouble and a little healing can make a huge difference in keeping them alive. My enjoyment of my character increased a lot when I added Medicine to my build - I felt more able to respond to situations as they arose. I'd probably have picked up Medicine anyway for Aid Self even if Maneuvers was enough mitigation by itself for the team - spamming Tenebrous Tentacles and Dark Pit does tend to draw a good share of the aggro my way

In their opinion, yes. In my opinion other secondaries can be just as much fun as psi, rad and energy. I love /Dark on my bubbler and have never gotten bored playing him on teams. A person's characters are what they make of them, not what others would make of them... Also note that advice given further upthread was for a specific build concept so possibly those opinions' validity only extends to that specific concept (or possibly not
).

Good raid. The server disconnect really cleared up my lag - we should do that more often

Sorry yes, by macro I meant using the dragged down button from the pet window.
I generally just use the "follow me" and the "attack my target" buttons. My scrapper can handle some hits from the turrets so I generally use the follow me command to drag the Heavy into melee range. I do the same against the Arachnos bosses. Follow me does cause pathing issues sometimes but I'm not going to die if I take a couple of extra seconds to move about. For fighting villains I much prefer the attack my target command as it's a lot faster than having to select a place for the Heavy to move aggressively to like you would have to using your macro. Once I get my ill/ff to RV levels I'll probably use your goto macro for turrets though - it looks like a safer option for a squishy. -
An "Attack my target" macro is also very important imo - if I'm jumped I like to focus my Heavy's attention on my attacker asap rather than have it keep working on a turret/Arachnos boss while I'm being debuffed and whittled down.

(until I9 thanx for the head up Xanthus)
[/ QUOTE ]
I wouldn't take what Xanthus said as gospel - there's a small chance he wasn't being all that serious when he typed that... -
My opponents in the zones are welcome to voluntarily handicap themselves if they want to but that won't stop me using any inspirations I have to enable me to stay alive. I generally don't go for refills when I've used them all though - it's too much effort and I'm naturally lazy.

looks like the Iron Monkeys will be fielding a team too

If that team was to contain a percentage of PA droppers/flying Kins it'd be greatly appreciated -

Does Detention Field work on the Heavies?

Sonic Cage does, so I assume DF works too.

Cheers, that'll be handy when I get my ill/FF up to RV levels. -
